The Tale Of Three Sisters - Chapter 195
The group arrived in the mountain.
Kate and Ella give their older sister a tour of the house. They went to the flower garden, fruit garden, and backyard.
Next, they brought Ivy inside the house and give her a tour of her new home.
Kate smiled at her sister. “Do you like your new home?” she asked.
Ivy smiled. “I like it. Is this your home?”
Kate shook her head. “Not really, but the owner of this house already passed away, and she has no relatives. So, we might be called the caretaker of this property for the time being,” she answered.
Ivy smiled. “Don’t worry… If I can find a home of my own someday, I will no longer impose on you and your sister,” she said.
“Don’t mention it. I guess we will be staying here in this house for a long time until something comes up,” Ella interjected.
“It’s a beautiful home. I don’t mind staying here,” Kate stated.
“Me too!” Ivy spoke cheerfully. Then her face turned sad after remembering that they just buried her husband today.
Kate noticed the sadness in her eyes. “Why do you look sad?”
Ivy sighed. “I miss my husband. I’m feeling sad that he died. I will never see him again,” she said with a hint of longing in her voice. Then she burst into tears.
Kate and Ella rubbed their sisters back, feeling lost on how to explain to their sister that she was mourning for the wrong person, that her lover didn’t die, that Zemeth was very much alive standing just a few meters away from them. But even if they explained the truth to their older sister, Ivy will never understand a thing.
Zemeth, Aspen, and Ramza looked at the sisters talking to each other.
“I’m relieved that Ivy seems to be warming up to her sisters,” Zemeth commented.
“That goes to show that blood is thicker than water,” Aspen replied.
“The pain in Ivy’s heart after seeing her husband met a tragic death, and buried in the coffin will take a long time to heal, bro. Are you up to the tedious challenge of waiting for her heart to heal so that she’s ready to love again?” Ramza questioned his friend.
Zemeth smiled. “No problem, I’m willing to wait. What important for me is that she’s alive! I’m thankful for that reason alone. As long Ivy and I are still alive, there’s a big chance that our love story will have a happy ending,” he said optimistically.
Aspen patted Zemeth’s shoulder. “What a patient man you are, bro! I wish that you and Ivy will get your happy ending soon!” he said with a smile.
“I hope it will be soon!” Zemeth said energetically. He looked at Aspen. “By the way, I was wondering where the butterflies took Esmeralda’s coffin? Do you have any idea? How to give her a proper burial when we don’t have a body to bury?”
Aspen breathed deeply. “That’s what I’m also thinking right now. Where the hell those butterflies took Esme’s body? I’m confused,” he replied.
“Maybe, the butterflies brought the crystal coffin into another world or dimension. They are the only one who knows about it. If that leader of the butterfly was Immortal Vearah’s spirit animal, then Esmeralda’s body is in good hands,” Ramza expressed his opinion.
Aspen sighed. “The butterfly didn’t even give me a few minutes to grieve on Esmeralda’s remains,” he said in a disheartened voice.
“Don’t lose hope, bro. Maybe the butterfly will return Esmeralda’s crystal coffin to us… one of these days? Perhaps?” Zemeth said.
“I hope so!” Aspen remarked.
“Why don’t we go outside and visit the fruit garden? Right now, I’m in the mood to eat my favorite fruits!” suggested Ramza.
“Alright, let’s go!” Aspen and Zemeth replied in chorus.
The trio left the house and went to the fruit garden.
While Kate and Ella brought Ivy to their room so that she can change her clothes and have a rest in the bed.
“You can sleep here, Ivy. You may change your clothes into this clean one, have a rest. We will wake you up if we already prepared our meal for lunch,” Kate said.
“Thank you, girls!” Ivy said with a grateful smile.
Kate and Ella left the room.
Outside the bedroom.
Ella looked at Kate. “I’m happy that sister Ivy is alive and back in our midst. Too bad, she forgot about us!” she said sadly.
“No, she didn’t forget about us on her own accord. Her memory was forcefully deleted from her brain by that vampire Maxwell!” Kate replied indignantly.
“Speaking of the vampire brothers, do you think they survived when the castle was burned down by the blazing barrier?” Ella asked, out of the blue.
Kate looked at the ceiling, trying to find the answer to her sister’s question. “I want to believe that the vampire brothers perished along with the castle. Honestly, I don’t want to talk about them anymore. They give me nightmares!”
“Alright, let’s stop talking about them,” Ella agreed.
“Let’s go to the kitchen and prepare something for lunch. My stomach is already grumbling,” Kate said and walked towards the kitchen, followed by Ella.
Meanwhile… at the fruit garden.
The men were discussing the vampire brothers.
“Do you think the vampires survived the blazing barrier’s destructive force?” Ramza asked his companions.
Zemeth took a bite of the red crunchy apple. “Maybe yes, and maybe not. But judging how the castle burned and transformed into a lake – makes me believe that no one survives unless they hide inside the same crystal coffin that Esmeralda and Ivy have taken refuge with during the destruction.”
Aspen smiled. “Guys, let’s stop talking about those vampire brothers. I’m sure they already turned to ashes. They’re not worth our precious time,” he said while peeling the orange fruit with his hands. He looked at his two companions. “So…what are your plans, now that the castle was already destroyed?” he asked, curious to know their plans.
Ramza grinned. “I want to settle down with Kate, marry her and raise a family,” comes his quick reply.
Aspen smiled. “How about you, bro?” he asked Zemeth.
Zemeth smiled a bit. “I also want to settle down and marry Ivy. But that would take a few months from now. Hopefully, I can make her fall in love with me at the soonest possible time because I’m excited to raise a family with her,” he said, beaming. His eyes filled with love.
Aspen chuckled. “How nice to see my friend’s happy faces. The two of you are looking very much in love with your beloved woman. I wish you, guys, happiness from the bottom of my heart!” he said.
“Thank you, Aspen,” Ramza and Zemeth replied in unison.
They resumed eating their favorite fruits.
A moment later, Aspen smiled broadly and glanced at Zemeth. “Bro, I think I know how to make Ivy fall in love with you faster,” he said, chuckling.
Zemeth looked at Aspen with expectant eyes. “It better be good, bro!” he said.
Aspen nods his head. “Don’t worry, my plan is worth trying…”
“Tell us… please!” Zemeth said.
Aspen cleared his throat. “First, allow Kate and Ella to enjoy their older sister’s company before you take her away. Then after a few months, I will give Ivy a medicine that can make her body weakened to the point of making her think that she caught a strange sickness. Don’t worry, the herbal medicine is not poisonous, it’s completely safe. Then you will suggest to the girls that you need to bring Ivy to the Nephilim Kingdom to find a healer that would cure her strange illness. You will bring her to a secluded place, that only the two of you inhabited. This plan will make Ivy dependent on you. If you served her day and night, she surely falls in love with you little by little after seeing how devoted, caring, and loving you are towards her.”
He paused for a moment. “What do you think of my plan?”
Both Zemeth and Ramza smiled.
“Sounds good to me. I will try it!” Zemeth said, feeling inspired.
Ramza grinned. “Excellent plan for me! Go… Go… Go!” he told Zemeth.
A few minutes later.
Kate appeared in the fruit garden. “Guys, lunch is ready!” she said.
The men left the fruit garden and ate lunch with the girls. Ivy was still asleep in the room.
After eating lunch, Ramza and Zemeth teleported back to the island, while Aspen remained in the mountain to accompany the girls.
~
Ramza and Zemeth appeared at the beach. They saw the men having fun swimming in the ocean while Grandpa Jegun sat contentedly under the shade of the tree, which was situated a few meters away from the seashore.
They lowered themselves behind grandpa.
Jegun smiled at the newcomers. “Look at the boys! They’re having fun under the sun!” he said, his eyes sparkling.
“Why you didn’t join them, Grandpa?” Zemeth asked.
“Later, I will join them. It’s nice to see the boys having fun and enjoying each other’s company,” Jegun said. “By the way, how is Ivy’s condition up there in the mountain?” he asked worriedly.
“She’s warming up to the girls. She’s sleeping when we left the mountain,” Zemeth answered.
Jegun looked at the men frolicking in the water. “Simuz, Ogeme, Bhork, and Dredo told me their plans to go home ‘coz they already missed their families. They also expressed their desire to visit me and Agran here from time to time. I told them that they’re always welcome to come back here anytime. My house is always open to accommodate them. I even offered them that if they want, they can live here because this island is a tad bigger for two people only. I finally realized that having many friends around me makes me feel alive and younger,” he grinned.
Ramza smiled and patted the old man’s shoulder. “Don’t worry Grandpa, even if Kate and I already have a family someday, we won’t fail to visit you every month. I want to introduce my children to their Grandpa Jegun and the beauty of this island,” he made an oath.
“Me too, Grandpa. I have the same plan with Ramza,” Zemeth said. “You will be surrounded with lots of grandchildren very soon,” he added.
Jegun smiled with tears in his eyes. These good men became his friends and family, even for a short time. He would feel sad if they start leaving the island one by one. He was already used to their presence.
“I have a suggestion!” Ramza said.
“What is it?” asked Zemeth.
“Let’s have a farewell party, here on the beach together with the girls and Aspen. We will roast meat, drink wine, and have a feast while the bonfire is burning in the center. Then we will have night swimming. What do you think of my suggestion, guys?” Ramza asked them.
Jegun and Zemeth smiled and gave Ramza a thumb up.
“Brilliant idea! Let’s do it the whole day tomorrow!” Jegun suggested.
“Okay, tomorrow then!” Zemeth spoke and ran towards the sea. “I’m going to take a dip!” he said.
Jegun and Ramza watched the boys for a few minutes. Then they rose to their feet and sprinted towards the ocean, joining the boys in their fun.
