The Tale Of Three Sisters - Chapter 197
The following day.
Bhork, Dredo, Ogeme, and Simuz bid goodbye to everyone.
“Bye-bye, Grandpa Jegun! Bye Agran! Bye guys! See you again soon!” the men said in unison.
“Boys, take care of yourself…and visit us here if you have free time,” Jegun said waving at the men while they walked towards the neon portal opening that will take them back to the Nephilim Kingdom.
The neon opening disappeared after a few seconds.
“They’re gone! I’m going to miss them!” Jegun said, feeling sentimental.
Zemeth patted Jegun’s shoulder. “You won’t be alone on this island grandpa. You still have Agran, Zemeth, and me. We will stay here with you because we still have unfinished business with the girls,” he said.
“Glad to know that, lad,” replied Jegun.
“Speaking of the girls, I’m going there now to see Ivy. I’ll be gone for a few days trying to find a healer in the Nephilim Kingdom. Hopefully, when I come back, I can bring a healer with me to cure Ivy and Ella,” Zemeth said.
“That’s good, lad. I hope you will find a good healer who can remedy both Ivy and Ella’s malady. How many days you will be gone?” asked Jegun.
“It all depends on how long or how fast I can find a powerful healer, because Ivy and Ella’s malady is not easy to cure,” Zemeth answered.
“Okay, take your time,” Jegun said.
“Can you please visit the girls in the mountain… now and then?” Zemeth requested.
“No problem, I will visit the girls every day if you want,” Jegun offered.
“Thank you, Grandpa! I feel relieved that the girls are taken care of while I’m away,” Zemeth said.
“Don’t worry, bro. Grandpa and I will visit the girls every day, you can count on it,” Agran said and winked at Zemeth.
Zemeth smiled. “Glad to hear that, Agran,” he said.
“Ah, speaking of the mountain, Agran and I will come with you to the mountain to visit the girls now,” Jegun said.
“I’ll come with you, guys,” Ramza interjected, wearing a bright smile on his face.
Ramza activated the portal and the neon opening showed up instantly, the men entered the opening and gone in seconds.
The portal reappeared in the mountain, outside Immortal Vearah’s house.
The men exited the portal and the neon opening disappeared.
They saw Ella sweeping dry leaves in front of the house.
Ella and Agran locked eyes for a few seconds.
“Hello, guys!” Ella greeted them.
“Where is Ivy?” asked Zemeth.
“She’s in the flower garden,” she answered.
“How about Kate? Where is she?” asked Ramza.
“She’s in the kitchen preparing dishes for lunch,” replied Ella.
Jegun scratches his head. “Where is Aspen?” he finally said.
“He’s in the backyard, catching some fish and chicken for lunch,” Ella responded.
Zemeth walked towards the direction of the flower garden to find Ivy.
While Ramza went to the kitchen to find Kate.
Jegun went to the backyard to find Aspen, while Agran stays with Ella, helping her sweeping the ground.
“My love just sits over there while I finish sweeping the dry leaves for you,” Agran offered.
Ella smiled and giggled. “Fine…you finish it!” She went to the wooden chair and sits down while watching her friend sweeping the ground.
A few minutes later, Agran finished sweeping the ground. He glanced at Ella. “Anything else?” he asked willing to do any chores for her.
Ella shook her head. “No more. By the way, you will stay for lunch, right?” she asked.
Agran nods his head. “Definitely!”
“Alright, let’s go to the fruit garden and pick some fruits,” she suggested.
“Okay, let’s go!” Agran replied.
Ella picked up the basket and go with Agran to the fruit garden.

Meanwhile, at the flower garden.
Zemeth saw Ivy watching the blooming flowers with sadness in her eyes. She looked at him, their eyes locked for a few seconds, then she tore her eyes away from him.
He knows well why she was behaving this way. He sighed, she must be thinking of her fake husband that they recently buried in the forest. He walked to her side and sat quietly on the wooden bench beside her. “Hello Ivy!” he greeted her.
“Hello Zemeth,” she replied blandly.
“Why do you look miserable?” he asked even though he already knows the answer.
“I miss my husband so much! I feel so alone in this world,” she said, fresh tears sprang in her eyes.
Zemeth breathed deeply. “Don’t be…Kate and Ella will always be by your side to cheer you up and I’m also here willing to take your sadness away,” he offered.
Ivy looked at him between sobs. “W-what do you mean?” she asked, confused.
Zemeth looked at her with deep affection in his eyes. “I like you the first time I saw you. I’m willing to marry you and give you a home. We will raise a family together, that way you don’t feel sad and lonely anymore,” he said with sincerity in his voice.
Ivy shook her head. “Y-you just feel pity towards me. You don’t like me at all. We just met each other. You can’t possibly like me that much,” she said.
Zemeth sigh. “I know it’s hard to believe, but I like you. I want to spend my whole life with you. I hope you take my feelings and good intention with much considerations from now on because everything that I told you today is the whole truth,” he said, urging her to believe him.
Ivy was silent for a moment.
Zemeth continue…
“Your husband is already dead, no matter how much you cry and think of him, he won’t be coming back to life. What I’m offering you now is my love and a home to grow old with me, please consider my offer,” he said no longer holding himself back from proposing to his beloved woman.
Ivy stared at him for a few minutes, digesting his words. She studied his physical feature. He doesn’t look bad, he is handsome and well mannered. She saw the sincerity in his eyes and feel the love and affection in his words. “I’m sorry, I won’t entertain any suitor right now. My husband just recently died, I hope you understand,” she said.
Zemeth smiled. “It’s okay, I understand your situation. I just want you to know that I’m willing to wait one year or even many years for you to accept my love and my marriage proposal,” he said.
Ivy smiled but remain noncommital.
“Won’t you mind if I stay here by your side? Don’t worry, I will stop talking so that I won’t disturb your solitude,” Zemeth said.
Ivy looked at him and smiled. “It’s okay…you can stay…as long as you like,” she replied.
The couple watched the blooming flower together in comfortable silence.

Ramza entered the kitchen and saw Kate chopping vegetables and herbs on the wooden chopping board with a knife. He went to her side and planted a kiss on her cheek. “My love, what are you cooking?”
A bright smile appeared on Kate’s lips. “Ah, just some vegetable soup, I’ll mix it with chicken meat,” she replied while putting the chopped vegetables in the platter.
“Do you need my help, my love?” he volunteered.
“Make a fire so that I can boil the rice,” she ordered him.
“Alright, anything else?” he asked.
“Just make the fire,” Kate said.
Ramza put some firewood in the makeshift wooden stove and started making the fire.

Meanwhile, in the backyard.
Aspen was having a good time catching the fish from the pond.
Jegun went to his side. “Having fun catching fish, eh?”
Aspen looked at Jegun and smiled. “Oh, Grandpa, it’s you! I’m going to catch fish for lunch. Kate will fry it,” he said.
“Need help?” offered Jegun.
“No need, I’m nearly done,” Aspen declined his offer.
“Okay, continue what you’re doing. I’ll just sit here and watch you,” Jegun said, as he lowered himself on the wooden chair located beside the pond.
Aspen took out the fish from the fishing net with a wood handle.
“Aspen, have you seen the butterfly around here?” Jegun asked.
“You mean the big butterfly that we saw in the lake that took Esmeralda’s coffin away?” Aspen spoke.
“Yeah, that one,” Jegun said.
“No. I haven’t seen it around here, not even in the flower garden,” Aspen replied. “Why did you asked, Grandpa?”
“Hmm…I’m just wondering where they took Esmeralda’s coffin?” Jegun said.
“Me too. I’m also wondering where they took the body? And why would they bring the body with them?” Aspen said, scratching his head in confusion.
“That’s the mystery that we will never be able to fully comprehend unless the butterfly will give us a hint and point to us the location where they hide the body,” Jegun said.
Aspen picked up the basin filled with fish. “Let’s go to the kitchen, Grandpa. From there, we shall continue discussing Esmeralda and the butterflies,” he suggested.
“Okay, after you, lad,” Jegun said and followed Aspen to the kitchen area.
Two hours later.
Kate and Ramza already cooked the dishes for lunch. Ramza called everyone to gather in the dining area so that they can start eating their meals.
The group eats together at the oblong shape table.
The main topic of their conversation is all about Esmeralda and the butterflies. They have different theory running in their minds regarding the event that took place in the lake after the coffins were retrieved from the cave.
“I think the butterflies already buried Esmeralda’s body somewhere in this mountain,” Jegun said.
“I think Granny Esmeralda’s coffin was taken in another dimension,” Kate expressed her opinion.
“What dimension?” asked Aspen.
“In the Land of the Butterflies,” Kate joked.
“What a wild imagination you had, dear!” Aspen smiled in amusement.
“I think the butterflies were trying to resurrect Esmeralda?” Zemeth took a wild guess.
“If Granny Esmeralda can’t be resurrected then the butterfly will return the coffin to us – so that we can give her a proper burial,” Ella continued where Zemeth left off.
“Hopefully so… because Granny Esmeralda deserves a proper burial,” Ramza added.
Ivy was the only one who didn’t understand a thing about the conversation going around her.
They resumed eating their meals in comfortable silence.
