The Tale Of Three Sisters - Chapter 201
Zemeth and his companions arrived at the healer’s place.
Ismat, the Bright Miracle Preserver, was already waiting at the wooden bench under the shade of the tree.
Zemeth brought Ella and Agran to him. “Grandpa Ismat…this is Ella and Agran, the one I mentioned yesterday,” he said.
Ismat looked at them. “Okay, leave them to me. I’ll ask for your later if I needed something from you,” he said.
“Okay,” Zemeth said and walked to the area where Jegun was sitting on the chair provided by the old woman.
Back at the healer.
Ismat stared at the handsome boy and the old girl in front of him. “Please introduce yourself to me…” he ordered.
“My name is Ella…”
“My name is Agran…”
Ismat nods his head. “Ella and Agran, closed your eyes, let me see what are the contents in your hearts,” he said.
Ella obeyed. In her mind, she was confused why the healer included Agran in the session when she was the one who needed her original image to be restored not him.
Agran on the other hand looked at Ella for the last time before closing his eyes. A knot starts to form in his belly. His heart was pounded with worries all of a sudden.
Ismat pressed his hands on Ella’s head, he closes his eyes, reading her heart and mind.
A few minutes later, Ismat opened his eyes, he was done with Ella.
He pressed his hands on Agran’s head and began reading the contents of his heart and mind.
Fifteen minutes later, he was done with Ella and Agran.
“Open your eyes lads!” he ordered.
Ella and Agran opened their eyes.
Ismat looked at Ella first. “Child, do you know how is the beast that bit you?” he asked her.
Ella shook her head. “No. I didn’t know that monster who bit me, Grandpa,” she answered.
Ismat looked at Agran. “The beast who bit you – turned into a handsome young man. You want to know who it is?”
“Yes, who is he?” Ella asked curiously.
“Look at the handsome young man beside you, he is the one who bit you,” Ismat said.
Ella gasped in shock and looked at Agran. Tears sprang in her eyes. “I-it’s you!?” she asked him with a quivering tone. “Why did you lie to me!?” she asked angrily. Her right hand moved and delivered a stinging slap on Agran’s face. “I hate you! I don’t want to see your face ever again!” she screamed into his face. She left the area and ran towards Zemeth and Jegun.
Agran never flinched, Ella’s slap is an act of tiny revenge compared to his huge sin to her. He looked at the healer. “Grandpa, tell me how to restore Ella’s look?” he asked.
“Lad, to restore Ella’s look, I will return the curse to you. She will regain her looks while you will get your old look back before you bit her. That is how it’s going to work. Do you agree?”
Agran nodded his head. “Please do it now, Grandpa! I love that girl, I don’t want her to hate me forever, I can’t stand it!” he requested.
“Are you sure?” Ismat asked again.
“Yes, I’m 100% sure about my decision!” Agran said.
Zemeth went to their location. He looked at the healer. “Grandpa, is there any other way?” he asked.
Ismat looked at Agran and Ella. “Actually, there’s another way…” he said.
“Please tell us, Grandpa!” asked Zemeth.
“If Ella and Agran will agree to get married and they will have a child, the moment the baby came out of Ella’s womb, the baby’s birth will end the curse. Which means, Ella’s look will be restored without the need for the reverse method,” Ismat explained.
“No harm to the baby?” Zemeth asked again for assurance.
“Yes, the baby will be born perfectly fine,” Ismat replied.
Agran released a deep sigh. “Ella will never agree to marry me ‘coz she already hates me,” he said sadly. “But I’m willing to reverse the curse so that she won’t hate me anymore,” he insisted.
Zemeth took a deep breath. “Agran, don’t be stupid! Think it over. Grandpa Ismat’s second suggestion is a much better choice. You just have to bear Ella’s fury for the time being and wait for the time that she can forgive you. Don’t give up too easily,” he advised him.
Agran loves the second suggestion because he had all intention to make Ella his wife. But what is the use? If the girl he loves can’t forgive him?
Zemeth looked at the healer. “Grandpa, can we give them enough time to decide what’s best for them?”
Ismat nodded his head. “No problem, they can return anytime here at my place so that I can perform the ritual. So that Ella can bear a baby one day that can end the curse,” he said.
Zemeth looked at Agran’s distraught’s face. He patted his shoulder. “Don’t worry, boy. This one will pass,” he said. “You remain here, I’ll talk to Ella first,” he said. He sauntered towards Jegun and the crying girl.
Jegun was trying to stop the hysterical Ella from crying. “Child, please stop crying,” he said.
“Grandpa, please take me away from here! Bring me back to the mountain! I begged you!” she demanded.
Zemeth reached their side. “Ella, I’m sorry…” he said.
“It’s not your fault, I just wanna go home, please?” Ella pleaded.
“Okay, but I want to tell you something… Agran really loves you. He’s willing to marry you. The healer said that if you two will get married, your first baby will destroy the curse and your youthful look will be restored the moment the baby came out of your womb. Please think about it,” he said.
Ella pouted. “I just want my original look to be restored! That’s all I’m asking!” she said between sobs.
Zemeth sighed. “The healer told me that he can reverse what happened, restore your look, and restore Agran’s horrifying beast look. You have seen how terrifying his look is in the cave. Now, I’m asking you, is it what you really wanted to happen? Agran is willing to do it so that you will be happy.”
Ella was silent for a moment. “I can’t decide yet. Please let me go home!” she begged.
Zemeth and Jegun looked at each other and released a deep sigh.
“Grandpa, please take Ella back to the mountain,” Zemeth said.
“Okay, I will. How about Agran?” Jegun asked.
“I’ll talk to him first before I will bring him back to the island,” Zemeth responded.
“We’re leaving now,” Jegun said. He activated the portal, the neon opening showed up in front of them. He looked at Ella. “Let’s go child!” he said.
Jegun and Ella entered the portal opening, a few seconds later, the neon opening disappeared from the area.
Zemeth went back to the healer and Agran. He sat beside the devastated boy.
Ismat rose to his feet. “I’ll go inside my house to rest. You two have a heart to heart talk,” he said.
“Thank you, Grandpa!” Zemeth said.
Ismat walked towards the house and disappeared inside.
Zemeth noticed Agran’s heartbroken look. “Boy, reversing the curse is not the ultimate solution. The second option is a better choice for you and Ella,” he said.
“B-but…Ella hates me already!” Agran blurted out.
“Yes, she will hate you for now. For weeks or even months and years. But as long as you keep wooing her, there is a big possibility that her iron heart will get melted one day. Just don’t give up! Allow her to think things over, give her some free space to breathe. As of now, she is mad at you, but who knows…after a week or two…she will realize that turning you into a beast is not really what she wanted in the first place. She’s confused, hurt, and feel betrayed by the person close to her. Give enough time for her pain to heal,” Zemeth urged him.
Agran fell silent, staring blankly at the mountain ahead.
Zemeth did the same.
A few minutes later.
“Where did Grandpa Jegun and Ella went to?” Agran asked.
“Grandpa brings Ella back to the mountain,” answered Zemeth. “I told Ella that the healer offered the first option, to reverse the curse and restore her good looks but you will also be the one to suffer in the end because you will regain your hideous look again,” he declared.
“So…what did she say?” Agran asked eager to know her decision.
“She told me that she can’t decide yet. See-? If she really hates you, she will decide for the reversal of the curse to happen right away. But she didn’t… which means, she was having second thoughts about doing it. That goes to show that Ella still has feelings of tenderness left towards you. The well hasn’t fully dried up yet, there’s still hope for you and Ella. Chin up, lad! You still have hope left…don’t lose it!” Zemeth said.
Agran smiled a little feeling hopeful. “Thank you for cheering me up, big bro!” he said, feeling grateful for his help.
“Don’t mention it, I’ll help you and Ella in any way I can, you are just like my brother and sister to me,” Zemeth said. “Are you feeling much better now?”
“Yes! I’m feeling better, thanks to you. I’m ready to go home now,” Agran replied.
“Okay, let’s go back to the island,” Zemeth said. He activated his magic portal and the neon opening showed up in front of them. “Let’s go!” he said.
The men entered the portal and disappeared from the area.
A few seconds later, the portal appeared on the island.
Jegun was already waiting outside the door of the house.
Zemeth nods at him. “Grandpa, he’s yours. I’m going back to the healer’s place to continue my journey,” he spoke.
“Thanks for all the help, lad,” Jegun said.
Zemeth smiled. “Don’t mention it, I’ll go now,” he said and activated the teleportation in his mind. He vanished from the island in seconds.
Jegun sighed and wrapped his arms around Agran affectionately. They entered the house to talk about what exactly happened a while ago in front of the healer.
