The Third Party - Chapter 67

3rd Person’s POV (12 yrs. and 8 months old)

Let’s just say that Ken’s friends demanded compensation the same day, as they made him do different things for them, nothing he can handle, easy pizzy, but yeah, the tasks were arduous since they made him do it on the exact same day they requested.

Yes, all ten of them requested compensation from Ken. The rest of the day flowed smoothly, with a little bit of a hectic schedule for Ken, while the others satisfidely done their classes for the day… is that even a word.

Anyway, that was what they felt at that time, days passed and the group continued on with their lives while patiently waiting for a reply from the Dragon Kingdom’s King if they would be allowed entrance to the kingdom to study and learn from them.

As a letter had been sent from Princess Lang’s assistant to the King’s secretary.

But first, the eleven of them went and asked permission from their parents and or guardians, fortunately, none of them encountered any obstacle in the way of getting their permissions as their parents agreed to their plan,

They were skeptical at first, and when they found out their reasons they were beyond shocked whether they should allow their children to go to the Dragon Kingdom, but with more of Ken’s persuasion, all of them gave up.

He just needs to convince Princess Lang’s father for the matter, for now, they’ll just use their free time in any way they want, and their classes to continue improving, courtesy of Ken’s insistence and stubborn pleas.

Housing and lodgings for Ken, Wilbert, and Celine’s family -and Tribe- were taken care of by the people from the village for they were still unable to return to their own places, as such they also helped in making makeshift houses.

Blame Ken for it, his overactive system kicked in when he learned of the houses that were to be constructed for them, he has his own preferences when it comes to his own bed in his own house, albeit not being picky when he’s out in the wild sleeping.

Really, a mystery to the bunch of his friends and adults as they watched Ken construct their house on his own. Agaped, if we’d like to add as construction materials flew around in the air and quietly assembled themselves into a house in front of Ken -it’s just a wooden house though-.

Which was just outside the village entrance by the way, the others were constructed relatively near Ken’s house, but since it was just his and Wilbert’s family that needed an actual house with necessary living quarters, theirs are the ones that could be seen visible outside the gate.

Celine’s tribe just made makeshift houses on the large trees at the back of the village.

Houses aside, the ten leaders of the other magical beast kin have slowly incorporated themselves back into the system of the magical beasts who live at the village, twelve years have passed, surely there where things that had changed since their absence.

Alas, the only thing that changed around their area, was that unruly and most of the time energetic human that can go hand to hand with their level of strength.

Scary, but optimal, since their world is filled with dangers everywhere, it’s good to know that someone so young as that human, has such strength to stand up for himself.

Oh, wait, their valley had always been protected by that large barrier, no one could go in or out from the mountain ranges, except for them magical beasts, and animal beasts, the only entrance for any other species who wish to come over is at the beach south of the mountain range.

And the only dangers that could lurk around in their place are feral beasts and or monsters that occasionally pass through the barriers due to their identity as beasts, save for the demons that pass through their valley because of the immense magical powers of the world concentrated here.

Maybe that’s the reason why this human is so strong, because he found a way to strengthen himself through the world power before them, does Klein know this? They thought, for they know that their strength came with time and hard work in training.

The former was a natural phenomenon for the beasts for the longer they live, the stronger their magical power become, as for the latter, were honed skills through combat, so how was it that this human seems to be of equal power to them?

Not long would their question be answered as Ken plans to explain himself, as he felt scrutinizing gazes aimed at him for some time now, it may have been sneaky glances, but he noticed them anyway and found the ten leaders were the ones behind it.

Nevertheless, he chose to be understanding as he knows that people who seem to be stronger than you but looks to be younger are people who will be draped with suspicion.

He’ll have to slowly and politely convey the news to the leaders about his sudden jump in strength, and to his friends as well, as he’s still suppressing his newfound power from within in order to not get caught by his friends,

We could say otherwise for the adults as they had already noticed.

As to how Ken will break the news to them, well, he’ll have to work slowly and introduce the idea to them, maybe he’ll get a chance one of these days.

Days passed and a week was consumed just doing some regular things as a normal student -in their valley at least-, and this time, Ken finally got the chance he has been waiting for, to visit the different houses of the ten other prominent leaders of the magical beasts.

Wonder what their caves would look like.

Ken’s POV (12 yrs. and 8 months and 1 week old)

Yey! Finally, after waiting for seven days, I now get to officially visit the other houses with my friends, although it will be just the other ten, it’s more than enough to know that we can explore it now hehe.

‘White, you haven’t spoiled me of the things present there have you?’ I asked, as I happily walk down the path towards the town hall slowly, because I want to talk with him about this matter first before I start zooming forward.

‘Even if I’d spoil you, you wouldn’t even be able to remember it anyway.’ -White-

‘Why not?’ I’m incredibly confused, does it show on my face though? Hmm… maybe not, since I’ve perfected the skill of acting, hahahahahahahaha.

‘What the… Can’t you reserve that stupid mood change for later? I’m just the one you’re talking to, and to answer your question, is that you have a certain filter to things you want to hear and you don’t want to hear.’ -White-

I do?

‘Yes’ -White-

‘Show me.’ I reply, to which I know my eyes are sparkling, well, getting to know something about yourself is not something we get to come by.

‘Ugh, we’ll have this conversation on another time, for now, you have things to attend to.’ -White-

Awww, I’m in front of the hall now already? That’s too bad… Well, let’s just explore those new caves, whose barrier I destroyed, haha.

‘Really? Are you deliberately bragging?’ -White-

Hehe, no no, I’ll stop now, peace.

“Ken!” I look around and came face to face with my childhood friends approaching me.

“Good morning to you two!” I reply cheerfully, the two of them walking to my side, ooh, they’re wearing normal clothing, did I overdid myself by wearing a shirt and shorts?

‘You just look exactly like them.’ -White-

‘But theirs looks so plane with just a white shirt and brown shorts, and… they look like they’re wearing the same ones?’ I reply, now noticing what they are wearing.

The outfit, even though looking quite plain and simple, hugged their bodies well, I mean, it didn’t literally hug their bodies as we’re still all but skinny but our painstaking hard-work in improving our physique is slightly showing,

It’s just that they look good in that plain outfit, Wilbert’s boyish features surely sprang out from the look, if we could cut his long hair that reaches just between his neck, I’m sure his charms would overflow.

As for Celine, hmmm… yeah, we don’t really need that much to change on her, her physique could be comparable to mine, and her black hair’s just as long as mine, but she’s extremely cute.

I think I’ll just have to reserve the terms beautiful and handsome in the future, oh how they would transform from childish features to mature and extremely breath-taking ones, I just can’t wait!!!

“Ken, what are you thinking?” eh?! I slightly jump from the fright.

“Oh, uh, hehe.. . just how beautiful and handsome you guys are even in that outfit.” Oh gosh that was so embarrassing, getting lost in thought, and Celine just had to be the one who asked the question.

“You really think so? Thanks!” replied Celine, as she gave me that smile, I smile back.

“You’re welcome.” I look at Wilbert, and… find him blushing.

“Awww, is someone embarrassed.” Haha, his blush turned brighter.

“No, am not!” he retorted.

“Haha, suit yourself!” I tease, causing him to chase me down.

“KYAAAAA.” I scream, as I barely jumped away from his attempt to capture me.

“Get BACK HERE!” he shouted, although the voice was laced with anger, nevertheless, the playfulness could still be heard.

The two of us ran around in circles all around the place while Celine was laughing at the side, slowly getting accompanied by our other companions, and… there’s that block of ice.

“Allen!” I shouted, not noticing that I stopped.

“OOF!” Oh, geez, that hurt, he just had to land on top of my back now did he.

“HAHA! Got you!” I chuckle at his childishness.

“Alright, alright, now get off of me you big person.” I said while patting the ground, indicating that I surrender, he helped me up and I look down on my outfit, awww, my white shirt is soiled now, let me fix that.

With a slight cleansing spell, the dirt on my shirt and sweat on my body disappeared without a trace, as well as Wilbert’s, can’t forget him now can we, after all the two of us had just chased one another.

“Why’d you call me for?” said Allen as he approached me, still with that cool temperament. Awww, his long black raven hair flowing on a ponytail behind his back looks so ethereal.

With all the right angles of the sun hitting him, not to mention that cold handsome face, he looks to be asian, okay Ken, not the time to be doing this now, back to the conversation.

“Where are our masters, aren’t we not gonna explore the other ten caves?” I say, I’m also sure that my eyes are sparkling, I don’t know why or how, I just know it!

“They’ll be here, in the meantime, behave yourself.” he replied.

“Right!” I said, and did a salute, with chin up, breast out and stomach in, like those of soldiers, the others just chuckled, nya.

“What are you doing?”asked Allen.

“Hm? Doing a cat pose, it’s cute isn’t it?” I reply and show him cat poses, acting all cute and all, hope it’s working.

The others just continued to chuckle at our expenses. Allen just rolled his eyes and went to the others, me and Wilbert follow suit, there’s no need to be alarmed at Allen’s behavior, it’ just the way he is, but he means no harm.

“Greetings everyone! Good, you’re all here, come, let’s go and visit the other ten caves.” Said Master Lana, emerging from the town hall, followed by Master Ulysses, and Master Klein.

Hmm? I didn’t notice the rest arriving… meh, not that it mattered much, oooh I’m so excited for the tour!!!!!!!!

We all nodded and followed behind the three masters, to a protruding tunnel from the ground at the back of the hall.

-One hour later-

WOW! Although most of the things you could see in a cave were similar to Master Klein’s cave, big and spacious with enough flowers here and there, but had a river, except for Masters Rena, Abel, Oldin, Kara, Mira, and Dawn.

Yup, we call them masters now since we’ll now also be receiving lessons from them, Master’s Ras, Kilean, Nazir and Harth, had similar outlines of their caves.

Master Ras has more rocks and trees as their main feature, Master Kilean has more grass lands ranging from brown to green, Master Nazir has similar features with Master Kilean although more greener, and Master Harth has more trees and greenery, although a little bit dark.

The ones that really blew me away were from the Masters I mentioned earlier, Master Rena and Abel showed us a pool like cave, and with their magic we were given the chance to breath underwater and get to see an underwater world, filled with beautiful aquatic species.

Master Oldin has similar features as Masters Abel and Rena, but more on rivers and falls, Master Kara also has similar features to the twin Masters, but she lives on an island at the bottom of her pool like cave.

That she can raise above water, handy right?

Master Mira, showed us a cave filled with dozens of tunnels made by her people, and it was just so satisfying scouring everywhere and finding out which tunnel leads to, and confusing my friends in a prank I did, hehe.

Master Dawn showed us a giant Bee hive inside her cave, but her place has platforms, I’ll get into detail some other time when we visit her cave for our lessons, yup, instead of going to the field for everything related to our studies.

We instead visit our additional ten masters for their special courses, although this may be a bit taxing to do, but who cares, I’m excited, I know that my friends are too. Oh and before I forget, I had officially explained to the other ten masters my conditions of being strong.

Surprisingly, they all went and accepted my explanation, is it because I taught them how to do it too? Hmm… That would be a plausible reason. Nah, let’s just finish this day so that we can go home and rest, tomorrow would be a big day.

“Excuse me Ken, I would like to speak with you.” I turned around to the person who called and found Master Harth, everyone turned to our direction as they stopped, I gave them a smile to reassure them that everything’s okay.

Maybe they got agitated from the way Master Harth spoke, but no matter, guess the big day can wait a little longer, man wish I could have some snacks, I’m starving.
