I wake up to my alarm, an hour or so before the store open, should be enough for me to prepare and make my way over there!

just as I finish dressing up and cleaning myself I hear an unfamiliar voice “Ehum, Sorry for intruding”

Startled as I am I almost stumbled backwards, just who is this!?

“W-who are you!?”

Admin 04? one of the actual admins?? then why would he visit me?

“I’m here to inform you a bit, and hand you this” he said as he handed me an all too familiar book that has my name on it

The rule book! as well as information and soul book! and since it has my name on it, it’s mine!!

“Yes, as you’ve guessed by now, this is your soul book, I’m here to hand it to you as part of the ‘headstart’, just knowledge isn’t a headstart after all, you should know this, you’ve used it for the last few years, consider this a huge easteregg in the game” he said as he smiled while dropping the book in my hands

wow! what service! and… now that I think about it, what he said is true, just knowing truly isn’t a headstart in this game because I’ll have a hard time getting my hands on a lot of things even if I knew it’s there, like reaching for stars, you simply can’t even though you know they are there!

“Excellent idiom, but this is not all the advantage, because getting the book is just step one of your headstart” he said while smiling at me,

w-wait, did he just read my mind!? so he has one of those rumoured S class skills?

Skills, in the game they are of course ranked from A-F and then there’s S as well as legendary SSS, though, as far as I know, no one’s ever gotten one of the legendary skills

Skills are ranked according to the game, apparently the appraiser in the shop rates a skill based on usability and rarity as well as opinions from the common population during these games, because apparently this isn’t their first time making a planet? world? play this game.

From what we knew in almost 30 years, S rank skills would include ‘super human strength’, ‘flying’ and ‘high-grade telekinesis’, I can’t even imagine what kind of sick things count as Legendary SSS rank skills!

“Yes, I may have read your mind, that’s just habit from work, don’t take offense, either way, I’m going to explain your headstart and the important rule that comes with it!”

“wait, rules? it’s something that incredible?” I said, shock written all over my face.

“I guess you could say that” he answered before continuing

“the headstart you’ll be provided is a skill, it’s a SSS ranked skill that is one of the most looked for, and it’s at the same time, very very simple, it’s called ‘Ultimate skill forger’, you can read about it in the soul book when I’m done explaining the rule you need to follow, it’s pretty simple, ‘You may not speak or in any way explain to another living soul about this skill nor the headstart skill, if you do, you and that other soul will both be deleted from existence on the spot, along with any other person who heard and all records of it if taken, such as cameras, microphones or other recordings’, simple, right!”

I-I think I just heard something quite amazing, yet terrifying, wait, doesn’t this mean that if anyone accidentally just sees my soul book from the side when it’s open, we’ll both just perish then and there!?

“yes, that is correct, protect your book well! that is all, do entertain us!” he concluded with before vanishing as if he was never there.

“ookay, I suppose I’ll take a look at said skill then” I said to myself before opening my book and looking through my skills, “tsk” I clicked my tongue when I noticed that all my hard work from the last 30 years was gone, but thinking about it, it wasn’t such a big loss, if only this skill was as incredible as it’s rank that is.

From the day when the world became a game, everyone is greeted with the nice introduction and then the basic information, which is:

the incredible fact is that even base ‘skills’ such as ‘basic vision’ and ‘walking’ and ‘standing’ even is base skills, that can be traded or sold, and when sold in the shop you can get ‘credits’ that are stored in the timestamp card in the back of the book (or other removable objects belonging to soul book, such as keystrap if you made it into a phone and similar), although credits is only used when trying to combine skills more than buying new skills, because buying skills is deemed ‘unprofitable’ until a few years later, since buying a skill isn’t something you choose, you buy a mystery box with a random base skill in it, and then you combine from there, this is why people preferred to trade with each other instead, but eventually no one wants to trade their ‘skill’ to ‘walk’ because they like to use their legs and similar, it’s only natural that eventually it all comes back to the mystery box.

With the ‘USF’ skill I’ll know what I’m making or if I’m making something ahead of my attempts! and mostly save my skills during fails! now this is what I call a headstart!!
