The Time When Games And Reality Mixed The Story About Skills - Chapter 3 The First Obstacle?

I thought it over a few times, and realized that the first issue is the fact that no one is allowed to know, to keep the secret I first thought about trading away my skill to ‘talk’, but in the end I decided not to, it’d be too much of a burden to me…

The first solution has been solved, the soul book can transform once into an object of desire, as long as it can show information, I picked a phone, mostly because I’m familiar with it from my last time playing this game, and also because it’s easy to scroll information on as well as turning off quickly to hide what’s on it.

There is one problem with it though, for the sake of the game being fair, you can’t put a lock of any kind on your soul book, of course, unless you have the ‘lock’ skill, although the lock skill can be dominated by corresponding ‘lockpick’ skill, they are both fairly rare and thus not likely in the short run.

I’ll just keep low profile for now, and see if I can locate some familiar faces to help me, as this game is very hard to play by yourself.

in the past, I managed by myself just fine, got a few friends and lost a few friends, like anyone else, but compared to big groups and various large companies making guilds, the smaller groups and independent people got shoved aside quickly, with no room to compete! Of course there were a few exceptions, a man was competing against one of the group, and during this feud of theirs, the man accidentally discovered a skill recipe and got the ‘Advanced self-healing’ skill, which effect is obvious to hear from the name, he managed to break through the entire outer defense and then at the inner defenses, he got stopped… he made himself a name though, and later became a healer for a large company with the help of other skills.

and he got those skills by using the shop, the shop by the way, doesn’t sell specific skills to pick from, you roll skills and pray for your luck, and having a skill of a set while rolling for a new skill increases chances of the skill matching your tree by a tiny margin, thus, his B grade healing skill paved the way for his healing career! If only I knew said recipe, the future will have many bloody battles, self-preservation is a priority…

I pondered for a while longer, and eventually stood up and started walking towards the story

“Bah, I can manage, I need to get something to start with first, and I also need to trade in a few skills for credits to afford mystery boxes” I muttered to myself before going out.

as I arrived at the story, I already saw crowds surrounding it, trying to make their way inside.

it was a simple house, matching the street it stood on perfectly, as if it’d always been there, “mysterious as ever” I thought while I recalled the last time they appeared, last time I was on my bike round, I’m a delivery boy, for now, I deliver mail by bike, and just happened to spot the lightbeam nearby and took a detour, at first it was just an empty plot, then I saw the house appear from thin air, from the bottom up, and then it stood there…

I remember falling of my bike in shock back then,

‘hahahah’ I laughed inwardly at my past self.

As I entered the story, I was greeted by a huge hall, definitely larger than the outside by at least twofold! and that’s not counting any of the many rooms!

“this time I’ll skip the information disk…” I thought as I walked towards the trade and sell disk, as I approached I took the keyring off my soul book, that was now a phone, and started

“Hello, I’d like to sell some skills!”

the lady behind the disk looked strangely at me before she responded

“A-Already? Aren’t you going to check the information disk first? Are you absolutely sure you know the consequences of selling or trading skills?” she said while still looking at me strangely

“I’m absolutely certain” I said with confidence, I had already picked a few skills to sell on my way here.

the skills you get when the game starts is different from person to person, everything that you knew and could do when the game started is now skills, as a bike delivery boy, I obviously knew how to ride a bike, thus I had ‘biking’ skill, and not only did I know how to ride it, I had it at 3rd grade! so ‘Advanced Biking’ although it sounds a bit more impressive than just biking, the grades for biking has very small differences, it’s not like the qualitive changes of ‘Human Strength’ and ‘Human Super Strength’ etc, but still enough for the price to slightly go up! I’ll start with selling the knowledge of how to ride a bike, but I need to earn solid income in credits… I’ll take some missions for now, but credits is really a limitation as an independent person.
