The Two Hundred and Eighty Pound Fat Girl and Her Five Husbands - Chapter 352
“What’s wrong, my sweet child?”
Lin’s Mother hurriedly stepped forward, embracing Lin Zaozao, her face filled with worry.
“Mom, I can’t find Luo Luo. I lost him. His body turned into luminescence in my arms. I can’t find him anymore.
Oh, oh, oh… Dad, Mom, I can’t find him. Luo Luo died because of me.
If it weren’t for me, he wouldn’t have had to die. Oh, oh, oh… Mom, Luo Luo did so much for me.”
Embracing Lin’s Mother, Lin Zaozao sobbed, gasping for breath.
“Mom…”
“Sweetie, Mom is here.”
Lin’s Mother gently patted Lin Zaozao’s back. She exchanged a glance with Lin’s Father, their eyes filled with worry.
“Sweetie, stop crying. Rest a bit, okay?”
Lin’s Mother gently patted Lin Zaozao’s back, then scooped her up in a princess carry, heading straight for her room.
“I want to sleep in Luo Luo’s room.”
Pulling at her nose, Lin Zaozao sobbed out her request.
“Alright, then you can sleep in Luo Luo’s room.”
Lin’s Mother turned around, carrying Lin Zaozao towards Lin Luoluo’s room. After placing Lin Zaozao on Lin Luoluo’s bed, Lin’s Mother lay down next to her, pulling her into her arms, whispering gently.
“Sweetie, Mom is with you. Have a good sleep.”
“Where’s Dad?”
“Dad’s right here.”
Lin’s Father lay on the other side of Lin Zaozao, across the quilt, patting her blanket as he used to do when she was little.
“Baby, don’t cry anymore, you sleep first. When you wake up, Dad will have everything sorted out for you.”
As Lin’s Father gently patted Lin Zaozao’s blanket, his other hand aimlessly waved in front of her.Aall 𝒏𝒆west ch𝒂pt𝒆rs on n.o./v𝒆l𝒃i/n/(.)c𝒐m
Seeing her Dad’s waving fingers, Lin Zaozao was about to say “Not again!”
The next moment, she fell into a deep sleep.
“Lin Shuo, my baby girl is so heartbroken, how could you still hypnotize her!”
Lin’s Mother swatted away Lin’s Father’s fingers, whispering angrily.
“I just want her to rest earlier. Did you see how much she’s been crying?”
“Rest? Who needs hypnosis to rest!”
Lin’s Mother gritted her teeth in retort.
“Alright, dear. Let’s step outside so we don’t disturb our baby.”
Lin’s Father lifted himself from the bed, carrying Lin’s Mother out of the room. As they settled down on the couch, Lin’s Father looked at the still fuming Lin’s Mother and cautiously asked.
“Dear, should we tell our baby about Luo Luo’s final words?”
“No, what’s there to tell? Letting our sweet child know about Luo Luo’s last words and then have her leave us?”
Lin’s Mother rolled her eyes at Lin’s Father in annoyance.
“You’re right, our baby just came back, we shouldn’t burden her with Luo Luo’s last words.
I only have this one precious daughter, I can’t bear her leaving!”
Lin’s Father quickly agreed.
Exhausted, Lin Zaozao only woke up three days later in the afternoon. As she opened her eyes to a room full of white, she thought she was back in that chilly ritual hall.
When she struggled to sit up from the bed, she realized that she was in a hospital. She took in the pale surroundings and smelled the scent of disinfectant.
At this moment, Lin Zaozao belatedly remembered that she had used her identity as a time-space manager and once again brought herself to her world.
But wasn’t she sleeping in Luo Luo’s room? How did she end up here?
Just as Lin Zaozao was looking around the empty room, the door to the ward was opened.
Following the sound, Lin Zaozao saw her mother, wearing a floral shirt, a leather miniskirt, stepping on high-heeled shoes and with flaming red lipstick.
“What, you were a cute princess yesterday, and today you’ve become a mature lady?”
Lin Zaozao leaned on the bed, joked about Ms. Lin Shufen’s outfit which was incredibly stylish.
“Oh my! My dear child, you’re awake.”
Lin’s Mother, who was inserting a bouquet into the vase, saw Lin Zaozao leaning against the head of the bed, she immediately dropped the flowers and pounced on Lin Zaozao.
“Hey, hey, hey! Ms. Lin Shufen, stay away from me, you’ve smudged lipstick all over my face.”
Lin Zaozao pushed her mother away, her mouth full of complaints, but her eyes were filled with happiness.
“My sweetheart, you’ve been asleep for three days. Your Dad and I couldn’t wake you up, so we had to bring you to the hospital.
For fear that there might be some hidden ailments in you, I asked the doctor to give you a full-body examination.
But the result was, not only were you okay, but you’re as strong as a bull.”
“Mom, am I really your biological daughter? Who calls their own daughter a bull?”
“Why can’t I say that?”
Lin’s Mother pulled the blanket off Lin Zaozao, took her hand and led her out of the bed.
“My dear, since you’re fine now, mom will take you out to have fun. You must have been bored living in the ancient times for so long.”
Fenfen Mama took out a set of clothes from the cabinet, threw it in front of Lin Zaozao, and signaled her to open it.
Lin Zaozao opened the bag in her hand with curiosity, and when she saw the green dinosaur children’s clothing in the bag, the light of expectation in her eyes disappeared instantly.
“Ms. Fenfen, what is this? Why are you dressed so stylishly, so cool, but you prepared a dinosaur suit for me!
Even if it’s a kid’s outfit, it has a tail. Even if it has a tail, the color is so green!
Mom, how much do you really want someone to put a green hat on me?”
Lin Zaozao held the green dinosaur suit in her hand, her face full of disgust.
“You’re supposed to wear it, so put it on now, you’re so annoying with your endless chatter!”
Feeling a familiar slap on her head, Lin Zaozao originally wanted to persist once more, to declare her firm stance of not wanting to wear it.
But when she saw her mom with her hands on her hips, under her threatening gaze, she could only reluctantly take the dinosaur suit and head towards the bathroom.
“Why are you going to the bathroom? Are you afraid your mom will see?”
“I need to pee, is that not allowed?!”
After retorting her mom, Lin Zaozao quickly slipped into the bathroom before her mom could react and firmly closed the door.
Can’t she delay closing that door? If she were a second late, mom’s slap would be landing on her head.
After cleaning up, Lin Zaozao stared at her reflection in the mirror, dressed in children’s clothes, looking as green as a meadow.
Damn it, she wished she could just ascend to heaven on the spot. Death seems like a preferable option now.
