The Typhoon’s Dangerous Wife - Chapter 350
Ming Ze paused for a moment before saying, “Everyone believes that she was the only one who saved him that day. But I believe there was someone else too. Someone who helped them from behind the scenes. Because if there wasn’t… Jin family and their allies wouldn’t have perished in a single night especially when Lord Ryuu was powerless.”
“Cause of death?” Long Jie asked.
“Elders died from weird diseases… The younger generation was burned in the fire. And the kids… they went missing. Not a single person was spared except…except her.”
The Jin family was the envy of the upper class for so many years. Where the Tang family was reclusive, Jin was associated with the elite class. They enjoyed showing off their power and mysterious background. But when they disappeared suddenly five years ago, nobody noticed as the families associated with Tangs had a tendency to stay mysterious.
But only a few knew that the family had disappeared from the face of the earth forever.
“Who?”Long Jie asked him. Even he wanna know which person survived the disaster or if that person was posing a threat to them.
“Tang Yuzhang’s daughter, “Ming Ze whispered while closing his eyes.
“Ada?” Zhenyi whispered back. “She is a Jin?”
Yeah, Ada was Tang Yuzhang’s daughter and she carried Jin as her surname, not Tang. When she had known that she was Tang Yuzhang’s daughter from her father, she had stopped investigating her. Apparently, both father and daughter were rivals and Ada would rather die than use a penny given by her father. That was the reason she was working for Zhenyi.
“Her mother, Jin Xi, tried to trap Tang Yuzhang into marriage by getting pregnant with his child,” Ming Ze informed them.”But he refused… he declared that she was free to abort the child or keep it. But he would never marry her.” As he was reminded of that time, he let out a chuckle. That was not the only plan Jins had made to trap Tang Yuzhang but he always escaped them unscathed. “He said that he would pay for the child’s expenses if she gives birth but won’t be a father figure to her child. It wasn’t because he was a scumbag but because he knew that Jin family was trapping him. They would probably force him to go against Lady Tang and it was completely true. He was a very smart man and he always defeated their silly schemes.”
Tang Yuzhang kept himself from his only child because he didn’t want Jin Xi or her family to use his child as a pawn to destroy the family that gave life to him. He knew if he showed his love or care for his child, Jin family would use it to control him by using his daughter which in turn would only torment his daughter.
It wasn’t easy for a father to stay away from his only child but he did in the end because he could see the bigger picture.
“You are saying that someone killed the whole Jin family in a single night after Ryuu was assassinated?” Zhenyi asked him with wide eyes.
Ming Ze nodded.
Zhenyi stood up and took out her phone to call. “At my location in five minutes.”
Bang.
Long Jie put a hand on her shoulder while asking, “Is he dead?”
“Nah, he knows so much but won’t say anything useful,” Zhenyi informed him. “He is just tangling us with the Tang family’s secrets. Because the fucker knows that we will investigate and reach the truth. And he or the mastermind behind all this probably had eyes on us. They want us to solve these mysteries for them. As long as these mysteries are unsolved, they would never touch us without thinking twice.”
Xin Zhenyi was a shrewd and extremely smart woman. She would never enter the tiger’s lair without any protection.
“Hmmm, I also think the same. Let’s take him with us to China,” Long Jie replied. “Yuan would love to try his experiments on a real human doll.”
“Mhmm,” Zhenyi rubbed her head against his arm and hopefully said,” How about you carry me to our yacht? I am so tired.”
“So acting spoiled.” He pinched her chin.
“Husband, I worked hard. Have mercy on me.” Now she was actually behaving spoiled.
With a sigh, he picked her in his arms. “I have really spoiled you so much.”
Zhenyi beamed at him. “You know I love you?”
“Oh, you do?” Long Jie raised his brow.” How about you tell me?”
“Later, love.” Zhenyi kissed his neck. “Now, let me sleep in your arms.”
…
Later in the evening, when Zhenyi was napping, Long Jie quietly picked his phone from the nightstand and left the room to call a certain person.
“Brother Jie?” He heard Xiuying’s soft voice.
“How are you, Yingying?”Long Jie awkwardly asked her. He was not the one to make small talks. But the person on the other side of the phone was his cousin. Still, he wasn’t as close to her as he had gotten to Alcina in a short period. Perhaps, it was because he and Alcina were similar in many aspects and Xiuying had never taken the initiative to come closer to him.
“I’m doing good,” she replied in a small voice. “Did you find him?”
Her voice was so full of hope that Long Jie didn’t have the heart to break the news he had received from his men in Austria to her.
“I did,” he still told her. “Xiuying, before anything I want you to know that you should not be so hopeful… his condition… it doesn’t look so optimistic…”
“He is alive, right?” Long Jie could feel her teary eyes.
“Yeah, he will survive. But he may never be able to walk again… even if he did…it will probably take him years…and Yingying that man may never be the same who he used to be….Are you sure that you are ready for it?”
