The Typhoon’s Dangerous Wife - Chapter 362
A week after Long Jie’s sudden and suspicious disappearance, Zhenyi got a call from her father asking her to visit his residence. Without thinking what might be the reason for his abrupt call, Zhenyi promised him to visit. After all, he sounded a little desperate to see her.
It was on the way to Xin mansion when Zhenyi received a message causing her to press brake in the middle of the road.
For a second she was frozen as she didn’t know how to behave.
*knock knock*
Zhenyi turned to find her bodyguard knocking on her car window. She looked at him and raised her brow asking what the matter was.
“Ma’am, are you fine?” The question of concern from a man devoid of any expression sounded weird to passerby’s ears but not to zhenyi who was used to it.
Zhenyi nodded and gestured them to drive behind.
Instead of replying to the message, she dialled the number of the damn messenger and let the call on hand-free mode.
Zhenyi thanked heaven millions of times in her heart as the call connected.
“You damn man! Why are you still alive?!”
Thankfully, she was inside the car or people would have surely looked at her as she had lost her senses for shouting at the phone like that.
A smile tugged on Long Jie’s lips as he heard her angry shout yet he could hear the worry and concern in her voice from a thousand miles away. Why was his care eyes so cute? She made his heart go crazy!
His phone was on speaker and so it was natural that the man around him heard her too.
He signalled them to leave and in a moment everyone disappeared. Did he care that his men heard his wife shouting at him? No, why would he? Instead, he was happier that his men knew who the real boss was. His Cat eyes were the ultimate boss.
Holding his phone in the air, he said with a sigh, “I missed you, Cat eyes.”
Zhenyi’s heart skipped a beat as she heard his raspy voice saying that he missed her too just like she did every moment.
[Ah. Her heart misses being close to his heart.]
But she wouldn’t be Zhenyi if she made things easy for him.
“Oh, did you by any chance called someone else, Sir?”
Only Long Jie knew how cute she would be looking while feigning ignorance when all she wanted was to hug the hell out of him.
[Ah, why aren’t there virtual hugs?! He longs to touch her. ]
“I called no one,” Long Jie said, his lips twitched thinking how his wife was lying straightly that it was him who called not her.
Ah, she didn’t know how difficult it was for him to find a network on the top of the mountain.
He knew that she would have called him countless times but the place where he had been for the last few days didn’t have good network quality. Hell, he was in the middle of the forest. It was no wonder the message sent five days ago was received by her just now.
And even he was shocked when her call suddenly connected. It must be the God of Love who pitied him by connecting their call just like he connected their fate.
He ordered his men to stop as he picked up her call. Truly, he was dying to hear her voice. It didn’t matter if she lash out at him or curse him or hell even threaten to divorce him. He wouldn’t say anything as long as he get to hear her.
Seven days without her were akin to hell. Only he knew how he went through these hellish seven days.
“Exactly, you called no one,” Zhenyi grumbled. She took a turn to a deserted road that lead to Xin Mansion.
“You are driving?” Long Jie asked surprised when he heard her grumbling about the dirt road.
“And what does it has to do with you?” Zhenyi said annoyed. Instead of coaxing her, he was changing the topics thinking she would forgive him?
No way in hell.
“Ah, why are you annoyed, my love?” Long Jie said with an amused smile.
“Who the hell is your love?” She yelled at him.
“You, who else?” He spoke so naturally that even Zhenyi felt as if she had wronged her poor husband.
Oh, wait..he wasn’t a poor husband and she had not wronged him in any way. Instead, she was the poor wife here whose husband had left her for someone another woman.
Fine, she was being dramatic but he still left her. Alone.
“Long Jie!” Zhenyi suddenly called out his name.
“Yes! Love?” He softly said.
“I’m so mad right now,” She said loudly. It was a good thing that no one else was sitting inside the car.
Long Jie sighed. “I’m sorry, Cat eyes.”
Hearing him saying sorry, Zhenyi whole mood took a U-turn. Taking a deep breath, she said, “Why are you saying sorry? Don’t bother me. I was just grumpy that I didn’t get to talk to you.”
Pausing for a moment, she then said, “Jie, are perhaps away from me because I was fighting with you for no reason for the last few days? I know that I was trying to infuriate you but trust me, I now realize how childish I was acting.”
