The Typhoon’s Dangerous Wife - Chapter 365
Xin Yichen couldn’t take it anymore and burst into laughter. He shook his head as he saw his Reine speaking in Ryuu. They both were so similar in some aspects.
All of them turned to find Xin Yichen laughing at him. There was a trace of sadness in his eyes too but the look of happiness on his face was apparent too. “Your mom was just like you.” He told this to Ryuu. “She would praise her kids to the moon and back. And if someone dared to say something about her kids, then Lord save that person.”
“Mama was like that?” It was Zhenyi who asked the question. Between the two siblings, only she didn’t remember much about her mom. If not for the stories she had occasionally heard from her brother and father, she wouldn’t have known anything about her.
Alcina scoffed. “My mother in law was the actual epitome of narcissism.”
If Tang Reine was alive today, it was crystal clear that the relationship between both mother-in-law and daughter-in-law wouldn’t be so harmonious.
Ryuu threw a look in Alcina’s direction but she just rolled her eyes at him.
“Alcina is right,” Xin Yichen said with a small smile. “She used to say if she didn’t recognize that she is unparalleled in beauty and brains, then how would the world appreciate it? There was no harm in praising yourself once in a while.”
“Once in a while?” Alcina asked him, surprised. “I have seen my mother-in-law singing her praises all the time. She didn’t even feel tired. I used to wonder if even one of her children inherited her narcissistic traits, what would become of the Tang clan?”
“What would become of the Tang clan?” Zhenyi sneered. “It will still stand with its head held high. What else!”
“Exactly!” The voice came from the door. When they turned back, they found Ming Jie entering the door with her husband. Proudly walking forward, she removed her big sunglasses and handed them to her hubby but not before blowing a kiss. “Dear, kids your god mom missed you so much.”
Ming Jie even opened her arms demanding huge from all of them. She was gone case.
Xin Yichen rolled her eyes at her antics. Why must his wife have friendships with the most eccentric people on the planet?
However, the three kids hugged her simultaneously. Their love and adoration for her were clear.
“Aunt Jia, how are you?” Alcina asked the lady.
“Your Aunt Jia is as beautiful and young as always, kiddo,” Ming Jie said. Ever since she had known that Alcina was Ah-Shaan’s daughter, she had formed a great bond with her, making a certain daughter of hers extremely jealous. Why were Reine and Ah-Shaan’s children more sensible and intelligent than her two dummies? It was not fair!
“Godmaa must stay as beautiful and young as always,” Ryuu flattered her.
Ming Jia beamed at them. How cute!
Wasn’t his compliments the reason why Ryuu was her favourite among all of them! Oops, he used to be. His won’t be long snatched by someone else.
Seeing Zhenyi without Long Jie she immediately asked, “Where is my favourite, boy?”
Everyone knew until now who her favourite among all of them was. It was Long Jie.
“Ah, he is busy with work,” Zhenyi replied with a slight smile.
“What work? I heard from Ah-Siyan, he is not in the country,” Ryuu asked with furrowed brows. First, he left Zhenyi alone in the Tang Mansion, and later, didn’t even try to contact him for several days. He was worried about two of them now.
“I didn’t ask much. But he is in Georgia, dealing with some stuff,” Zhenyi diplomatically answered. She was certain that no one knew where her husband was. It was better not to lie to them.
No one noticed how Alcina’s face changed when she heard what Zhenyi said. Now she knew why she has not seen her brother for so many days. He had believed in Zhang Boyan’s words. Damn, things wouldn’t be so smooth ahead, it appears.
Later, they informed the Ming family about the good news too. And Ming Jia had taken the responsibility of the mother-in-law as Alcina would need one these days. Naturally, everyone was happy with the news.
There was happiness everywhere these days.
However, Alcina had this weird feeling in her gut that was saying that things wouldn’t be so smooth ahead.
…
Another week passed too. Everything was going fine. Long Jie had not returned yet but at least Zhenyi knew he was found. If he couldn’t call her, he would at least leave a message for her every day.
During this period of time when Long Jie wasn’t home, Zhenyi had exhausted herself with double the amount of work. Not only was a load of her own had increased, she even had to see after her husband’s things. It was tiring but she didn’t complain, after all, overworking was better than tossing and turning on the bed at night.
She might say that she was not worried about her husband, even she knew it was the excuse that she was giving herself for not missing him.
But she really do miss him. That too badly.
However, the real reason for her haggard condition was surely not her husband. It was something else. And she was afraid. Yes, there are moments when even the dangerous and fearless Zhenyi was afraid.
Instead of that unspeakable reason, there was someone else who was having a great time in annoying the shit out of Zhenyi. From the last seven days, the infamous narcissistic*oops* self loving, Young Master was troubling Zhenyi without taking any break. It was like he was playing one or other prank to get her attention and as expected, he got her attention.
Every conversation between the two equally stubborn personalities would end up with blowing each other’s devices. Since Zhenyi was hopeless case in hacking and stuff, she had her own team to deal with that stubborn man!
Even she had no idea what he gets by getting the rile out of her but whatever the real reason was, it wasn’t hidden from anyone that he loved to frustrate the hell out of her!
