The Tyrant Mistook Me For A Companion - Chapter 2
‘It’s already been a year.’
I tried everywhere to find him, but it was a failure.
I let out a deep sigh in my chair.
Where the hell are he hiding?
Or has it not the timing yet?
knock, knock.
“Yound lady, the Count is calling.”
What’s going on in the early morning?
I hate to admit my father, who looks down at me with an expressionless face, looks just like me.
It’s natural because his blood runs in my body, but it didn’t feel right to me that he look down with a face similar to mine.
‘Why call me all of a sudden?’ Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever talked to him face to face.’
I got down on the chair and brushed off my clothes.
I had to get rid of anything that was worth picking on.
When I ran into him by chance, his slow-moving eyes seemed to see right through me. Edgar’s eyes gave me goosebumps every time I look at them.
“Can’t we not go?”
I peeped through the open door and looked at Diria.
It would appear that a child without fail is complaining. But I really didn’t want to see that human in the morning.
Moreover, wouldn’t it be suspicious if a person who has never called me out, called meal of a sudden?
“Young lady, there must be a reason why the Count called you. It’s the first time! He might have been interested.”
“That’s what I mean. He’s not interested, so why is he looking for me all of a sudden?”
Diria looked sorry for me as I grumbled.
Do I look like a crooked child because I’m not affectionate?
“I’m just wondering is it because I did something I wasn’t supposed to.”
“Ummm……. Maybe it’s because you’ve been going out a lot lately?”
“Did you tell him?”
“No way”
Diria shrugged. If it’s not her, then the knights are the obvious answer.
I looked at the knights with a sad expression.
I think it is them, looking at the way they avoid my gaze.
‘You guys are so mean to me’
I went to the city once or twice a week to find Leon.
It was to buy what he wanted, but he didn’t impose any restrictions.
Because he wasn’t even interested in me, he didn’t say anything whatever I did.
I walked around comfortably because you guys said you’d keep it a secret!
It is clear what the knights hinted at, they were bothered with the frequent outings.
“How about going out more comfortably with the Count’s permission?”
“He wouldn’t care.”
I walked around and stood in front of the door.
Who am I suffering for?
I wouldn’t have died if my father didn’t put me between Zenith and Leon.
I don’t have a companion, and I will die at such a young age.
At the hands of Delder Cavezer, he dies brutally on the terrace of the banquet hall.
I just got punished.
But why should I be punished along with my father? This is a bit unfair!
Delder Cavezer, the Crown Prince of this country. He loved his half-sister Janice Abel Botina.
It wasn’t that kind of ‘I knew and loved my sister’ from the beginning.
Delder fell in love with Janice, whom he met by chance, and secretly developed an unrequited love. Then, when Janice came as a princess, he was very angry.
Because his love couldn’t come true. But he seems to have been a friendly second male lead.
He loved the female lead and decided to support the happiness of the two. I shouldn’t have existed on that road.
Because he thought I was the one who would block their flowery path at any time.
Considering what my father did, I had no choice but to do so.
He secretly imported and sold various drugs, pioneered the slave market, and formed alliances with other countries that could rival the imperial family.
Of course, this was a secret to others.
My father set up an information bussines and did things that seemed normal on the outside.
The scale of the bussiness was large, and he was able to live so far because he did not give taxes or gaps to the royal family.
If all of this gets caught… It won’t be strange if the neck falls off right now.
‘What’s with the bloodline? we’re an enemy’
Let’s run away, but where am I going?
I fumbled with my little hand.
My heart raced as if it was about to explode at the thought of meeting each other after a long time.
Now that it’s like this, I’m going to ask it confidently.
With the slow opening door, I entered the office grimly.
I saw a man with red hair and blue eyes like me.
‘What the damn thing.’
He smiled ridiculously at me as he opened the door and walked in.
“It looks like a stray cat is here.”
A stray cat? A stray cat?
The word that he uttered when he saw me face to face for the first time was quite shocking.
He picked up at my bewildered expression and said with a smile.
The cold, sunken eyes glanced at me quickly every day without fail.
“You must have something to tell me.”
A lot, a lot. I took off my clenched mouth and shouted.
“Hey, you fool!”
Everyone froze on the spot upon hearing my words.
His brow wriggled and twisted.
“Ah…… this is not it.”
I closed my mouth in a hurry. However, I couldn’t pick up the words that had already gone out of my mouth.
With Diria’s pale face, everyone’s eyes turned to me.
‘Yes, I know.’
That guy called Father put down the pen in his hand. His expression is quite funny as he looked at me.
“That’s not it.”
“What is it…You’d like to say to me.”
He didn’t say anything.
I was just thankful that he didn’t lose his mind and telling me what was wrong.
“Let’s stop talking to each other!”
“Why should I do that?”
“Even if you don’t like it, I’m your blood. I didn’t open my eyes to this world because I wanted to be born.”
You shouldn’t have sown the seeds if you hated me so much.
It’s your responsibility that I was born.
I’m leaving you alone. I won’t say anything, so I want you to leave me alone.
My father’s expression was subtly twisted upon hearing my bold words.
“Oh, my lady.”
Diria stopped me in a hurry, but the mouth that burst didn’t intend to stop.
“If you’re going to stop me from going out!”
“It’s dangerous, so I’ll add more knights. it would be troublesome if you die somewhere.”
You’re so sweet.
I huffed at Edgar’s words, put my hand on my waist and glared.
I wanted to punch him in the way that he was annoyed as if he wanted me to die.
“Isn’t it easier if I die?”
“It’s different with you die in my hands.”
I, I!
“Once a week. Nothing more.”
“…Really?”
I asked back with a suspicious look.
Should I trust someone who may cheat somewhere else that easily?
My father nodded. He stared at me with his eyes wide open and tapped the desk with a pen.
“Why? You don’t like it even if I say yes, right?”
“No! Is that why you called me?”
“Yeah, it doesn’t look very good to be sneaking around like a stray cat. You’re a kid who’s only six years old. Keep in mind that actions that undermine the Count’s status should not be damage.”
Oh, you knew my age, didn’t you? This was unexpected.
“You knew my age, too. That much attention is enough. Let’s stay as usual. This kind of behavior feels unfamiliar to me.”
“I will. But you’d better not do anything intrusive. Everyone here is my eyes and ears.”
“Don’t listen to the story behind your back and don’t do it. That’s a pretty low-status behavior.”
I stood up without losing a word. Well, if you’re going to kill me, just kill me.
‘Hah, he’s not really gonna kill me.’
Edgar’s eyes turned sharp on my proudly raised chin.
In a hurry, Diria caught me and turned me over, greeted him, and left the door.
I grinned at Edgar, reaching out and covering my ears.
The knights who were watching this looked at Edgar with tense expressions on their faces.
He tried to get up, but Diria ran faster than anyone else and got out of this place.
