The Ultimate All-Rounder - Chapter 49
Chapter 49: No. 1 Beauty
Smack!!!
“And this slap is for me, don’t you know how tiring it is for me to hit you?”
How shocking!
Everyone on site was aghast at such a sight, even the sports club members behind President Li were watching with their jaws dropped. This was a sight they never imagined they would see. Were they dreaming?
Yan Xu slipped away from the crowd after President Li was struck because he was mortified of Xia Tian. It would be the end for him if Xia Tian was unsatisfied with just hitting the president and went for him next.
The literature and art club members jumped at Xia Tian’s violence.
“Wah! Wah!” President Li burst into a stream of tears as he began crying.
The crowd was awestruck at the sight of the sport’s club president crying. For the president to be hit to the point of tears was a dramatic turn of events indeed. Even Xia Tian was at a loss when witnessing a tough man bawling in tears.
“Fine, I won’t hit you. You can stop crying now,” Xia Tian said helplessly.
“Wah! Wah!” President Li’s wails grew even louder.
“Now, if you keep crying like this I’ll keep hitting you,” Xia Tian responded with an icy tone. President Li’s wailing stopped at those words.
“Leave, and don’t let me see you again.”
President Li fled hastily without turning back.
“What are you lot still doing here? Do you need me to send you on your way?” Xia Tian glanced at the rest of the sports club members. The group scurried away with their tails between their legs.
There was a person sitting in the distance, observing them.
“Xia Tian… What an interesting person.” That person was Huo Wennu. Instead of going to the literature and art club, she turned and left.
The earlier episode did not pour cold water on anybody else, for they knew Xia Tian did it to protect the literature and art club. He was only mean to the enemy.
“Today’s match will be tricky,” Ye Qingxue said to Xia Tian.
“That’s alright,” Xia Tian answered.
“I haven’t say how tricky it would be yet,” Ye Qingxue continued.
“It’s okay, I won’t lose,” Xia Tian dully replied.
“Anyhow, I’m still going to let you know. All of the basketball team’s front line players will be competing this time. Fang Li, who played with you the last time, was only one of them; it’s five of them this time.” Ye Qingxue briefly explained the situation to Xia Tian.
“No problem.”
“That’s the only thing you’ll say. Sister Wen is now involved in this. She said that if you won, Xue Chuan would get down on his knees and own up to his mistake. I’m telling you, don’t let him get on his knees even if you win. People have their pride. Although Xue Chuan went overboard this time, he didn’t do anything that crossed the line.” Ye Qingxue was very concerned with the way Xia Tian dealt with Tang Yan, pressing her to live up to her side of the bargain.
Xue Chuan might have been crude with his words but Ye Qingxue knew Xue Chuan would not actually walk the walk. He only said it to lure Xia Tian out.
“Sure.”
The game was about to begin. This time, Ye Qingxue opted not to use external help but called four of the literature and art club sissies to play alongside Xia Tian. Later, Ceng Rou followed the literature and art club members into the court.
When the basketball team had arrived, the rest of the club members, including the basketball cheer team were also present to cheer the five players on. Tang Yan did not arrange for the cheerleading team to move their hips this time but this did not affect their passion to cheer in the frontlines for the basketball team.
There was an increase in support for the literature and art club with some spectators carrying signs to stand behind the basketball god. However, these signs did not have Xia Tian’s face on them but showed a view of his back instead.
No one was able to capture Xia Tian’s face in the last game so only the view of his rear could be used.
“Look! Isn’t that Jianghai University’s No. 1 Beauty, Yun Miao?”
“She’s here to watch the game.”
“She’s so gorgeous! I don’t have the courage to get close to her…”
The arrival of Yun Miao had caught the attention of those in the bleachers. All the men were longing for her, and yet they all shared a similar obstacle — which was their inability to approach Yun Miao. They would be overwhelmed by inferiority the moment they drew close to her.
Despite there being a lot of people who came to the game until almost all the seats were filled, they would offer their seats to Yun Miao without hesitation.
“Yun Miao, come sit with me,” Huo Wennu said. She might not be close to Yun Miao but they had met in the past.
Yun Miao nodded in agreement. Huo Wennu had occupied the best seats but since nobody dared to sit close to her, this saved Yun Miao a lot of trouble.
“Senior apprentice, that person must be the basketball god!”
“Ling’er, don’t call me senior apprentice in front of all these people,” Yun Miao whispered.
“Oh, Sister Miao, that person there is the basketball god.” Ling’er pointed at the only male-ish person in the literature and art club. There were five men in the club and the four of them were sissies. Xia Tian was the only one who looked like a normal guy.
“Nothing special about him.” Yun Miao took a glance at Xia Tian.
The game finally began.
“Grab the ball!”
“Brother Tian, you should go. No one can jump higher than you,” the four literature and art club sissies addressed Xia Tian as Brother Tian.
“Just let them have it. What’s there to fight for?” Xia Tian could not be bothered to seize the first ball.
“Come on, basketball god!” Ling’er shouted out loud from the bleachers. Her voice grabbed the attention of Xia Tian but he was not looking at her. Instead, his eyes were on Yun Miao who was beside her.
Gorgeous!
Xia Tian did not have the words to describe the beauty of this woman. Engrossed in her beauty, he could not help but activate his Insight on her.
Soon, he realized a severe problem. His Insight was not working.
Xia Tian turned his sight toward Ling’er who was beside her. Still, his Insight remained inactive.
“What’s going on? Why isn’t my Insight working?” Xia Tian moved his eyes toward Huo Wennu. He saw through her clearly — Huo Wennu was not wearing anything other than breast patches.
This phenomenon left him with more questions. Why could he not see through these two women? Did it have something to do with their clothing?
2 to 0.
While Xia Tian was daydreaming, Fang Li took the lead with a dunk.
“I live for flowers… I live for the applause. I know I’m handsome but I just want to be an ordinary, beautiful man.” Fang Li started with his signature narcissistic move.
Xia Tian could not take his eyes away from Yun Miao. He loathed to part his gaze from Yun Miao’s beauty.
Wham!
4 to 0.
“Xia Tian, what the hell are you doing? You’re asking for it!” Ye Qingxue shouted. Xia Tian came back to his senses at the sound of Ye Qingxue’s voice, forcing him to cast his longing gaze away from Yun Miao.
