The Unexpected Baby - Chapter 24
Jamal was at his club trying to drink his sorrows away. He came to the club straight from Avery’s home,to think about how not to think about her.
He had tried everything he could to please Avery, he thought she just wanted him to be there for her, but it turns out he’s a burden. He was still thinking about what had happened at Avery’s home when he saw his mom calling for the sixth time that day, deciding to ignore it again.
It had been about thirty minutes since he was there and he was on drinking his 4th cup when a foreign hand touched his head.
“Hey Jamy boo” Sofia sang, still placing her hand on his head
“Trouble in paradise?”
“My life is none of your business” Jamal was starting to get annoyed by her.
“Did she finally loose those filthy things, she tried to set you up with?”
“The next time you open up your filthy mouth to talk bad about my unborn babies and Avery, I’m going to send you where you belong, six feet below” Jamal threatened, squeezing the hand she was touching him with while watching her struggle, no one was going about talk to Avery like that under his watch.
The moment he left her hand, Sofia left him alone, running out of the bar as fast as her legs in heels could carry her.
“Mom?”
“Hello son”
“Why are you here?”
“And why did you do that to your fiancee, you hurt her really badly, she was crying a lot, did you want to…”
“My fiancee?” Jamal interrupted.
“Who’s that mother? Sofia? I’m not getting married to her, she’s like a sister to me,at least that was what she was before she became a stuck up nightmare I want out of my life” Jamal pointed out.
“So it’s that low life nobody that’s got you twisted isn’t it, you were in her place earlier today weren’t you ?”
“And how do you know that?” Jamal asked.
“Well I had tracked you and heard that you were in a bad mood,so I sent Sofia here to cool you down, but no instead you…”
Jamal smashed his fist on the side of the car , the hairs on his neck standing straight. “I can’t believe you would do something like this!, I don’t want to be with Sofia. Avery is the first girl that’s never tried to be clingy on me, she’s the one I like, I want to see where this can take us and it’s a plus that she’s the mother of my unborn children. Mom the next time I see Sofia coming to meet me whether I am alone or not…” Jamal warned, entering his car without saying another word and zooming off.
