The Universal Villain - Volume 5
After Shen announced what they would be doing while he was gone, things had already been set into motion. For something as big as conquering the world one didn’t need an army that could control seven billion people. Instead, all you needed was an authority, something absolute in everyone’s mind.
And that was where it began. For the next month and a half, Shen began creating more and more Void Warriors along with the orb’s he used on his first assault on the Soul Society. They wouldn’t replace the police and they wouldn’t deal with public order either. Shen would let the governments he planned to subdue do that for him.
Instead, they were there to keep everyone in check. If anyone decided to step out of line and launch an attack on the fortress or any of his creations he had programmed them to kill all offenders. All in all, he would run the governments like a dictator and the governments would in turn run their countries while under his control.
While it wouldn’t feel like much would have changed other than the hundreds of destroyed cities Shen felt it would be enough to get his point across. And eventually, the long-awaited day had arrived. With the fortress landed in open plains Shen was standing on a hill along with Urahara, Rukia, and Orihime.
Overlooking the ground below was a field of red and black. Millions of Void Warriors stood lined up information before Shen all ready to be deployed. And not only that but floating above was a sea of red light the orbs which were equal to if not greater than the Void Warrior’s in number were also ready.
Using those temporary stat boosts Shen was able to so something which would have taken two to three months in one and a half. “Well, I think this should be more than enough don’t you think?” Looking towards the three behind him Urahara nodded in agreement. “Yes, this is more than enough. With this, we could easily destroy whatever nation dares revolt against you.”
Hearing that, Shen sighed to himself. “Too bad I’m not going to be able to stay and watch it.” He could stay here in this world until it was conquered however it was best to update the system as soon as possible. He needed to unlock the new features as well as get the store back. After all, as long as he was alive everything else could be rebuilt.
“Oh, one last thing. If Gin shows up, tell him I’m on vacation.” With that Shen was ready to leave for his two years in the null. ‘Alright, System I’m ready to upgrade you now.’ As soon as Shen announced he was ready to upgrade the System the space in front of him began to open. Like a door frame in space, a portal to a pure white dimension lied before Shen.
[Please enter the Null. Once inside the host will be locked away for two years without interruption. Entertainment and other ways to relieve boredom will be provided.] Listening to the System Shen was surprised. ‘Oh and here I thought I would get to imagine watching paint dry for two years. What a shame.’
Jokes aside Shen was actually really happy that he wasn’t going to be sitting in a void for two years without anything to do. Meanwhile, everyone else around Shen didn’t even react to the portal. After seeing him summon what seemed to be armageddon upon the world none of them questioned what he could do at this point.
“Alright, you guys have fun.” Walking into the Null dimension portal Shen was soon gone. Everything from presence to spiritual pressure it was all gone as the portal closed. After standing there for a couple of seconds both Urahara and Rukia glanced at one another. “Well, then let’s get started. Master Shen said the first place he wanted us to conquer was Japan with the least casualties possible, so we’ll start there.”
Starting with Japan, the massive army Shen had created began its crusade around the world. Japan was the first country to try and stop the army from advancing any further. Gaining assistance from other Nations, the military’s around the world converged on a single battlefront.
In synchronized motion, millions of bullets and shells were released from their chambers, flying across the battlefield. Waves of dust and dirt were kicked up as the firing continued. However, when the dust settled and the smoke cleared, the dark creatures continued their march as the orbs floating above them fired a barrage of their own.
As beams of pure energy etched themselves through the sky the battlefield began to glow a deep red before everything fell silent. Then, an explosion big enough to wipe out the entire army swept across the land destroying anything, and everything in its path. Pure destruction and unstoppable force. These two methods combined, brought the opposing army to its knees.
Due to Urahara and Rukia being invisible to humans, they ended up using Orihime as their representative. It wasn’t long before Japan surrendered. “Looks like everything is going well. I wonder what Master Shen is doing.” Staring at a global map on a monitor inside his lab Urahara was keeping track of progression.
Meanwhile, inside of the Null dimension, Shen was getting the relaxation he had needed for a very long time. Inside of the Null dimension, he could basically do whatever he wanted. With anything he wanted to eat or do becoming reality, he was able to enjoy his time to himself. Though there was one thing above all that he enjoyed.
Lying on a giant mattress, Shen had the Null dimension recreate something he never dreamed of being a reality. Playing on a large floating screen was an anime with the intro playing for the first time. ‘After so many years of waiting…’ Soon the title sequence came on as six words appeared on the screen.
‘No Game No Life Season 2…’
