The Vampire’s Love for Mankind - Chapter 3

Under my shocked gaze, Elvin smiled and ran his index finger across the wound on my palm. After a faint green light flashed, the pain in my palm disappeared.
Elvin held my fully healed hand and examined it for a moment, as if admiring his masterpiece. Then he clapped his hands happily and asked me, “What did you do wrong? You’re injured but you still need to stand here and get scolded?”
The disciplinary committee member wouldn’t let go of this opportunity to show off in front of Elvin. “Your Highness, she’s not a good person. She tried to steal her roommate’s bed on her first day of school and even hit someone. She’s too arrogant!”
But I didn’t acknowledge the accusation. “It was clearly my bed that was occupied, and it was also me that was attacked by a vase. You only punished me because my father’s rank was lower than hers.”
“You’re really evil. Even now, you still want to fabricate lies and slander me in front of Prince Elvin!”
“You know very well whether I’m lying or not..”
The disciplinary committee member wanted to berate me, but was stopped by Elvin. “This matter is very easy to confirm. Did you verify who the bed belonged to just now?”
“I… haven’t.” The Disciplinary Committee member clearly lost all confidence.
“Then please verify it before you say anything else. She’s innocent until proven guilty.” Elvin looked at me with a gentle gaze. “You can go back first. We’ll talk about it after the result of their investigation is out.”
I nodded. “Thanks,” I said after a pause.
Elvin smiled, his eyes slightly curved. “Remember not to bleed easily in this school… You’ll be eaten.”
I was stunned for a moment. I didn’t fully understand what he meant, but I felt a lingering fear.
If the one who came just now was not Elvin but an even more ferocious vampire, would I have been sucked dry of my blood and become one of the “missing people” in the myths?
At this moment, the door of the disciplinary department was kicked open.
An even louder scream came from outside!
Ever since Elvin appeared, a group of girls had gathered outside the door. Now, it seemed like another impressive figure had arrived. The outside was already bustling with noise, and it was even livelier than watching a top idol’s concert.
“It’s Ansir! It’s President Ansir from the Student Council!”
“My god, I’ve been in Rockefeller for two years, but I haven’t seen him. What kind of luck do I have today? The two of them actually appeared together!”
“His Highness Ansir is so handsome! No one can compare to him in terms of looks, right?!”
With such a kind and gentle vampire as Elvin as a ploy, some of my fear subsided. I stopped trying to avoid him and turned directly back to the newcomer.
Then, I saw a face that was even more handsome than Elvin’s. His eyes were dark red like blood jade, and his skin was white as snow, giving off a cold luster like moonlight. His bright red lips were like two freshly plucked cherries.
There was no trace of a smile on his face. The moment I saw him, it was as if I had mistakenly entered a harsh and dangerous ice age.
Unlike the elegant and noble aura on Elvin’s body, Ansir’s body erupted with a terrifying murderous aura.
Especially those slightly red eyes. Legend had it that only the eyes of a vampire that sucked blood would turn red.
But Ansir’s attention wasn’t on me at all. He looked at Elvin. “I knew you were going to be nosy when you rushed in here in such a hurry. You always let go of the humans who have done wrong. You’re going to make it hard for Yvette.”
Elvin smiled and stepped aside. “Yvette is much more upright and kinder than a younger brother like you. I believe she won’t blame me.”
Ansir casually kicked up the bucket beside him with great strength and it flew towards Elvin, venting his dissatisfaction. “If you indulge humans like this, these lowly things will climb onto your head sooner or later!”
Alvin waved his hand, and the bucket slowed down and slowly dropped to the floor. “I don’t think they’ll do that, am I right?”
Elvin turned his gaze to me.
I nodded. “I’m not a lowly thing. I’m human, and I don’t want to climb over anyone’s head.”
Ansir could hear the teasing in my words, and the anger in his eyes grew. “Are you provoking me?”
“I’m not. I’m just trying to be reasonable. Only unreasonable people feel provoked.” I didn’t know where the courage came from, but I could actually meet Ansir’s gaze without fear.
Ansir looked at me, the red light in his eyes growing brighter as the killing intent rose from him.
Seeing that things were getting out of hand, Elvin stepped out to mediate. “She’s just a new student who doesn’t know anything. Don’t bother with her.”
However, Ansir coldly shook off Elvin’s hand and said resolutely, “She will be the first person to enter the House of the Dead for the test this semester. Lock her up and send her to the House of the Undead tomorrow night.”
Elvin startled at those words, too, then gave me a worried look.
Although I did not know what the House of the Undead was, I instinctively felt that it was definitely not something good.
