The Vampire’s Love: You Are My Destiny - Chapter 387
“I mean, I have a grandma who knows some magic… but she’s not that powerful. But she got some effective ways to deal with things. I can’t explain what is exactly her ways… but maybe… she can help us with Graven’s condition if nothing else works. Only if you allow it. I didn’t meant to intrude in your way of curing Graven, just my 2 cents worth of suggestion though…” Rebecca said.
“Ah, okay… I have no problem with that. The quicker we can bring Graven back to life, then why not-? Much better to have another opinion than rely only on my own. You can inform Terros to bring your Grandma here anytime. I would like to discuss with her about Graven’s condition,” Elva said, eager to meet Grandma.
“Thank you, goddess!” Rebecca said.
“Don’t mention it,” Elva replied.
Terros looked at the ladies and said, “Aright, ladies… let’s go home!”
Laura looked at Elva and Veronica. “Bye bye girls… see you soon!” she said.
Veronica and Elva waved their hands.
The trio vanished from the terrace in the blink of an eye.

Terros and his entourage re-appeared in Graven’s manor.
They settled on the couch and discussed Graven’s condition.
A few minutes later.
Rosa, Simon, and Sofia joined them on the couch.
Terros rose to his feet. “Guys, I can’t stay longer because I still need to do some errand. I’ll come back after a few days to give you update about Graven’s condition. Bye all…” he said.
“Bye, Grandpa!” they all replied in chorus.
Terros vanished from their eyes in the blink of an eye.
The focus of attention is now on the two women.
Simon looked at Laura and asked, “Daughter, how did it go? How’s Graven? Is he alright?”
Laura released a deep sigh, trying hard to stop the tears from falling on her face. “Not bad but not good either. I don’t know how to explain his situation, he’s breathing but unable to move, talk or stand up. He looks like a living dead,” she explained miserably as tears flooded her eyes.
“Oh dear…” Rosa said in shock and hugged her daughter. She can feel her anguished just by looking at her face. “Be strong, daughter, your husband will get better soon…” she said in a reassuring voice.
“Mother, I want to go to my room upstairs… I feel tired. I want to rest for a while…” Laura said.
“Okay, let me accompany you to your room,” Rosa said.
The women left the living room and climbed the stairs, going to the second floor.
Rebecca remained on the couch to answer Simon and Sofia’s questions.
“What is really Graven’s status right now? Please tell us… my daughter paint us a muddy picture of his condition,” Simon said, confused.
Rebecca took a deep breath. “What Laura said earlier is true. Graven is like a living dead, he’s breathing but unable to open his eyes, move his body parts, or talk just like us. He’s just lying on the bed all day and all night long. In short, he’s in a comatose state, looking like a living dead…” she explained sadly.
“Oh… that is tragic…!” Sofia covered her mouth for a few seconds. “I feel so sad for my brother-in-law, he doesn’t deserved it,” she commented gloomily. “I hope he will get better soon…”
Simon breathed deeply. “Are there no cure yet when it comes to his strange illness? No progress has been made yet?”
Rebecca shook her head. “According to the deity who is taking care of Graven right now, she already started medicating him but his body is not reacting to the medicine yet. She’s still in the process of concocting a combination of medicine to try on Graven, but there is no guarantee of speedy recovery because the problem takes a long time to figure out. Medicating Graven might takes weeks, months or even years…”
“Oh, I hope it won’t take years for him to recover because my sister would feel stress out just thinking about her husband’s depressing condition everyday,” Sofia said mournfully.
“Yeah, I’m also wishing Graven a speedy recovery so that we all can move on from this sad events in our life,” Rebecca replied dejectedly.
Simon felt dispirited that Graven has to undergo such kind of calamity in his life. He’s been such a good son-in-law to him. A good provider for his wife. A loving husband to his daughter. He wished Graven a speedy recovery from the bottom of his heart.
He looked at Rebecca and said, “If you want to rest in your room you can do so now…”
“Thank you, Uncle!” Rebecca said and stood up. She patted Sofia’s arms and walked towards the staircase.
Sofia rose to her feet and said, “I’m going to the garden to feed the fish.”
“I’ll go with you, daughter. I also need to water my vegetable garden,” Simon said.
The father and daughter duo left the living room, going to the garden at the back of the house.

Terros visited Graven’s men in the headquarter.
Calder and several men were the only ones there when he arrived at the place.
“Grandpa! What’s up? How’s Lord Graven?” Calder asked, eager to hear fresh news about their master.
Terros lowered himself on the chair. “No progress yet, but the deity already started his medication… still no result up to now,” he answered.
“Ah… let’s give the goddess enough time to diagnose Lord Graven’s illness – maybe she will discover a cure for the lord’s health problem very soon,” Calder said calmly.
“How’s everything going here?” Terros asked.
“Everything is good, the South Pond Town is peaceful and protected by us,” Calder replied.
“That’s good to hear, son. Where is Horace?” Terros inquired.
“He’s currently at the town to take care of his daily activities and responsibilities there. Do you need help with something, Grandpa?” Calder asked.
“Um… do you know where can I find Luke?” Terros asked.
“I know one of his place that he usually frequented upon. That’s the only place I know. Horace know all Lord’s Luke’s properties though,” Calder responded.
“Ah, I don’t want to bother Horace right now since he’s a very busy man. Are you free? Can you bring me to Luke’s place? I need to talk to him about an important thing,” Terros said.
“Sure! Do you want us to go there now? Or later?” Calder asked.
“Now, if it’s possible,” Terros answered.
“Okie dokie, I’ll take you there now,” Calder replied.
“Alright, let’s go!” Terros said and holds Calder’s arm.
The men vanished from the headquarter a few seconds later.
They landed outside one of the manors owned by Luke located at the outskirt of Thorn Peak Valley.
The men approached the gate guarded by two men.
“Good evening, guard!” Calder conveyed his greeting cheerfully.
“Gentlemen, this is a private area. May I know why are you here?” one of the guards asked.
“Um… where here to see Lord Luke, we are his friends. Is he home tonight? can we see him please? We have an important thing to discuss with him. Please tell him our names, Calder and Grandpa Terros…” Calder explained.
“Yes. Lord Luke is home. I will inform him about your arrival, just wait for a few minutes,” the guard said and ordered his companion to inform the Lord about his visitors.
“No problem, we’ll wait here…” Calder replied pleasantly.
The men remained standing under the shade of the mahogany tree.
A few minutes later.
Luke can be seen exiting the entrance of the two-story brick house and walking towards the gate.
“Good evening, Lord Luke! Nice to see you again! Grandpa Terros wants to see you – so I brought him here. I hope you don’t mind,” Calder said.
Luke smiled. “Of course I don’t mind. Welcome to my abode, Grandpa and Calder,” he said and signaled the guards to open the iron gate. “Next time, if these guys come here, let them in right away. They’re my friends,” he told the guards.
“Aye, my lord!” the guards replied.
The visitors entered the property and were greeted with a wide well-manicured lawn.
“Let’s get inside the house,” Luke told his guest.
They proceed to enter the house and settled comfortably in the living room.
“Have you eaten your dinner, guys?” Luke asked.
The two men shook their heads.
“Not yet…” Calder said.
“I smell the delicious aroma of roasted chicken in the air and my stomack starts growling,” Grandpa jokes.
Luke grinned. “Guys, you’re just in time. I instructed the cook to prepare delicious dishes to celebrate my safe return. Join me for dinner tonight,” he said.
“Sure! We won’t say no to a good food and good company!” Calder replied with a broad smile on his face.
Luke looked at Terros. “Grandpa, did you bring me good news about my brother?” he asked.
Terros sighed deeply and shook his head. “Sorry, son. I have no good news yet. Graven isn’t responding to the first medicine that Elva had given him. She is still in the process of concocting new medicine – hoping to find the cure. It’s a trial and error situation because we really don’t know what causes Graven’s strange illness up to this moment,” he replied.
“I see… If there’s anything that I can do for my brother’s speedy recovery – please don’t hesitate to inform me right away!” Luke said.
“Okay, son. I’ll keep your word in my mind,” Terros said. “By the way, we’re here because I want you to go back with me to Windless Mountain…” he said.
“No problem… Why-? Did something went wrong with my brother?” Luke asked worriedly.
“No… not that. It’s for another thing. I want to ask you this… have you seen the cursed King’s face while you were still captured in the basement of the crumbling castle?” Terros asked.
“Yes! I was able to have a conversation with the cursed King – face to face. Why?” Luke asked.
“I want you to go with me back to Windless Mountain because Elva managed to save one alive servant from the castle before it was destroyed to smithereens. She wants you to identify if the one she captured is the cursed King or the servant,” Terros explained.
“Ah, okay. No problem. But I still have so many things to do right now, I’m a bit busy. I have so many things to settle in my businesses and properties after being away for many days. I will go there five days later, is that okay with you, Grandpa?” Luke said.
“Sure, no problem! Take your time,” Terros replied.
Half an hour later.
The servant informed Luke that dinner is ready.
The men settled in the dining room and ate their delicious dinner with great appetite.
