The Vampire’s Love: You Are My Destiny - Chapter 389
When Elva saw Graven’s condition with her own eyes, her heart stop beating for a few seconds. “No, this can’t be!” she said, shaking her head in despair and shock.
Graven’s skin turned dark and he resembled a corpse, his chest was no longer moving. He looks like a dead person.
“He’s already dead, isn’t he?” Terros asked the goddess as tears emerged in his eyes.
Elva shook her head. “Not ye! I won’t allow it! He needs fresh blood! Bring his twin brother Luke here right away!” she barked her command.
No time to waste, Terros vanished from the room in the blink of an eye.
Elva opened her palm, a bottle appeared in her hand. She looked at Veronica. “Help me opened his mouth…!” she ordered.
Veronica opened Graven’s mouth, she was shocked to feel his skin so cold under her touch.
Elva removed the lid of the bottle and poured the colorless liquid into Graven’s mouth in a gradual manner.
Veronica stared at the colorless and odorless liquid. “What’s that liquid, Elva?” she asked curiously.
“It’s a thousand years old elixir of life,” Elva replied.
“Will it be effective in bringing Graven back to life?” Veronica asked.
“I hope so. Let’s hope for the best…” Elva replied calmly. She stopped pouring the liquid into Graven’s mouth. “That’s enough for now…”
“Would Graven be alright? Would he be resurrected?” Veronica asked.
“Currently, his life is hanging by a thread. He looks like dead on the outside but there’s still life left inside him. We managed to feed him the elixir of life before it’s too late to revive him. As long Luke arrives here any moment from now, we can used his blood to revitalize Graven’s internal health. We need fresh blood to nourished his internal organs…” Elva said. “With the combination of the elixir of life and fresh blood from his twin, there’s a big chance we can bring Graven back to life,” she added confidently.
Veronica took a deep breath. “Tell me what to do next…” she said.
“Go to the kitchen, bring a bowl, spoon and knife here. Once Luke arrives we need to get fresh blood from him to feed on Graven immediately!” Elva said urgently.
“Okay…” Veronica left Graven’s side and went to the kitchen.
Veronica quickly returned to the healing room.
A few minutes later.
Terros arrived with Luke. They rushed to the healing room.
Luke was horrified after seeing his twin brother in the worst condition, Graven looks like he’s dead already!
“Tell me what to do? I will do anything for my brother!” Luke said.
“We need your fresh blood now!” Elva said.
Veronica looked at Luke. “Come here…” she said.
Luke saw the bowl and the knife, he already know what to do. He took the knife from Veronica and cut his palm. The blood poured from his wound and he let it trickle into the bowl.
While Luke’s fresh blood was falling into the bowl forming a puddle, Elva hold the spoon and feed the blood into Graven’s mouth directly while Veronica was making sure Graven’s mouth was open the whole time.
Terros forgot to breathe watching the whole intense scenario unfolding before his very eyes. His heart stops beating for a while as panic, fear, and madness attack his senses. No! He can’t allow losing Graven! Just when they were just recently saved from the clutches of the enemy, this shouldn’t happen!
He shut his eyes for a moment. “I will donate my blood if you need more,” he told the deity.
Elva looked at him. “Let see if we need more… Luke’s blood should be enough for now,” she replied.
After one hour.
They already extracted enough blood from Luke.
Elva stopped the blood transfusion. “That’s enough for now. Let’s observe how Graven’s body will react to the blood transfusion together with the elixir of life,” she said. She looked at Luke. “You can rest in the vacant bed for a while,” she offered.
Luke nods his head.
Veronica cleaned the wound on Luke’s palm and wrapped a dressing around it.
Elva addressed Veronica. “Come with me to my mini-laboratory,” she said.
The women left the healing room.
They went inside the mini-laboratory.
Elva picked up a bottle, handed it to Veronica, and gave her instructions. “Tell Luke to drink this concoction in full, it will quickly replenish the blood that he lost earlier. I think we still need more of his blood later or in the morning,” she said. “I’ll rest in my room for a while. Don’t hesitate to knock if something comes up with Graven,” she said.
“Okie dokie!” Veronica replied and left the room.
Elva released a deep sigh and went to her bedroom for a much-needed rest.
Back in the healing room.
Veronica handed the bottle to Luke. “Elva said that you need to drink the content of this bottle. It will replenish the blood you lost earlier,” she said.
“Thanks,” Luke said. He removed the lid from the bottle and drink the sweet-tasting liquid in one go. “I need more! It tastes like honey!” he said with a grin.
“Only one bottle for today, Mister!” Veronica replied and went to Graven’s bed. She looked at the haggard expression on Grandpa’s face. She rubbed his back gently, comforting him. “I know how you feel, Grandpa… Graven will be revive soon!” she said optimistically.
Terros released a deep sigh. “I hope so, my heart just died today,” he said miserably.
“Be strong for Graven,” Veronica said.
“I will!” Terros murmured. “I’ll continue to monitor Graven’s condition,” he said.
“Okay. Do you want some hot coffee, guys? I’ll make you one,” Veronica offered.
“Make one for me, please?” Luke said.
“Me too! Make it strong, please? I won’t sleep tonight. I will watch over Graven all night long,” Terros said.
“Alright, I’m going now to the kitchen and make some coffee,” Veronica said and left the room.
A few minutes later.
Veronica returned with two cups of coffee placed above a wooden tray. She put it on the table. “Guys, I’ll take a nap in my room, knock anytime if you want my assistance,” she said.
The men nodded their heads.
Veronica left the healing room and went to her bedroom to sleep for the night.
Back in the healing room.
The men were sipping their coffee while looking at Graven.
Luke sighed deeply. “He looks awful right now. Do you think Elva’s ways will work and can save my brother?” he asked, doubting the deity’s expertise a bit.
Terros sighed and replied, “I hope so. I still believe in her healing skills.”
“As you say so,” Luke said.
Two hours later.
Luke had already fallen asleep on the bed while Terros watched over Graven.
At 3:00 in the morning, Luke woke up and saw the old man still wide awake but already yawning several times, fighting drowsiness. “Grandpa, take my bed. I’ll watch over my brother until morning,” he offered.
“Thank you, lad. I’m so sleepy…” Terros admitted.
Luke vacated the bed and Terros took over.
A few minutes later, Terros was already drifting into a deep slumber.
Luke left the healing room and went to the kitchen to make another cup of coffee to help him stay awake.
After he finished making his coffee, he returned to the healing room and stared at his brother’s face looking for any signs that his condition is improving. When he looked closely – he noticed that the overall color of Graven’s skin is no longer as dark as it used to be before he had fallen asleep.
Wow! This is a good sign!
His heart was filled with gladness and happiness.
At 5:00 in the morning.
Veronica and Elva have already awakened early and rushed to the healing room to check on Graven.
They gathered around Graven’s bed and marveled at the big changes in his skin. His skin already returned to its normal color, the blackness was gone and he looks alive now compared to his frightening look last night.
“This is good!” Veronica exclaimed in gladness.
“Indeed!” Elva agreed, satisfied with the result of the medication. She looked at Luke. “How about you? How are you feeling?” she asked.
“I’m fine, ready to donate more blood to my brother’s body,” Luke replied with a smile.
“Good! We will make another blood transfusion later after breakfast,” Elva said.
“No problem,” Luke responded.
“I’ll go now to the kitchen to prepare the breakfast,” Veronica said and left the room.
Elva addressed Luke. “I’ll watch over Graven for now. You can rest in the guest room if you like. Just ask Veronica’s assistance,” she offered.
“Okay. Thanks, goddess!” Luke said cheerfully.
“Don’t mention it,” Elva replied.
Luke left the room and went to find Veronica in the kitchen.
Veronica brought Luke to the guest room. “I’ll wake you up after breakfasts is ready,” she said.
“Thank you, dear,” Luke said and climbed the bed.
Veronica left the guest room and went back to the kitchen to prepare the dishes.
One hour later.
Veronica had finished with her cooking preparation and informed everyone that breakfast is ready.
They gathered around the table and ate their breakfasts in comfortable silence.
After they finished eating, Terros, Elva and Luke returned to the healing room for another blood transfusion while Veronica washed the dirty dishes and clean the table.
Inside the healing room.
Terros put the bowl and knife on the table that was placed near Graven’s bed.
Luke picked up the knife and cut his other palm – allowing the fresh blood to trickle from the open wound to the bowl.
Terros keep Graven’s mouth open while Elva feeds the fresh blood using the spoon.
One hour later.
They finished their blood transfusion.
Elva looked at Luke. “You can continue resting on the guest room. We will wake you up when lunch time come. Sleep well,” she said.
“Okay,” Luke said and left the room after Terros finished dressing his wound.
“I’m willing to look after Luke the whole morning,” Terros offered.
“No need. I’ll watch over him the whole morning. You should sleep well while I’m here, then you can take over my place after lunch,” Elva suggested.
“Ah, okay. I’ll sleep in the terrace then, the air is fresh there,” Terros said.
“Go ahead,” Elva replied.
Terros left the room.. He proceeds to the terrace to continue his sleep on the swing.
