The Vampire’s Love: You Are My Destiny - Chapter 419
~Graven’s Manor~
The following day.
After they arrived from their short vacation in South Pond Town.
The couple was having breakfast on the veranda for a change.
Rebecca landed in the living room and found no one there. “Hello… anybody home?” she called out.
A servant came forward coming from the kitchen. “Good morning, Lady Rebecca!”
“Good morning, dear! Are the couple here? Have they already returned from their vacation in South Pond Town?” she asked.
The servant nodded her head. “Yes, my lady. Just wait here for a moment because the couple is eating breakfast on the veranda.”
“Ah, okay. No need to inform them right away. Let them finish their meals. I’ll just wait here in the sofa,” Rebecca said.
“What shall I serve you, lady? Do you want water, coffee, milk or tea?” the servant asked.
“Just water please,” Rebecca replied.
“Okay, I’ll get the water from the kitchen,” the maid said and left.
Rebecca waited excitedly in the living room.
A moment later the maid returned with a glass of water and placed it on the center table.
“Thank you, dear!” Rebecca drinks the water.
“If you need anything, my lady, I’m just in the kitchen,” the maid said and took her leave.
Rebecca put the glass on the center table.
Fifteen minutes later.
The couple finally left the veranda, they were delighted to see the visitor.
“Rebecca! Nice to see you again!” Laura rushed to her side.
The women gave each other a quick hug and settled on the sofa.
Rebecca looked at the couple. “I have good news for you, guys!” she said in a thrilled voice.
Laura’s eyes sparkled. “What is it! Tell us, please!”
Rebecca cleared her throat. “My husband is finally ready to meet you, guys! I’m here to set the time, date, and place for the meet-up,” she said, looking at Graven. “It’s just you and Laura, then me and my husband! Let’s make the peace official between families!” she gushes.
A megawatt smile appeared on Laura’s face illuminating the entire room. “OMG! It’s finally happening! I can’t believe this!” she blurted happily. The good news will allow her and her family to live a normal life again. They no longer have to be afraid of being abducted by the vampire couple’s men ever again.
Graven smiled. “I’m glad to know that Corbin is now willing to establish peace between parties for the good of all concerned,” he said.
“Yes! It’s finally happening! I can’t wait for the meet up to take place! Let’s do it!” Laura raved, looking at her husband joyously.
Graven smiled, loving the happiness radiating on his wife’s face. “So, let’s start choosing the place date and time…” he said enthusiastically.
“Sure! Where should we hold the meet up?” Rebecca asked, pondering about the place. “It should be a bit private and not on our residences…” she stated.
An idea popped up in Laura’s mind. “How about the beach next to that Coral Beach Resort that we have spend the other day? It’s a secluded place, and I see no one visiting that place. It’s a good place to meet up, surrounded by mother nature,” she suggested.
Rebecca and Graven pondered about Laura’s suggestion for a few minutes.
“Why not?” Rebecca replied. She looked at Graven. “What do you think?”
“Not bad. I mean, I like the place, it’s peaceful there,” Graven expressed his opinion.
“So -? It’s the beach then?” Rebecca said.
The couple nods their heads.
“Okay, we finally got the place. Let’s no longer stress ourselves about choosing another venue. So, let’s talk about the time and date?” Laura asked.
“Tomorrow morning, after breakfast!” Rebecca suggested. She chose that specific time because people are always cool-headed during the morning. A peaceful agreement can be achieved quickly by both parties because the human mind is still in its fresh condition during the morning and not yet bombarded with outside interference.
Laura asked, “Are you sure that your husband will agree on tomorrow’s meet up?”
Rebecca nodded her head and said, “Yes! He wants to get over it as soon as possible since he already agreed to attend the wedding with me. He told me that it’s not proper to attend your wedding without meeting you first…”
“That’s good! Your husband got a point – knowing that we don’t have any good history together and both parties are not in good terms, so it’s only right that we should have a proper conversation and introduction before the wedding took place,” Graven said in agreement.
“Alright then, we already have the place, the time and date… so yeah… let’s do it tomorrow! The sooner the better, for our peace of mind,” Rebecca spoke.
Laura smiled brightly. “Okay then, let’s do it!” she said excitedly.
“If I can’t come here today to inform you guys about any changes then that means the meet up will proceed tomorrow,” Rebecca said.
“Okay, got it!” Graven said.
“Do we need to prepare something – like food or wine?” Laura asked.
Rebecca shook her head. “No need… let’s save the food and drinks on the wedding day. Tomorrow, all we need to do is to talk about peace and nothing else,” she replied.
“Great!” Graven spoke.
“So… everything is okay now? Anything else?” Rebecca asked.
Laura and Graven shook their heads.
“I think let’s continue the discussion tomorrow in the beach,” Graven stated.
“Alright, I’m going back to my place now. See you tomorrow, guys!” Rebecca said.
“Wait… if you see Menedelia, tell her that she’s invited to our wedding,” Graven added.
“Sure! I’ll tell her…” Rebecca replied.
The two women stood up and hugged each other.
Laura smiled. “Bye, take care!”
“Bye, guys!” Rebecca bid goodbye to her friends.
A moment later, Rebecca disappeared from the living room.
The couple looked at each other, wearing pleasant smiles on their faces.
Holding hands they exited the house, going to the garden to enjoy the rest of the morning.
…
Rebecca returned to her place in good spirit.
Her husband sometimes pops up any time of the day to visit her.
She’s waiting excitedly for Corbin’s return so that she can tell him the meet-up tomorrow. She hopes that he will agree to it so that they can look forward to attending the wedding with peace of mind.
The moment the meet-up is finished on a positive note and the agreement of peace was established – then that will be the time that she will buy their wedding attire.
Lunchtime comes.
Corbin arrived just in time when the cook and the servant finished setting the table for lunch.
Rebecca smiled brightly at Corbin. “I have a good news for you, husband!” she said.
“What is it?” he asked, kissing her cheeks.
“I just came from Laura’s place awhile ago, I told them that you agreed to meet them!” Rebecca blurted.
“And then?”
“We both agreed on the date time and place,” Rebecca replied.
Corbin raised a brow and inquired, “When?”
“Tomorrow, after breakfast, in the beach!” Rebecca responded.
Corbin was silent for a moment.
Rebecca was holding her breath. Oh, no! Did her husband think that it’s too early?
She looked at him anxiously, waiting for his response.
Corbin saw the anxious expression on his wife’s face. “Alright, let’s do it tomorrow,” he finally said.
Rebecca’s lips broke into a radiant smile. “Thank you, husband! I’m so happy right now!” she said exultantly. She hugged her husband lovingly, wanting to let him know how happy she felt right now.
Corbin rubbed his wife’s back. “I know you’re happy, it showed on your face,” he said, chuckling.
A few minutes later.
“Let’s go now to the dining room and eat lunch,” Corbin said.
“Okay…” Rebecca replied.
The couple left the bedroom and head downstairs to have lunch in the dining room.
…
Meerville Town.
Menedelia was supervising the renovation of the stall that she’s going to rent for her palm reading business.
She missed having the chance to read someone’s future, it gives her the chance to see different destinies unfolding before her eyes.
The good thing about her gift, she can give good advice to people if their destiny is not good, and those who believe in her advice can benefit greatly to change the course of their life for the better.
But there are some instances that even if people already know what’s going to happen in the future, since they lack belief in her reading, they will still proceed their way and suffer the fate that was destined for them.
Anyways, enough of her musing, she looked at the men working on the stall. She was satisfied with the monthly rent, and the current renovation is going well.
By next week, she can finally start operating her palm reading business.
At 5:00 in the afternoon, the carpenters finally left the stall, finished with their job for the day.
Menedelia left the public market, entered the toilet, and disappeared from there – teleporting to Corbin’s manor to visit her sister and her Grandma Sitas.
When she landed in the garden, the only people she saw there were her sister Ebony and Grandma Sitas… Rebecca and Anastasia were nowhere to be seen.
“Sis…” Ebony said.
Menedelia went to Grandma Sitas and planted a kiss on her cheeks. She settled on the chair beside her sister. “Where is Rebecca?” she asked.
“She’s in her room right now, napping,” Ebony replied.
“How’s life here?” Menedelia asked.
“Fine as always. Everything is good,” Ebony answered.
“How about the couple? I hope they’re not having arguments or something…” she asked.
Ebony shook her head and replied, “Nothing of sort happens when they’re out of their bedrooms. I don’t know if they’re inside their room…”
“Okay, I’ll just wait here for Rebecca,” Menedelia spoke.
“Eat some apple,” Ebony said.
Menedelia put some slices on the plate and began munching on the crispy sweet fruit.
Fifteen minutes later.
Rebecca can be seen approaching the garden.
Ebony stood up. “I’m going to water my plants,” she said and went to the rows of vegetables nearby.
Rebecca sat beside Menedelia on the chair. “Hi Granny… what’s up!?”
“I’m fine… how about you?” she asked.
“Great!” Rebecca replied and said, “I have a good news for you!”
“What is it?” Menedelia asked.
“My husband and Graven agreed to meet tomorrow on the beach to talk about the peace agreement between the two families. Laura and I are excited!” Rebecca said cheerfully
“I’m happy to hear that! I’m sure it’s gonna be a big success. Good luck!” Menedelia said.
“Thank you, Granny,” Rebecca replied. “Let’s talk about our wedding attire because Graven invited you to attend the occasion. Don’t worry, I’ll buy you a nice dress for the wedding event,” Rebecca offered.
Menedelia smiled brightly. “I’ll accept your offer, thank you in advance for your generosity,” she said gratefully.
“Don’t mention it,” Rebecca replied with a smile.
The women talked excitedly about the upcoming wedding event and their attire for the occasion.
