The Villainess Fell In Love - Chapter 36 Khan Bojing, Prince of Hai'an
In the morning as soon as Li Wei woke up, she tried to slip out of his hold. Why was he so strong even when he was sleeping?
“Xiao Wei, where are you going?” Khan Bojing asked sleepily, his eyes were still closed despite the tight grasp he had on her waist.
Last night she had to use all her self control to stop herself from cursing. She had used of every ounce of patience in her body. Sighing loudly, she forced his hands away and got off the bed. “Yebai, either you leave now or I’m leaving.”
“Alright, I’ll leave.” Khan Bojing made himself wake up. This morning, he was in a good mood, but he gave her a sterned look. “Xiao Wei, I’m serious about what I said.”
“Okay okay, I know.” Li Wei grabbed his hand and walked to the door. “Hurry and go.”
He trailed slowly behind as she dragged him. When she let down her guard to glance back at him, he slyly pulled her into his arms. “Xiao Wei, I’ll take you home with me.”
“I don’t want to–”
“No complaints, no arguing. I won’t consider your opinion.” Before she could try to refuse him again, he swiftly jumped out the window and disappeared.
She spent efforts to bring him to the door and he didn’t even use it… Li Wei complained to herself quietly.
No matter what she did to distract herself, her heart felt heavy. He wanted to take responsibility, but she didn’t feel relieved. If he hadn’t come for her, she would still be just as worried.
All day and all night, she thought about what to do until she could no longer distinguish what it was she wanted. With Khan Bojing’s sudden persistence, she couldn’t do much. She was stuck in a room with no windows or doors, every direction she turned to was a wall. If she tried to run away, he would for sure find her. If she refused to go, he’d kidnap her. Nothing seemed like a brighter option than the other.
A week later on an early morning, a yellow carriage stopped in front of the Li Manor. Khan Bojing walked into her room carrying a wooden branch over his shoulder. A clothed bundle hung loosely at one end. “Xiao Wei, are you ready?”
“Not yet.” Li Wei analyzed all the expensive decors in her room. Which one was worth the most? “Yebai, which one do you think will get us more money? The blue pottery with a white lotus or the orange pottery with a red peony?”
Khan Bojing raised his eyebrows in interest. “I didn’t think you’d be fond of me so quick. You’re already thinking of how to feed our little family?”
She rolled her eyes at his arrogance. What fond? She only thought of herself. She never said she’d share her money. Ignoring him, her fingers trace the shelves of priceless potteries. Too bad she couldn’t take them all.
I don’t need anything here except you.” He came over and pulled her out of the room. It was unnecessary to bring such useless items. ”
“But I, Yebai I haven’t chosen anything yet! Don’t be so mean–” Li Wei choked on her own spit at the sight of a strange scene unfolding in front. Li Qian, Song Yuyan, Aunt Rin, Li Zhilan, and Hua Xifeng stood by the gate. It’s as if they were specifically here to bid her farewell. But they weren’t supposed to know she was leaving…
Two nights ago, Li Wei confessed to Aunt Rin about what happened between her and Khan Bojing. At first, Aunt Rin raged like a ball of flames, but Khan Bojing conveniently arrived at the perfect timing. Once again, even predicted Aunt Rin’s reaction correctly.
Li Wei didn’t know the contents of their conversation, but she only knew Aunt Rin came out of the room surprisingly calm and supportive. Other than Aunt Rin, the other guests were here without her knowledge. They were supposed to be leaving quietly!
At this moment she tried to smile, but her smile came out like a frown. She pinched Khan Bojing’s arm, but he was too muscular and her fingers hurt instead. “That head of yours have been spinning endlessly lately. What are you playing this time?”
His answer was spoken very casually. “Nothing much. I just told everyone we’re getting married.”
“You did what?!” Her eyes widened in horror and she stopped in her tracks.
“I invited them to our wedding.” He held out his hand for her to take.
Khan Bojing was such a big mouth! She slapped his hand away and challenged him, “I dare you to say that again!”
“Shhh, stay still and be good.” With that, he lifted her up and walked over to where everyone stood.
Li Wei forced her anger down, at least in front of others . She was stuck in his arms and she could only looked at Aunt Rin helplessly. “Aunt Rin, I-I will send you a letter soon.”
“En, Yebai told me everything. I’ll be waiting for the good news.” Li Fahrin winked and said her short, but loving farewell. “Take care, darling. I’ll come visit you as soon as I can.”
Khan Bojing didn’t spare her too much time saying goodbye. He let go of Li Wei and handed the bundle he brought earlier and gave it to Aunt Rin earnestly. “Please accept my humble gift. The time was rushed and short so I couldn’t prepare much.”
Aunt Rin laughed loudly, as if she was deeply entertained by him. “If that’s the case, make sure you treat me well when I’m in Hai’an.”
Khan Bojing nodded his agreement with Li Fahrin before he turned to Li Wei. Her gaze lingered on Hua Xifeng.
Li Wei felt her heart tearing. This man was someone she loved for years. Beside him was the woman he married and next to her was the man she’d soon wed. No matter how much she loved him, they were worlds apart while standing within an arm’s reach.
Things couldn’t be undone, they could never be…
Khan Bojing snaked his arm around her waist and possessively pulled her away from Hua Xifeng. She could only allow herself to be taken away. Today was her departure, she didn’t want to make things worse.
Only when they reached the yellow carriage did he place her on the ground. She immediately separated herself from him. “You, since when did you become so demanding and thick skinned?”
He didn’t’ have a chance to answer, not that he had answer anyway. At that moment, San’er peeked out from the blue carriage behind the yellow one. “Miss, I’ll be accompanying you to Hai’an!”
Li Wei smiled, genuinely happy to see San’er again, but she had no idea what was going on. Her questioning gaze accused the biggest culprit next to her. “What did you say to them? There’s no way you told them, right?”
“Never.” Khan Bojing smoothly ushered her up the carriage and sat next to her before he promised, “What’s between us can’t be shared with anyone else.”
“I just can’t believe it. Everyone is congratulating us…? They’re sending me off with a stableboy without a wedding and they’re this happy. Other than the reason that they don’t care…” Only one explanation worked. “You, what magic did you use?”
“My wife, I have no magic. I just told them one thing.”
She wanted to slap his face now. When did he become such a good liar? He could even lie to her so smoothly now? “You gave your word, you said you didn’t tell them!”
“Shhh, getting emotional is not good for our baby.” He reached over to gently rub her stomach. “I told them something else.”
“Tell me first.” She moved farther against the carriage, causing a frown to appear on his face. For sure he would answer her now if he didn’t want to before.
He moved towards her until his legs brushed against hers. “Ever heard of the prince of Hai’an?”
He was preparing to trap her. Li Wei eyed him with caution and she hesitantly answered, “Khan Bojing? Who haven’t heard of him?”
“Well, what if I say he’s in front of you?”
“Where?” She excitedly opened the curtain, but was only greeted by the empty landscape outside. She crossed her arms and glared at him with clear disappointment on her lips. “You tricked me?”
“I don’t dare.” Khan Bojing shook his head. “He’s in front of you.”
“In front of me where?”
“Right here.” He pointed to himself and grinned smugly. “Me. I’m Khan Bojing.”
Her previously moving eyes stopped searching. Khan Bojing wasn’t a liar. He wouldn’t dare joke on such a big matter, but it was impossible. There was no way. This must be another of his endless tricks. “Yebai, you better stop playing.”
Khan Bojing raised his eyesbrows, daring her to contradict his point. “What did I say I wanted to name our child if we have a son?”
Bohai. Khan Bohai. Khan Bojing… It must be a coincidence. Li Wei still refused to believe him. He was playing with her again. She wouldn’t fall for his childish prank this time.
“I’m serious. How else did you think I got everyone to come?” He crossed his arms and laughed in amusement, obviously proud of himself. “Did you think they had a choice?”
Even if she wanted to believe this was one of his mean pranks, she couldn’t. Damn the heavens! What had she gotten herself into?
She moved towards the carriage door, but he blocked her. He even took extra measures and blocked off the windows in case she jumped out. “Let me off.”
“No.”
“Let me off now, Yebai.”
“No.”
“I’m not going with you anymore. Let me off now!”
He pulled her onto his lap despite her protests. His arms trapped her so she failed to escape. After a while, she became exhausted. She stopped moving and turned towards him, trying to see to see through his thoughts as she often did when she needed to predict his attacks. What lies would she have to spout to escape from him?
“Don’t even think about it. You’re not leaving.” Even when she was just thinking about it, he could see the lies forming in her mind. His fingers traced from her forehead down to the tip of her nose and stopped upon her lips, brushing in small motions. In a softer and more vulnerable tone, he said sternly, “Not a chance.”
“Aiya, I really judged you wrongly. You were a wolf in sheep’s clothing this whole time!” Li Wei was doomed. She wanted to cry. She couldn’t win against his strength so she starting hitting his arms, but his arms were uselessly hard too. Why couldn’t she win against him?
“Shhh.” Khan Bojing spoke in a hushed tone in her ear, as if other’s could hear them. “My wife, other’s will question what we’re doing in here.
Shameless and annoying! Li Wei was in disbelief on how she fell into his traps once again. Her screaming voice was the last sound coming from the carriage as it headed towards Hai’an. “Khan Bojing, you scoundrel!”
