The Villainess’s Revenge - Chapter 317
“Sophia, prepare a bath for me, I need to clear my thoughts.”
Lady Melissa ordered Sophia, as the woman let out a yawn, a little tired from all the action and plot twists that had happened just a few hours ago, plus what kind of horrible luck did she have for all the three men that she liked to just coincidentally confess their love for her on the same day?
In a span of a few minutes, Sophia had gotten the bath ready for Lady Melissa, filling it with hot water for her mistress, noticing how tired and exhausted her master looked, especially since she had been yawning quite a couple of times so far.
Lady Melissa slowly undressed, with the help of Sophia, as she found it a struggle to even keep herself standing and awake, perhaps it was because of a few drinks that she had, hence she was still a little dizzy in the process.
“How was today Lady Melissa?”
Sophia asked, genuinely wondering how horrible the party had been for her mistress to look that exhausted and tired, thanking the fact that Lady Melissa hadn’t forced her to come to the party with her.
“It was horrible, I’ll sum up the entire party for you in just a sentence. There was a shooting, and I almost died because of that shooting. Now, do you understand why I seem so exhausted and sleep-deprived?”
Lady Melissa asked, she wasn’t being sarcastic, no far from it, she was just making sure that Sophia understood what she was saying, she didn’t even have enough energy to be sarcastic right now.
“That sounds…traumatizing.”
Sophia said, unsure of how to reply to her mistresses’ response since she was dating a man who had killed numerous people before and her mistress was practically a magnet for danger at this point, she didn’t get surprised that easily anymore.
“It was traumatizing, but on the bright side, all of them who tried to do that died, so who’s the real winner here?”
Lady Melissa asked as she let out a hearty laugh after what had seemed like decades of her not doing so, it was nice for her to have some quality time with herself, ignoring Sophia’s presence that was massaging her back.
“Higher.”
Lady Melissa said, ordering Sophia to massage her back at a higher position than she currently was right now, as the woman did exactly what her mistress said to do, Lady Melissa letting out a moan in response.
To say that Sophia was great at giving massages was an understatement- no Sophia was the absolute best at giving massages, out of everyone who had ever massaged Lady Melissa, Sophia was the one who was the best at giving them.
Soon enough, Sophia was finished massaging Lady Melissa’s back, as the maid helped apply shampoo on Lady Melissa’s hair, as well as massaging the head in the process, which although Lady Melissa detested most of the time, felt exceptionally good this time.
After what had seemed like seconds to Lady Melissa, which in reality had been 20 minutes, Lady Melissa finally stood up from the bathtub, feeling much more refreshed compared to how she had been just a few hours ago.
Lady Melissa had soon enough fallen asleep onto the bed before she was rudely awakened from her slumber by the door being open and slammed to the door so loudly that she was awakened by the noise.
“Lady Melissa, I apologize for barging in but this couldn’t wait, I’ve come bearing good news an-”
Derreck said, before he was hit with a pillow by Lady Melissa, the woman obviously valued her sleep much more than whatever Derreck was going to deliver the news with, plus it was a weekend.
“Derreck, It’s 5 in the morning, if it’s truly good news then can’t this wait in the morning? In addition to that I’m still in my nightgown, and the both of us know that anyone who saw you even daring to barge into my room so early in the morning, with me just wearing a nightgown would get you fired, so I suggest you leave now before I scream at the top of my lungs.”
Lady Melissa said, putting on a sweet smile in the process before she heard Derreck slam the door shut, the woman letting out a chuckle in the process, though what she said wasn’t lying, he could get fired if anyone saw him barging into her room.
Not only was it disrespectful, but it was rude as well, though what sort of good news would it be for Derreck to ever disrespect her in that way? She knew that he wasn’t intentionally trying to be mean yet her mind wondered what the man could even be thinking of, barging into her room at 5 in the morning.
Lady Melissa didn’t give it much thought though, as she quickly fell on her back, into the bed, her head perfectly hitting the pillow as she slowly closed her eyes, letting out a quick yawn before she fell asleep.
Lady Melissa woke up much more refreshed this time, as she quickly changed out of her clothes into a dress, slowly making her way downstairs before she was greeted by Derreck, a smile on the woman’s face.
She had been so curious the entire time ever since she had woken up, on what was so important that Derreck would just barge into her room at such an early hour when he, better than anyone knew the horrors that he would be facing if someone saw him.
“So, what is it? Spit it out already Derreck, looking at that sad face of yours is going to make me puke.”
Lady Melissa said as Derreck took a deep breath in before he nervously responded to Lady Melissa’s question, not knowing whether out of all the people in the Shayla estate he should be the one to break the news to her.
“Duke Gaston is courting you, he sent a bunch of flowers under the Trafford estate and you should probably go check the garden, I’m sure that you’d love to see the beautiful flowers he got you.”
Derreck said as he opened the door to Lady Melissa, the both of them heading to the garden together with each other.
