The Villainess’s Revenge - Chapter 330
In a matter of minutes, Justin had appeared right in front of her, as Lady Melissa sent him a sign signaling him to come closer to her, as her eyes landed on his body, seeing the number of wounds and scars.
“Go clean up, I’ll give you 15 minutes, you don’t have to worry about them anymore, I’ve handled it, oh and if you’re feeling unwell you can ask one of the other guards to cover your shift.”
Lady Melissa said as Justin nodded his head.
She had 15 minutes, 15 minutes of being unsupervised by her bodyguards, and she was sure that Lady Camilia wanted to say something or at least one of her goonies wanted to say something to her.
Right on cue, someone appeared right in front of her, it was the same man who had escorted her back into the Shayla estate from earlier, as she could feel the man’s intimidating presence, though she didn’t mind much.
“You have forty-five hours before the time is up. Lady Camilia wishes you good luck.”
The man said before he disappeared in a matter of seconds, Lady Melissa had lost a lot of time, and she certainly couldn’t lose anymore, she just hoped that in the next forty-five hours, no one would disturb her, and she hoped that Duke Gaston would meet her.
Lady Melissa had already sent a letter to the Mieth estate, requesting a meeting so that she’d be able to assassinate the man head-on since she technically couldn’t ask someone to kill the man for her, could she?
Lady Melissa just needed Duke Gaston to sent her a reply, and considering that it was Lady Melissa, the one sending the letter, she was sure that it would just be a matter of hours before the man would send her a letter back, she just hoped that by then, it wouldn’t be too late for her.
Lady Melissa doubted she could barge in and just murder the man since she knew that wherever she went, he had his ‘night shadows’ following him, his own very vigilant bodyguards that Justin had fought earlier.
Justin could beat up Duke Alphonso’s bodyguards, but he couldn’t beat Duke Gaston’s ‘night shadows’ his ‘night shadows’ were on a completely different league, strength and agility only fit to be Duke Gaston’s bodyguard, in addition to that Duke Gaston weren’t dumb, he’d know if someone tried to kill him, Lady Melissa was just hoping that because of the kiss they had shared a few days prior to this, he’d believe that she wasn’t trying to kill him, and ignore his instincts.
He’d believe her, right? That was what love was supposed to do anyway, it was supposed to blind people, give them hatred or resentment in their hearts, while at the same time, love was supposed to make them ready to do anything for the person that they are in love with.
But, how was Lady Melissa supposed to deal with the ‘night shadows’ after Duke Gaston was murdered? She couldn’t just run away, since they would obviously be angered and furious at the fact that their master was just murdered by her.
That was a part of the plan that she still hadn’t figured out yet, and she doubted that she’d figure out that part of the plan anytime soon, hence, if push came to shove, she’d have to think of what to do in real-time, which she obviously didn’t want to do.
Lady Melissa just hoped that before those forty-five hours were up, she would have already thought of a plan on what to do, and how she’d escape from the Mieth estate with all those guards in the estate.
Lady Melissa heard a knock on the door, as she assumed that it was probably Justin on the door, since who else would be on the door if it wasn’t him? Besides, she had told Justin to come back in fifteen minutes, as Lady Melissa momentarily glanced at the clock, wondering just how much time had passed ever since she had told him to arrive before fifteen minutes.
Lady Melissa looked at the time, just noticing that ten minutes had passed ever since she had told Justin to have some time to clean himself up and to dress his wounds or shower if he wanted to.
“Lady Melissa, it’s Justin, may I come in?’
Justin asked as Lady Melissa could hear him shouting from across the room, the woman nodding her head in agreement, whilst she quickly replied to Justin. “Go ahead.” Lady Melissa casually replied whilst thinking of how to escape the Mieth estate.
“I’m not going to take the day off Lady Melissa.”
Justin immediately said it was the first thing he said when he entered her room.
“Did I never teach my dogs how to greet me? Or are you just stupid enough to forget to greet your own mistress?” Lady Melissa asked Justin, as he could immediately feel her intimidating gaze on his body.
“No, I apologize Lady Melissa.”
Justin immediately replied to his mistress, as he got down on his knees, intimidated by Lady Melissa’s gaze, as the room was filled with silence, so much so that the only thing he could hear was his heart racing out of his chest.
“Fine, stand up, oh and tell one of the bodyguards to guard me too, and tell them that I’ll pay them extra because it’s over time, since you’re very obviously injured, I think I’d rather have two people guarding me, then just one injured person.”
Lady Melissa said, a smile on her face before she loudly told Justin to get out of her room, to which the man nodded his head in agreement.
Lady Melissa could just have Justin guard her until his shift ended, but she didn’t want to take any chances with the man since he was injured, even if he wasn’t THAT badly injured, it meant his guard was lowered down, even if it was slightly she didn’t want to take any chances.
