- Volume 1 Chapter 27 You Talk To Me As If I Am A Kid
“You called my b.o.o.b.s smaller than your balls.” He still asked me why I don’t want to marry him. “You forced me to dye my hair red.”
I could list a hundred reasons why he was bad husband material.
“I didn’t call your b.o.o.b.s smaller than mine. I said that you should eat more.” He glanced at my chest and then, looked away. “It’s the truth though.”
This hateful man! “You are going to remain single for the rest of your life.”
Dante stared at me. After a long pause, he said, “Your reasons aren’t good enough.”
“I have standards.” I crossed my arms and stared back. “Show me your ball and then, I will decide whether I can marry you or not.”
“So, I have to prove that my balls are bigger than your b.o.o.b.s,” He mumbled. “It was less difficult before.”
“…” What’s up with this guy and balls? Would his ego hurt less if he doesn’t hurt my ego?
He coughed and said, “What kind of man do you want to marry?”
‘Someone who is not you.’ I wanted to yell at him. But I kept my inner thoughts to myself this time. Dante was a prince. I had never seen a real prince before. I did have some expectations, even if it wasn’t a Disney one. Dante had shattered the image completely.
“What can you offer me?” I smirked at him. “I am still a nobility who is also Kaige Jin’s ex-fiancee.”
“True.” He looked at me. “A wanted noblewoman who killed her family. Your head is more valuable than the rose diamonds of Vahar.”
Rose diamonds of Vahar sounded invaluable. I wanted a diamond ring. “What are the benefits of marrying you?”
He snorted. “Benefits?”
“Why would anyone marry you if there are no benefits?” I frowned at him. “It’s not like we are lovers.”
Dante creased his forehead, displeased. “You aren’t in love with me.”
“I stopped falling in love at first sight long ago,” I told him. “Looks are very important, but there are other important things.”
He laughed. The asshole shook his head as if he couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “You care about people’s hearts and not their abs?”
How did he know? I leaned back in fear. I did care about abs a lot and the package between the legs. Raymond was big and he knew how to move. But later, I learned how he knew it so well in the worst way possible. When the gynaecologist told me that I had syphilis, my world crashed.
My boyfriend was cheating on me and he gave me syphilis. I stopped believing in love. Even the idea of having s.e.x made me paranoid. What if I got STDs from one night stands? I didn’t want to date again. So, I invested a little in dildos and other toys. They couldn’t give me STDs and they would never cheat on me.
But humans are complicated. Dildos weren’t enough. Reading smutty web novels also affected me. I thought that there was a chance. I fantasized about having a man who would only think about f.u.c.k.i.n.g me and showering me with love. That’s why I accepted the blind date.
However, I ended up in a web novel.
That was the saga of my love life. An ex-boyfriend who was good in bed. Syphilis. A marriage proposal from a fictional emperor who had killed me twice.
I sighed. My life was a disaster. Perhaps, I should give up on love and buy a better dildo after I return to my world.
“Didn’t you see my abs?” Dante probed me. “Aren’t you in love with them?”
“They are good, but it’s not enough.” I rolled my eyes. “Besides, I have a feeling that you won’t be good in bed.”
Dante Scheledrus Wyrm paled. He retracted his hand and pursed his lips. I studied his side-profile in silence. He was a masterpiece. However, he didn’t show any sign of l.u.s.t or desire. His dirty talks were surprising, but it felt like he was not genuine. His words didn’t match his actions. He seemed fake to me. It’s probably because he was a fictional character.
Since he was a fictional character, it should be fine if I played with him a little. My chances of survival were higher if he started to love me, even if the love was unreal. How could unreal people love for real? Everything in this world was created by the author. The feelings were also written by the author. Each character had a certain setup.
Dante had to be a villain. Viessa had to be an airhead. Lastly, Kaige Jin had to be an evil king.
As long as I played my cards right, it should be fine.
The problem was that I didn’t have many cards. I was pretending to be Aloisia, the damned necromancer. Where the heck that woman was? I was sure that she was plotting something. I needed to look for her.
To do the things that I wanted to do, I needed power.
Being this man’s wife wouldn’t be a bad idea. But marrying a fictional character went against my beliefs. Marriage was something serious.
“I don’t want to sleep with you, woman.” He croaked, “I only need an empress.”
“You aren’t even the emperor yet,” I said.
“I will be,” came his reply, “after tonight.”
Heck! Was he going to kill his father? If he did that, there was no way that he could ever shed his villainous identity. I couldn’t let him do that.
I stood up abruptly and pointed at him, “You aren’t allowed to kill your father.”
He frowned at me darkly. “How do you know that I was planning to do that?”
‘Because I read the web novel, you dimwit.’ Of course, I couldn’t tell him that. “I read it in the book of prophecy that you will kill your father. Emperor, killing one’s parent is a bad bad bad deed. You can’t do that.”
“You talk to me as if I am a kid.” He squinted his eyes. “Killing and taking the throne is the fastest way.”
That was his logic. I stopped asking myself what the hell was wrong with him. His entire set up was wrong. His logical reasoning was even worse. Did he even have something called logic in his head? I doubted it. The book was full of illogical characters. What was I expecting? “I will make you the emperor.”
