The Villain’s Light - Chapter 86
The summoning circle created by Rhash using his own life force covered a large area and soon, thousands of bats came out
The bats might be weaker generally compared to the brainwashed believers but they made up for that with their numbers
“Reif, deal with their leader!” Rhash shouted. Despite not wanting to put Reif in danger as he was still suffering from injuries, there is nothing else they could do but to fight this inevitable battle
Reif nodded his head at that and he vanished from his original location. When he reappeared, he was already near Nath that was protected by his believers
The two archenemies have met again for the third time and they glared at each other
There was no talk needed between the two of them as they attacked each other
Nath with the help of his believers raised his power to the maximum. The barrier this time not only delivered the damage he would receive to his believers, but it also gave him access to his believers’ powers
In other words, Nath’s rise has risen by another level as his source of power was not only himself
In a flash, the two clashed yet again. Nath uses his Holy Sword while Reif only condensed one with his magic
In their past clashes, Reif was the one in the winning end but this time, things are different
Reif was pushed back from the collision of their swords, a testimony that this time he was at the weaker end
Well, this is not because the so-called Son of God was personally stronger than him. Nath can just use the power of his believers as long as they are inside the barrier
That gave him the power to win in the first clash
Things would be easier for him if his believers were to attack Reif alongside him but in this life, Reif is not alone
He has his big brother that is taking care of the believers with the help of his summoned bats
Whenever the guards around Nath tries to attack Reif, the nearby bats would take that chance to hurt them
As a result, Nath was forced to fight Reif in a 1 versus 1 battle. But with the help of his forces, he is confident that he would win
After all, Rhash cannot defeat all the believers all by himself even with the help of his summoned bats
If the battle took a long time, Nath’s side would have an even greater edge. They just need to drag the battle and their victory was already almost settled!
Nath wields his sword as he once again charges at Reif. The two dance beautifully yet also dangerously around the town
Sometimes, they are in the ground but they would also appear in the sky from time to time
The crimson streak and white streak of light was a sight to behold as they clashed over and over again
Their battle not only harmed both of them but also their allies. Both the bats and believers have been killed as the result of their collisions
Their deadly swords know no bounds as they both want to kill each other
This time, Reif was slowly losing. Sword wounds littered the entirety of his body. These wounds should have healed fast with the help of the Shard of Brilliance but the shard was more focused on healing the internal injuries that Reif has
The internal ones were more severe as they were preventing him from using his maximum power and even if Reif pushed it, his condition just worsen
As for Nath, even if Reif managed to give him injuries, the damage he sustained would simply be transferred to his believers
It was like Nath is using a big cheat to ensure his victory and the situation turns grim for Reif
But despite how dangerous the situation was, Reif still persisted. He had shed a large amount of blood already but he was still fighting while ignoring his body condition
“I should have killed you years ago” Reif said in regret. If he succeeded back then, his big brother wouldn’t be put in the same danger as he is currently
“I could say the same” Nath coldly replied as his sword drew another arc in the air
Reif bit his lower hip as he tried to use gravity to save himself. But even then, his side still receives another cut and he could only retreat
This time, Reif has changed his target. Since whatever damage he would inflict on Nath would just be sent to his believers, why don’t he start dealing with the believers that are weaker in power?
They are easier to kill compared to Nath!
With that in mind, Reif raised his left hand and countless crimson bombs have been created by him already
The crimson bombs bombarded both his enemies and bat allies. The bats are now low in number and it was better for Reif to kill the bats himself in exchange for the death of much more believers
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The crimson color flooded the town again. The buildings and houses have been indiscriminately destroyed, also killing the innocent citizens in the process
Both Nath and Reif’s sides would sacrifice innocent people for the sake of their goals
While Reif was busy bombarding his enemies, Nath uses the chance exchanged by his believers to deliver him another blow
A white streak of light flew in the air as Nath thrusts his sword to Reif that tried to block the attack
Reif strikes the air with his palm, creating another repulsive force but it still wasn’t enough
Nath’s sword succeeded and it created a hole in Reif’s stomach before he sensed something
“Take this!” Rhash shouted, a dense amount of power gathered into his fist and he strikes the barrier with it
Crack
The barrier instantly cracks, creating a hole in it
“Big brother did it” Reif thought happily. There are two most important things that Rhash has taught him
First, if he could defeat the enemy defeat them as soon as possible. Don’t toy with them and give another variable to appear and cause him to fail
Secondly, if the enemy is not something you could defeat, do your best to run away. If it means making your enemy think that you are set in a battle to death then make them think of that
Reif has drawn the focus of Nath and Rhash uses that chance to create a hole in the barrier to escape
Although the cost of the forceful creation of exit is that Rhash’s whole right arm has exploded
It was not able to handle the overwhelming power it holds earlier. It was the combination of almost all of Rhash’s magic power along with the majority of his life force
It was fortunate that he has the body of a vampire. If not, he would permanently lose a whole arm
“Reif!” Rhash called out loudly and Reif used all of his power to get away from Nath
His stomach still has a hole in it but the shard of brilliance was letting him keep his life
As Reif can control gravity, his speed was simply explosive. Add that to the deaths of the majority of Nath’s believers, it made his speed superior
Reif reaches his big brother and dragged him out of the barrier
This is an unexpected outcome for Nath but he still has one card in his sleeve
His eyes glowed with a bright light and his divine power was condensed into his palm before a streak of light was shot by him
The light’s speed was simply astonishing. Despite the out of this world speed of Reif, it still caught up to him and landed in his body
As soon as the light touches him, a divine formation appeared behind Reif but he ignored that as he focused on dragging his big brother in safety
Since Nath has to maintain the image of the Church of Light, he could not chase those two
If not, there might be people that would witness how merciless he could be. That is detrimental for his goal
“Even if he runs away, he would soon die” Nath muttered before looking at the destroyed town
There weren’t that many left from his believers and he clicked his tongue in disappointment. Despite having a large force, he still failed to kill the person he has to kill in this world
This greatly dampened his mood but his brilliant mind just thought of what he should do next
“Two of you disguise yourselves to look like those demons while the rest would go and kill the remaining survivors except for one. We will spread that it was those two that massacred these people”
Nath’s plan was plain vicious. Despite these deaths having him as the root cause, he wants to push all the blame to Reif and Rhash
Although he knows that Reif would soon die, he still wants to do this in case a miracle happened on his enemy’s side
