The Voyage In The Blizzard - Chapter 92
“Surround all the gates quickly!”
“Caution! To the right of you!”
Fighting off a flying arrow with another arrow, Ruolan, a knight who held the same important position as Nien, standing with an arrow stretched over a bowstring, was preparing to defeat another soldier.
“Ruolan near Tiger Mountain, there are too many of them.” The other warrior said, panting.
“Why are you telling me all this?! Go there quickly! And don’t you dare tell Nien about it. She is already torn between your words and the palace.” Ruolan replied, pointing her arrow forward.
Noticing Yun Qi running towards Tiger Mountain, Ruolan stopped her.
“Where are you running like that?”
“Step aside..” Yun Qi said and wanted to continue her run, but Ruolan grabbed her hand and said, “It’s all your fault. You brought all these warriors to the kingdom. Tell me your goal is to destroy the queen and take over the world of waterfalls? And don’t tell me that it is not true, I know perfectly people like you.”
“Let me go. How many times should I tell you?” Yun Qi calmly added, “Please move away.”
“There will probably be more problems from you. In the end, according to that Sun’s words, the sooner I give you to them, the sooner they leave.” Strengthening her grip Ruolan dragging her along with her went towards the city.
“I’m sorry.” Yun Qi said, and at that moment when Ruolan least expected it, she sharply punched her with a fist and she fell to the ground. “I’m sorry.” she repeated and continued on her way south. Not knowing where Longwei and Lei were, in complete despair, she just ran forward. After all, it seemed to her that if the curse was destroyed, then Sun and his army would also disappear.
Hearing loud screams behind her and the sounds of swords banging against each other, she at the same time felt guilty for ruining the peace of such a beautiful world.
“Hold her!” Ju Long’s voice was suddenly heard. After speeding up her run, Yun Qi grabbed her only small knife as a defense and was ready to strike.
“Hold her!”
Noticing that the warriors of the Second Clan were heading towards her from all sides, she lost control over herself, suddenly stumbling over a stone, fell down. But without stopping at this, she got up and continued her single path.
“Catch her!”
“Xing Fu?” she asked in surprise and noticing that he threw a sword at her side, she quickly reacted and caught it.
“Run faster! I will protect you!” he shouted.
Fixing her gaze on a high mountain that towered over small rocks, she attached her sword to her belt, determined to defeat it all, her self-confidence was suddenly shaken by Xing Fu’s cry. Stopping for a moment, she saw him fall to his knees with a stuck sword in his chest. The warrior standing over him, taking advantage of the moment of his weakness, struck him with all his might and he almost fell dead.
“Xing Fu!” she screamed. Legs themselves carried her in his direction.
Screaming at the top of her voice, she threw a knife at the warrior who was also running at her. Throwing herself like a wild beast, she pulled out a knife from the warrior’s shoulder and, waving her hand, she wanted to strike the next blow, but Xing Fu got ahead of her. Still having strength, he grabbed his sword and hit the enemy but the next moment he fell too.
“Xing Fu! You are injured!”
“I’m fine. Go. Leave me.” holding the wound with his hand Xing Fu said.
“Xing Fu please survive!” Pressing his sweat-drenched head to her chest, Yun Qi said.
Smiling, Xing Fu raised his hand to her face and whispered, “I will survive if you answer my question.”
“Xing Fu, open your eyes!”
“Yun Qi, answer my question.” He muttered through the pain.
“Ask. If my answer gives you strength, then ask.”
While the whole world around them ceased to exist, Ju Long slowly, without haste, began to walk in their direction. Throwing aside his sword, he said with a smile on his face, “Yun Qi dear, weren’t you acting too disobedient?!”
While Xing Fu was conscious of Yun Qi slightly lifted him and took several steps to the side. Supporting the wounded with one hand and her sword with the other, she did not feel fear but feeling a desire to survive for the sake of everyone, she swung her sword before Ju Long wanted to catch her.
“How hard it is when you have friends and perhaps even those who are so dear to you. They always interfere. Because of them, you always have to sacrifice a lot, sometimes even your life.” said Ju Long, slowing his pace.
“Leave me. Go away.” whispered Xing Fu falling to his knees.
“Let him go. Don’t be stupid. He’s not worth sacrificing. You have a chance to escape. So take it. I’ll even pretend I can’t see you.”
Without letting go of him, Yun Qi stopped and held her sword in front of her and said, “Let’s get it over with. I don’t want to torture you either. Let’s put an end to this hide and seek. Victory is either behind you or behind me.”
“Do you want to give me a competition? I will gladly take part.” Ju Long said laughing, and throwing his cloak aside, he assumed the proper pose of a warrior. “Let’s see how much you look like your father.”
“Yun Qi no.” Xing Fu wanted to stop her, but putting him gently on the ground, she stood in front of Ju Long.
Without any warning, Ju Long waved his hand with rage in his eyes, and the thin blade of his sword slid right across the skin of her cheek.
Feeling a few drops of blood slid down her skin, she ignored the pain and swung her sword and the next blow was behind her.
After proving to be much stronger than her, striking blow after blow so quickly that she could hardly notice where his sword was, Ju Long stopped.
Looking straight into his eyes, Yun Qi, knowing what he was thinking, bent down before his hand hit the air under the weight of the sword. Bending down, dodging blows, she whirled like a whirligig.
Recalling all the movements that her father taught her, she stopped and waited for the next blow.
“You give up so quickly.” he said, and when he took a step closer to her, she sharply hit his stomach with her knee and he made a heavy sound of pain.
But without wasting time for pain, he quickly snatched her sword from her hands.
“Sorry, but I don’t have time to play with you.”
“Neither do I.” she said and feeling a tree behind her, she knew that she had nowhere to run.
Approaching, Ju Long touched her face with the blade. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you. But that’s life. And I’m sad that you learned all about life at such an early age.”
And when he was very close, Yun Qi closed her eyes and for the first time in her life gave up so easily.
“Now you will let me take you to the Master.” he said and putting his sword to her throat grabbed her hand.
“I think you’re too confident in yourself. But you know what, confidence won’t save you.” suddenly a voice was heard behind the tall figure of Ju Long.
Surprised, he turned back to see who said it. And at that very moment, Yun Qi, grasping the tree with both hands, jumped up and kicked him with both of her feet.
Smiling at her, Xing Fu brushed a strand of hair from his face and swung his fist to give Ju Long a very strong blow.
“You go. I can handle with him.” he said.
“You have a talent for dramatizing your fake dying pain.” Yun Qi said lightly hitting him on the shoulder.
Pressing Ju Long to the ground, Xing Fu pointed to his chest and said, “You won’t believe me, but your book saved me. It served as a shield for me. If it hadn’t been for it, the sword would have pierced me through.”
Coming to his senses after a strong blow, Ju Long wanted to throw him off himself but Xing Fu, holding a sword to his neck, still smiling, said, “Go. I can handle it myself.”
“Oh, you boy!” exclaimed Ju Long. Without waiting for what will happen to him next, Yun Qi now, without looking back, ran to her distant target.
