The Weapon Masters Transmigration - Chapter 121 Shopping Pt. 2
The twins took the initiative to approach Cole. They were dressed in the usual stuff that kids their age would wear. The kind of clothes that people who stayed at home all the time usually wore. Normal sweaters, random shirts and some pairs of jeans.
“So, what is the honourable Cole doing here?”
“You look more like a pop idol like that.”
Cole let out a sigh. He had let his hair down which meant that he had his bangs down. Gemi could only sigh in her mind that Cole wasn’t showcasing his beautiful looks out to the world.
“I wonder how many more times I’ll be told that I look Asian.”
‘I wonder if I’ll be able to debut a mixed group instead? On second thought, no. Cole will probably be busy in the coming days. He needs his rest.’
Mini was about to answer but it turns out that Cole was posing the question to himself.
“Probably a lot more, anyways. What are you two doing here?”
“We were looking for the exit since we got everything we need and got lost.”
“And I keep telling her that her sense of direction sucks.”
“I thought I had gotten better okay!”
The two of them started childlessly bickering with each other. Like that, they looked no different from other children their age. But then it got Cole thinking. He knew that the kind of technology the twins’ was most familiar with were the ones at the technology level of the〈Avant Zone〉.
The kinds of manga and novels they were interested were also in line with the ones currently active right now. So, Cole decided that he would ask.
“Was there another reason?”
“No, why’d you ask?”
“I was just thinking that maybe you guys would’ve wanted to see a version of your past world that didn’t end badly.”
Both of the twins’ eyes shook slightly but they were quickly overcome with calmness.
“Was it Lucille?”
“Maybe it was Cia, you sort of let it slip.”
“No, I overheard it. She probably thought to tell me but forgot about it.”
Silence ensued between the three of them. They decided that it was best to leave the topic for another day. Cole could feel that his life would get involved in the twins’ at least some later point in time.
It didn’t take too long for Felicia to come out of the changing rooms. By now, Cole’s face had completely regained its usual tranquillity.
“So, how were they?”
“All pretty good and I liked all three. It’s gonna be hard to choose one.”
“Then we can get all three.”
Three seconds were used up for Felicia to fully process that statement.
“Do we really have that kind of money?”
“Weren’t you the one that was using about me using some fancy black card?”
“Yeah, but I was just joking. After all, money doesn’t come from thin air.”
Cole had expected for Felicia to say something like that eventually considering her family situation. He had thought that it would have come up during their impromptu Valentine’s Day celebration but it hadn’t.
“It’s fine, the upcoming job will yield up a lot of money for a single request. And there’s still the vault.”
She shrugged. Since Cole had reassured her, might as well believe him. But since they were here, Cole wanted to get a few things for Eva as well who was probably still enjoying her nap. Cole grabbed the attention of the same attendant that had serviced them earlier.
“Miss, where’s the child clothing section?”
“Ah, is it for your little sister or niece?”
“No, it’s for my daughter.”
The attendant flinched for a bit. She didn’t expect that since Cole looked fairly young and seemed to still be in college so it was a surprise to her. However, this didn’t change her attitude with them, rather it felt she had gotten softer with the two.
“I want to get her overalls! And all sorts of little bows! And ribbons!”
Felicia seemed to be very on board with the idea and couldn’t help but talk about all her plans while the attendant led them to the child clothing section.
“Ribbon…”
What Felicia said put an idea in Cole’s head.
“Hm? What was that?”
“It was nothing. Let’s split up for a bit and then come back here.”
And that they did. It didn’t take too long for them to come back and it only took 15 to at most 30 minutes. Felicia had brought a cart with at least five outfits for Eva. As for Cole, he mostly got hats or accessories.
They paid for all of the items they had chosen and split the bags between them. Cole said that he could carry all of them but Felicia insisted that she was fine so he let her be.
“Feli, stay still for a bit.”
Before Felicia could respond, Cole brought out something from his pocket and started playing with Felicia’s hair for a bit. His hands were quick and nimble and had formed a nice little simple yet fancy princess-like hairstyle with a braid included.
And to serve as the cherry on top, he added a lilac bow with a pearl located at the centre. Cole thought that it suited Felicia and looked very cute.
“What did you… Oh! This is pretty nice! The bow’s super cute too!”
Felicia pulled out a hand mirror and saw Cole’s work. He felt relieved that he was able to put a smile on her face today.
Cole believed that smiles suited everyone best. It didn’t matter who they are or where they came from, a natural and genuine smile made them shine thousands of time brighter. And whenever a frown appeared, it would make them look not uglier but…
Just sadder.
And Cole didn’t want such faces to appear on the people he came to know by transmigrating here.
“Hey, Feli…”
“What?”
Felicia put away the hand mirror and turned to face Cole. It was then he did something that Felicia didn’t expect. It was something that his grandmother had ingrained into him.
He did a full bow.
“Thank you for taking very good care of Eva. I don’t want to talk like I actually know anything, but it was probably very hard for you considering how young you were during those times.”
“Eh??? What’s this all of a sudden?”
Felicia wasn’t sure how to respond with the sudden change of attitude. She didn’t mind it since Eva was her kid too and she had already known what she was getting herself into from the very start.
“I just want you to know that…”
Cole raised his head and thought of how he should properly word this. He didn’t want to make a sudden mistake and let Felicia get the wrong idea.
“I don’t mind that you have or will have certain relations with other women.”
Felicia’s face couldn’t be easily described. It was partly guilty, part confused, one half confused, maybe one-fourth embarrassed? and a lot of other things. But Cole didn’t have the ability to comment on her face right now, he was still wondering how he should say the thing he wanted to say.

“If I tell you that you should cherish yourself more or don’t just devalue yourself or something like that, I feel like I’ll just sound like I’m making lip service.”
He put his hand at his neck, looking a bit awkward. Noticing a fountain they could sit near in the mall, he lead Felicia over to it while he gathered his thoughts.
“Well… Go on.”
“I can tell that you’re somewhat smart, in terms of EQ at least, and I know that you’ve probably read or maybe even experienced someone telling you stuff like that.”
“If that’s the only way you can feel ‘love’ with the ‘you’ right now, I can understand that.”
“So, I’ll do my best to make sure you’ll be able to feel love another way.”
Felicia stood there faced with Cole’s earnest gaze. She realized that she had started to like this part of him. He wasn’t a person who had become completely cold and wanted to be able to do things the right way. He wanted to be able to do his best for the people around him.
And Felicia thought that that was a nice thing to have. She still knew that this could secretly be just another mask or facade, she was willing to go along with it. Cole still had an anxious and serious expression on his face.
Felicia couldn’t stop the small grin that had started to form on hers.
Just that was enough to ease Cole’s furrowed brows. She extended out her hand and gladly said…
“Let’s continue on with this date, shall we?”
