The Whole World Thinks I’m a Woman Disguised as a Man - CH 12.2

Duan Wenzheng gladly sat down. His eyes landed on Xue Lan’s account on the screen which had to make up for the online time because of leveling up too fast.
“You played well as an assaulter.”
The sudden praise made Xue Lan a little stunned, but his brows did not rise. Duan Wenzheng continued:
“This kind of playing skill can’t only come naturally, how long have you played?”
Alarm bells rang in Xue Lan’s heart.
He figured Duan Wenzheng’s sudden visit was not so simple. Sure enough, he accompanied him to play for such a long time today not without a reason. Dawn of the Apocalypse’s different game professions could only be played using different accounts, and the original Xue Lan always played on the medic account. If Duan Wenzheng asked him, how did he play as an assaulter before, why he secretly practiced as an assaulter, which account he used…
“Whose account did you play on?”
“!!!”
He knew it!!
So Duan Wenzheng came to question him.
He shouldn’t think he played as an assaulter because of Wen Yan or even used Wen Yan’s account to play right…
Xue Lan calmed down. He turned away and feigned composure. “On…a rented account from Moubao.”
“Oh?” Duan Wenzheng was surprised. “Quite clever…”
“En??”
“Remember to share the shop with me.”
“En.”
Xue Lan was jittery under his gaze but revealed no expression on his face.
But Duan Wenzheng’s gaze never left him. Those smiling eyes watched Xue Lan become more uneasy. Xue Lan looked away. “All the best with the match, I’ll wait for you at the training camp.”
“Mm.” Duan Wenzheng casually asked, “Will you come to watch the match?”
Xue Lan quickly answered, “I will.”
Duan Wenzheng nodded and continued, “All the best to whom?”
“You!” Xue Lan’s eyes were filled with genuine. “You’ll be the champion of the individual match for sure. I’ll go to cheer on you, and I’ll wait for you at the training camp.”
“Alright.” Duan Wenzheng stood up and looked at Xue Lna who was standing as if he were a student answering his teacher. The smile in his eyes deepened. “Then you have to cheer me on well.”
His tone was frivolous, making Xue Lan feel as if there was an invisible force pulling him nearer. Xue Lan quickly lowered his head to avoid Duan Wenzheng’s gaze and drew back.
Duan Wenzheng glanced at his retreating step. Amused, he took a step closer.
“Why hide?”
Duan Wenzheng slightly distanced himself from his evasive gaze.
This person in front of him who would go red the moment he was teased and the person who hit each target with every shot in the game gradually coincided. The one in the game often operated breathtakingly making one astonished, but in reality, he was so soft he would go red after Duan Wenzheng said a few words. It really made him unconsciously want to bully him.
Duan Wenzheng was thinking of saying something when the phone in his pocket suddenly rang.
He glanced at the caller ID and accepted the call.
“Zheng-ge, you’re at the home page of the game forum again!!” Pang Zi’s excited voice came through the phone. “The whole game forum now is mad at you for treating the lower levels so tragically!! You guys are famous again! How awesome!!”
“You can have this kind of ‘honor’ next time if you want.”
Xue Lan pulled the distance between them wider as Duan Wenzheng was answering the call. Only then did he feel relieved.
But Duan Wenzheng suddenly extended his hand and grabbed his wrist.
Xue Lan held his breath, struggling to pull his hand out.
It was futile.
He got it. Duan Wenzheng definitely…noticed something, and came to assassinate him!!
Xue Lan continued to struggle against that firm hold on his wrist. Duan Wenzheng held his phone while casually watching his struggle. He looked as if he wanted to quickly hang up the phone, afraid the person beside him would run.
But he hadn’t used much strength, yet Xue Lan’s wrist had turned red.
Surprised, Duan Wenzheng released his hand.
The instant he released his hand, Xue Lan ran away.
Duan Wenzheng thought he was angry, but saw him run with a red face to the bed to…make the bed.
Duan Wenzheng laughed.
On the phone, Pang Zi sounded hello a few times but still did not hear a reply. He doubtfully asked again:
“Zheng-ge, didn’t you say you’ll get the barbecue at the supermarket for me and Lao Qi? Why aren’t you back yet?”
How could there be a “just passing by” excuse? Xue Lan’s house and the supermarket were in different directions from the internet cafe.
“I have something to do, I won’t go back tonight.” Duan Wenzheng glanced at the figure who was making the bed earnestly. His lips curved up. “You should also go on a diet, don’t eat it anymore.”
“???”
Duan Wenzheng hung up the phone and his gaze returned to Xue Lan.
“My bed is a bit small and I only have one blanket. We can squeeze for tonight,” Xue Lan said as he looked at him. His expression had calmed again. “After I go to the training camp tomorrow, you can sleep however you want.”
“Oh?” Duan Wenzheng’s gaze settled on his person. “Sleep however I want?”
Xue Lan paused, but as he carefully thought about it he felt these words were nothing improper.
After pondering about it, he nodded.
Duan Wenzheng looked at his confused expression. There was an incomprehensible dark light in his eyes. “Then I’ll remember it.”
Xue Lan was puzzled as to what he was referring to. Duan Wenzheng sat on the gaming chair, and as if recalling something, he said:
“But you’re mistaken about something, I’ll go to the semi-profesisonal tournament, but…”
The smile in his eyes was frivolous—
“I’m also going to the training camp tomorrow.”
