The Wife of Hades - Chapter 150
He narrowed his eyes, wondering who the person was. It seemed like a woman. Was it An Luxia? The woman stopped next to a tree and that’s when he was able to clearly recognize who the person was.
Shen Liya!
Mo Siyan stopped shooting as he gaped at her in awe, watching as she handed something to someone behind the tree, who he soon recognized to be Mo Han.
—
Shen Liya ran towards Mo Han, seeing him behind a tree with An Luxia.
“I found it,” she said, handing him the container.
“You are sure this is the cure,” Mo Han said, taking the pill out and giving it to An Luxia, who swallowed it immediately without waiting for an answer.
Shen Liya watched her and nodded, “It has to be. This is the only pill I found.”
“Thank you,” Mo Han and An Luxia said at the same time as they focused their attention on the battlefield once again. It was evident which side was winning. Mo Siyan seemed to notice as well as he saw as his last three men who stood next to him shot and then fell down onto the ground.
After the final people were killed, Mo Han’s men retreated, not sure if they should kill Mo Siyan as well or not.
Mo Han and An Luxia walked out from the tree, and Mo Han immediately ordered, “Put the gun down.”
However, Mo Siyan’s attention was not on Mo Han or An Luxia right now.
“You betrayed me!” Mo Siyan screamed at Shen Liya in shock, unable to believe it. He trusted her the most! “How could you betray me?! I am your uncle!”
Shen Liya scoffed, stepping forward and drawing the distance in with Mo Siyan as she loaded her gun, “My uncle? Well then, uncle, I am sure you know that we have no biological relation with each other, right?”
Mo Siyan’s eyes widened as he stared at Shen Liya in surprise, “How – How. . . How do you know?”
He had been very careful to get rid of all evidence about this matter, because there was no way he could let Shen Liya know about the truth. How did she find out?! When did she find out?!
“I knew for a while now. Do you think I’m stupid?” Shen Liya continued to step forward, getting very angry at the talk of this, “I also know that my parents’ death wasn’t an accident!”
Hearing this, Mo Siyan fell back, unable to believe it. There is no way she knew! He got rid of all evidence! He did – except for the ones in his own possession to keep as a record.
Unable to believe it, Mo Siyan could only shake his head, “You. . . You. . . What are you talking about? Of course they died from a car accident! You saw it yourself! Shen Liya, what are you talking about?!”
Shen Liya laughed, “You think I don’t know that the car accident was caused by you?! You killed my parents!”
Hearing her say this, Mo Siyan’s face paled as he continued to fall back, his back pressed up against the wall of the building, “How did you find out?”
Shen Liya scoffed, grabbing on tightly to her gun as she smiled crookedly, “You don’t have to know about it now. All you have to know is that I know what you did, and it is time for you to pay for what you did.”
Seeing that she was about to kill him, Mo Siyan immediately screamed, “But don’t you want to know why I killed them?!”
Shen Liya froze, looking up at him. She did not know why he had killed her parents and brought her here, “Why?” Her curiosity took over her anger.
Mo Siyan laughed, “Your parents. . . They were dumb people! They kept on getting in my way. We were doing business back then. I was doing great! I cheated on other people and maybe broke a few laws, but it earned money!”
His expression turend serious, “But your dumb parents! They wanted to tell on me! They wanted to put me in jail! How could I let that happen? So. . . Of course, naturally, I killed them.”
Shen Liya’s eyes widened as she heard Mo Siyan continue, “And for you. . . I didn’t really care. However, I had lost my only kid -” He turned to look at Mo Han, “And I saw you. Although you were a girl, at least there was a chance. So, I took you in.”
“And no!” He suddenly raised his voice, “Now you want to betray me?! How could you betray me! I am your uncle, and I raised you! You heartless b****!” After saying this, Mo Siyan suddenly raised the gun he had been hiding behind his back this entire time.
It was too fast for Shen Liya to react as she had still been caught up in the story Mo Siyan had just told her. However, she was still trained, and she also lifted her gun up when she saw his movement from the corner of her eye, but she was a second too late.
Mo Siyan pulled the trigger a second earlier and the bullet immediately flew into Shen Liya’s chest, which pushed her back and her shot tilted the to the side, landing in Mo Siyan’s right arm.
“Ah,” Shen Liya groaned as she fell back, blood immediately bursting out from her chest as she fell down onto the forest ground. Mo Siyan was also flung back by the impact of the shot, and the gun flew out of his arm and landed on the ground behind him, hitting the building.
Seeing this, all of Mo Han’s people held their gun up, but Mo Han lifted his arm, stopping them. An Luxia gasped at this sight and she immediately ran over to Shen Liya, grabbing onto her, lifting her upper body up from the ground, “Shen Liya!”
An Luxia could not say that she forgave her, but after all, she did save her just now, and An Luxia could not just watch her die like this, under the hand of Mo Siyan, who supposedly was her uncle until this whole dramatic scene right now.
Blood was still flowing out like a running faucet and An Luxia pressed her lips tightly together, trying not to run away from the sight, “Liya, hold on!”
Even though Shen Liya had made mistakes, she ultimately decided to come back. It would be too cruel for her to just die like this after everything that had happened to her.
Mo Han walked over to his father, holding his gun out at him. He made sure to go over to Mo Siyan’s gun and kick it away from him to prevent him from grabbing it.
Mo Siyan was still suffering from the pain of the shot to his arm, and blood was also running down his arm, dirtying the grass beneath him.
Mo Han loaded the gun, and the sound immediately brought Mo Siyan to his senses as he looked up, surprised to see the empty hole pointing straight at his forehead. When he saw who it was, he immediately gasped:
“Mo Han, what are you doing?!”
Mo Han grinned, bending down next to him as he pressed the gunpoint onto Mo Siyan’s forehead, so he could feel the coldness of the gun against his skin.
Mo Siyan began shuddering at the feeling, as he was getting old as well and definitely did not want to die, “I’m your dad! You can’t kill me!”
He began pleading, his entire body shaking as he tried to fight but could not move, “Don’t kill me, Mo Han! Don’t kill me!”
Mo Han chuckled, rolling his eyes.
“Don’t kill me! I am your dad!” Mo Siyan continued to scream.
“Why didn’t you think that you were my dad when you forced me to make a decision?” Mo Han glared at him, “You should have known. . . right?”
Mo Siyan shook his head, and he closed his eyes, looking like he was not doing anything, but in reality, his left arm was digging inside his pocket. Suddenly, in a blink of an eye, he pulled out a knife from nowhere.
However, Mo Han had an unusually quick reaction, and he quickly moved aside so the knife only slid down his right arm, cutting a gash through his shirt and into his skin.
“Argh,” he moaned, keeping the gun up against Mo Siyan’s forehead as he reached a leg out and quickly kicked the knife out of Mo Siyan’s hand, who screamed in pain from the kick.
Hearing the sound, An Luxia looked up and gasped when she saw the blood coming from Mo Han, “Mo Han!”
Mo Han kept his eyes on Mo Siyan as he replied, “Don’t worry, I’m okay.”
The anger had completely filled Mo Han’s eyes by now, and Mo Siyan knew that pleading would do him no good by now.. There was a loud bang that filled the air as Mo Siyan let out his last breath and closed his eyes forever.
