The Wife of Hades - Chapter 160
Before long, the time had flown by and the wedding day had arrived.
The wedding was to be held at a cliff near the beach, and you could hear the sound of the waves crashing against the shore not too far away.
On the cliff, there was a flat plain of colorful flowers, swaying in the gentle spring wind as they shot upwards towards the bright sun on this beautiful first day of spring.
Inside a room not too far away from where the chairs and everything was set up, An Luxia looked at her reflection in the mirror and frowned.
“It’s still very big,” she exclaimed, placing one hand over her stomach. She had not expected for her stomach to get so big in merely one month, but it was visible underneath the large wedding dress already.
The wedding dress was gigantic, like a princess ball gown, spreading outwards onto the ground. Embroidered on the bottom of the dress were hundreds of flowers, hand sewn onto fall into the colorful flowers on the ground underneath her feet as she walked towards Mo Han.
For the beauty, the waist area was pulled in, so her eye-catching stomach was quite obvious underneath the dress..
An Luxia sighed and sat down, letting the makeup artist finish up her makeup as she looked at herself in the mirror with a smile on her face.
Although she had been legally married for almost two years already, it still felt like she was just getting married! The whole ceremony of a wedding, with everyone here to witness it, made her heart run faster than a deer as she felt like she was getting married all over again, or for the first time.
The makeup artist finished the makeup and went away, leaving An Luxia in the room with Yu Xinyi, one of her bridesmaids.
Yu Xinyi walked over to her, her eyes sparkling as she sat down next to An Luxia, “Why do I feel like you are just getting married even though you have technically been married for over a year already?”
An Luxia chuckled, “Me too.”
Yu Xinyi wore a light pink dress that flowed in the wind, her hair and makeup also done. An Luxia looked at her and smiled, “So. . . when are you and my brother going to get married?”
Yu Xinyi immediately pursed her lips out embarrassedly, looking away, “I don’t know. . . He hasn’t proposed to me yet.”
An Luxia smirked and raised one eyebrow, standing up as she straightened her dress, “Is it time soon?”
“I’ll go out and look.” Yu Xinyi made her way to the door but before she could pull it open, a worker came in and told them that it was time for the bride to get ready.
An Luxia felt her heartbeat speed up as she walked out of the room and to the area to await her entrance. Everyone here today were close friends or people they knew, but she was still scared.
It was a small-scale wedding, not grand like the ones she often wrote about in her romance novels. It was on a small plain of flowers with less than 50 guests, but it was exactly what An Luxia wanted and with the person she wanted.
An Ping was also waiting in the back, waiting to walk down the aisle with his beloved daughter. An Luxia wrapped her arm around her dad when she arrived, smiling at him as she noticed that there were tears in his eyes.
A wedding really hit different. . . Even though they had been married for a long time already, there were no tears in her dad’s eyes when she told him she had gotten the marriage certificate. Maybe it was because he didn’t really believe her.
However, now at the wedding, he was more emotional than when she had actually gotten married legally.
The worker came back and nodded, and An Luxia grasped onto the bouquet of flowers tightly as she walked around and entered the venue. Her eyes immediately landed on Mo Han, who was standing not too far away from her, waiting at the end of the flowers.
There was a path in the middle of all the flowers, just wide enough for her to walk through as her dress brushed against the colorful dots on the grass.
Mo Han looked at her and his eyes immediately softened as he straightened his back, waiting for her to walk over. However, it seemed to be a very long time as she walked slowly, taking her time with her father as she neared him one step at a time.
All the guests turned to look at her, and she could see from the corner of her eye her mother also crying as she watched her.
An Luxia put on a smile as she stepped on the floor, getting closer and closer until she finally came to a stop in front of Mo Han, the sound of the waves crashing against her ears.
Her father looked at Mo Han and then at her before letting go of her hand and sitting back down in the chairs.
An Luxia looked up at Mo Han, a sparkle of happiness and amusement in her eyes as they looked at each other, both smiling.
The marriage officiant began speaking, reading off of his script as the two of them took their vows. Then, Yu Xinyi and An Yuchen came up, holding a cushion with a ring resting on each one.
An Luxia took hers first and then grabbed onto Mo Han’s hand, slipping the masculine ring onto his finger. Mo Han admired the sparkling ring for a moment before then taking An Luxia’s ring and gently taking her hand, slipping the ring on, which fit perfectly.
Against the spring sun, the diamond ring sparkled, shining its light onto everyone that had come today to witness the love of An Luxia and Mo Han.
An Luxia smiled as she looked up, just in time for the wedding officiant to say to Mo Han, “You may now kiss the bride!”
The audience broke into applause as Mo Han wrapped his arm around An Luxia’s waist, pulling her in as he gently pressed his lips against hers, kissing her passionately as he loosened his arm slightly to avoid putting pressure on her stomach.
An Luxia smiled as she proudly returned his kiss, placing her hand onto his chest.
This was her husband!
The waves seemed to also be clapping as it slapped against the shore and the bottom of the cliff, but no one could hear it under the screaming love between the groom and bride right now.
An Ping and Qi Lanyu looked at their daughter and son-in-law with tears filling their eyes, clapping slowly as they watched their daughter get married.
Everyone in the audience couldn’t take their eyes off of the couple, who seemed to be a match made in heaven. It was a love that they all longed for. . .
But love is not something to be chased after. Just like the beginning of An Luxia and Mo Han’s story, it has always been perfectly right. . . The both of them running towards each other to make this love a reality.
The perfect relationship in the eyes of others is never just there. It is something created by both parts of the relationship, something that An Luxia and Mo Han have created together, and will last forever.
Like how the wedding is the beginning of all marriages, this was just the beginning for the King of the Underworld and the wife of Hades. . .
