The Witchs Rebirth - Chapter 139 A cafe
I didn’t call Phi. I waIk out onto the street taking my time. I watch the normals live their blissful life.
A father was taking his daughter and dog for a walk, and old couples joined hands, looking at the trees. People who just got of work passing by going somewhere. Having love one and a purpose.
My phone beep and it was more bad news. Good old crazy manage to close one deal and it was for sleep magic from a sand man descent. It would seem that being a contractor was harder than I thought. In the future, I inherited accounts from Dad so I didn’t start from the ground up. It was going to require a bit more effort than I expected.
I look at the closing shops and paused. A name I would never forget appeared before me.
— “The Boss Cafe” —
This name was famous in the future for the worst tragedy in all history. All that power and still not enough.
The shop sign was arranged one by one with separate letters. A modern shop with a white plastic fence and benches for sitting.
Inside to the right was two table for two. To the left was a long counter with long glass tower of dripping liquid. There were prices for coffee tea and cakes. But it wasn’t what made “Boss cafe” famous.
The who behind the store was an old fortune teller called MEE. She had fortold many things including her boss tragic love story.
“Excuse me, would you like to come in and have a reading or make an order?”
While I was walking down memory lane, a girl appeared.
It was a girl with an abnormally waxy complex and gold eyes. She was dressed in a black gold lace Gothic maid costume gave off the aura of a morbid beauty.
This was the famous MEE. I tried to recall more about her but couldn’t. So she should be rather old.
“I’ll have your signature tea please.”
The slim girl served Luo Qiu a cup of earl grey tea with ice cream. It was the best drink in all of three realms.
“What can I do for you?.”
I looked up from my drink; and saw a tidy and neatly-dressed middle-aged man with dark eyes. I laugh.
“I want power,” I answered subconsciously.
Both the boss and MEE were powerful and always willing to make a deal.
In response the boss smiled slightly and said, “Power is always in demand, I have plenty of options and opportunities for you.”
I could not believe he would say such a thing, so I asked: “Price?”
Deals were always tricky. The most important were the conditions. But I always talk price first as it weeds out problems.
The boss smiled and said: “The price is an equivalent exchange. If you please take out something you feel worthy in exchange for it. We don’t accept any form of currency but you already knew that don’t you?”
I look at my arm and saw the marking. I forgot. It would seem that I always lose to the boss-man. Then again he had centuries on me in terms of dealing and selling.
“What are you willing to pay for power?”
With a smile on his face, the boss sat there quietly and looked at me with extreme confidence. I could not help but smirk. This once I was going to get the better deal.
“In formation in exchange for your accounts.” I said placing my hands,
I was showing his mark to him. I had no ill will and this was my way of paying him back and getting back at him.
“Dear guest. That is a fair trade.” the boss tone was mild but you could see his excitment,
“And the Cafe for solution.” I added,
This was my closing act. I rather taking it all. The man needed all the help he could get. Finding a mate is the joyest thing that could happen to a male. Losing her makes you the most pitiful male ever especially when you are as powerful as the Boss.
“Well, that’s a bit…”
I look into his eyes and smirk.
