A soft, jade-green halo began to undulate from the root of her tail, then moved backwards and gathered at the tip of her tail. In a flash of jade-green light, small, jade-green balls of light began to separate from one another as they slowly rising into the air. This was her spiritual origin where her consciousness and power were stored. At the same time, the Ice Jade Empress Scorpion’s eyes dimmed.

After losing her spiritual origin, the Ice Jade Empress Scorpion’s main body fell to the ground. With her spiritual origin no longer controlling it, her body immediately began to release an extremely terrifying amount of murderous might, while a jade-green l.u.s.tre simultaneously appeared in the sky of Yuhao’s mindscape. It could be imagined how terrifying the Ice Jade Empress Scorpion was from this.

The scorpion since she made her decision spurned the absorption to happen, “Absorb my torso spirit bone first Yuhao, then fuse with my essence as your first spirit ring for the FrostFire spirit.”

The scorpion’s suggestion was already predicted by Yuhao, so he didn’t mind. Yuhao nodded in reply before getting ready.

The Ice Empress’ voice rang out, “This is going to be very painful for you however I am unable to numb your pain with my cold element due to your spirits passive abilities and bloodline. Your body isn’t fully developed yet due to your age, so I’ll have to be extremely careful while fusing with your skeleton. Because of this, this process will go on for a very long time. For the sake of attaining maximum effectiveness, you can’t pass out. The only way I can make a few adjustments based on your body’s instinctive reactions is if you remain conscious.”

A jade-green light flourished in Huo Yuhao’s mind, and his Spirit Eyes instantly turned jade-green accordingly. The Skydream Iceworm appeared to have gone completely silent, allowing the Ice Empress to carry out the fusion process.

Two rays of jade-green light shot out from Huo Yuhao’s eyes, accurately landing on the Ice Jade Empress Scorpion’s body. Though Huo Yuhao had already prepared himself for the arrival of this pain, he was still a human! In that exact moment, a golden wave of light suddenly spread out inside Yuhao’s mental sea as it protected it from any damage absorbing the four-hundred-thousand-year-old soul bone could bring. This light was generated through the combined efforts of Daydream and Amra.

As this occurred, Huo Yuhao’s chest started moving up and down vigorously as he began to sweat enormously. He greedily gasped for the surrounding cold air in big mouthfuls. As he began breathing, traces of jade-green light were slowly pouring into his spine, spreading throughout his torso. The first place the jade-green light went to was naturally his spine. After that, the liquefied jade-green light slowly made its way upwards, causing Huo Yuhao’s ribs to turn into branches of jade-green light. In the beginning, the jade-green lights were merely fine strands of energy that covered his spine, sternum, and ribs. As time passed, however, these strands of jade-green light started gradually expanding and widening, creating an outline of Huo Yuhao’s entire skeleton.

Day became night, and night became day again. The jade-green light on Huo Yuhao’s body was becoming increasingly intense while the energies and blood within Huo Yuhao’s body started becoming stronger and stronger. Though the Ice Jade Empress Scorpion had only fused a small part of her energy with Huo Yuhao’s energy and blood at the moment, it was an extremely beneficial supplement to him. This energy helped to supplement all of the strengthening that Yuhao’s bloodline provided, as well as his cultivation technique.

The final two agonizing hours slowed passed, and the alternating jade-green and dark green gradually stabilised. Finally, the colour of Huo Yuhao’s bones ended up an abstruse golden green that was a mix between the Ice Jade Empress Scorpion’s shell and Amra’s fur. There was also a change in the 9-Tailed Fox Tails spirit bone, as the scorpion essence mutated the bone to allow the tips of each tail to morph into scorpion-like stingers.

With the fusion of soul bone complete, the Ice Jade Empress only had to convert her power into a spirit ring for Yuhao. The two spirit beasts worked together to preserve the scorpion’s consciousness during this process. After a further two hours, the process was complete. As he absorbed the leftover energies in his body and spiritual sea, Yuhao’s cultivation pushed all the way to rank 30, as predicted.

Yuhao opened his eyes and retracted his conscious from his mindscape. As he still sat behind the rocks, he materialised his FrostFire tool spirit into his hand. With this, a deep red spirit ring appeared below him with 4 golden notches around its circ.u.mference. The skills provided by this spirit ring appeared in his mind. Yuhao had received the Ice Jade Empress’s two main skills which adapted to be used by the tool spirit. Firstly, the skill named Ice Empress’s Pincers which transforms the scythe blade into Ice Jade Empress Scorpion pincer that increases the sharpness of the blade considerably. The second skill is named Ice Jade Crystals that upon making a cut with the weapon, will release ice crystals into the wound that not only stops healing, but slows the target substantially.

Regarding, the torso bone that Yuhao had absorbed, it provided not only a permafrost death domain that freezes enemies within a certain range of the user, but also a skill named Ice Empress’ Wrath that releases an enormous amount of pressure on a target which will freeze them over time.

All in all, everyone supporting Yuhao’s rise to godhood and Yuhao himself, were very happy with the outcome.
