This Crayfish Is Not Edible - Chapter 228

Raijin roared out loud and shook off the cultivator that was clinging to his fur. He then threw a high voltage thunderbolt at him. The human were like ants to his size. He easily threw them all away. ‘I have to get to Felia?….I have to find her,’ was his only thought going on in his head. The seal on his belly suddenly activating and started restricting his spiritual energy.

‘No, I can’t…..I can’t lose my sense snow. I have to save Felia..save her and we…we have to live a happy life,’ he thought desperately as he leaned on the nearby building.

Taking his weakness as a chance, few cultivators rushed towards him and started throwing spells after another. Swords cut into his legs, making him topple.

“Brother Raijin!!” he had a vague scream in his ringing ears.

‘Young master Aotian…..I..Im losing strength….’ he thought as he glanced up at the worried-looking Long Aotian.

All of a sudden, a huge shadow covered his vision. He could see huge golden scales and red flame fill the sky, making the entire kingdom look like a volcano.

‘master…..master Ki….’ he thought aloud. His bond with his master weakened almost two months back. At first it was not noticeable, but as time went on, he was not able to feel his master’s presence. His master-servant seal also disappeared from his palm, indicating the end of their contract. ‘Master….did you forget about me…’ he thought desperately glancing at the huge red dragon.

“Raijin…I’ve wronged you. I should have searched for you long back….I’m so sorry…but I’m here now. so Hold on, I will save you,’ a sturdy voice whispered back in his mind just as he lost his consciousness.

The red dragon in the sky roared out loud and started descending rapidly. With its huge claws out stretched it snagged a few cultivators and tossed them up in the sky.

“Brother Ki!! Stop that. We should not kill humans,” Long Aotian shouted from the side, but all of his warnings were ignored. His brother went on a rampage. He knew that the situation was out of control now. He jumped down from the building and joined the ghoul in fighting the cultivators. With his brother in play, it was very easy for them to knock the silly humans out.

“Your highness I can take care here. Go see to your friend. he does not look okay,” the ghoul shouted.

Aotian nodded at him and dashed back to the unconscious silver wolf. “Brother Raijin,” he whispered, patting his matted fur. The huge beast did not move or give him any indication of life. In fear, he injected his spiritual energy into his body. ‘His meridians are badly damaged and the bloody seal. It’s locking his consciousness down,’

He swiftly increased his spiritual energy inside his body towards the red seal inside. As if feeling him, the seal started to retaliate. It did not deal with him rather its spiritual energy went out of control damaging Raijin’s meridians and veins even more.

Long Aotian pulled back his spiritual energy and panted. The cursed hand stuck to his back was gobbling his spiritual energy faster than he had expected. It had already grown into a full grown cursed baby blabbering gibberish next to his ear. ‘I have to remove this,’ he glanced up at his brother and shouted, “Ki, throw a flame ball at me,”

The huge red dragon was puzzled for a second, yet still it blew out a small flame ball towards him.

As the ball approached him Long Aotian turned back, exposing the black baby stuck to his body. The attack landed, almost burning his shoulders off.

Seeing this, the huge dragon groaned and growled out loud, glaring his way.

“Its fine brother. It’s not that bad,” Aotian whispered, caressing his aching shoulders. The baby was completely incinerated by the flame. If it was ordinary flame, it would not have done any damage. Since it was the heavenly flame from a dragon, it instantly burned the cursed baby. Aotian swiftly circulated his spiritual energy in his body, healing his wounds instantaneously.

After doing so, he dashed over to the unconscious Raijin and tried to stop the seal from expanding. But the bloody seal was resisting too much hurting Raijin in its wake. ‘Why is this seal so hard to control? With my brother’s seal in place, it is not possible for it to have so much control over Raijin’s body,’ he thought anxiously.

His spiritual energy roamed inside his body. Slowly like a little wind it swept thought all his organs and meridians, but he was not able to find Long Ki’s master-servant seal. ‘What the hell!! Why is there no mark on him?’

Aotian glanced up at the roaring dragon. “brother…Ki, why doesn’t brother Raijin have your seal?” he shouted out loud.

The dragon that was on a rampage paused. With tears in its eyes, it glanced down at the huge silver wolf.

With just the look on his brother’s face, Aotian knew that things were not as it seems. ‘My stupid brother broke the seal…. shit, then it’s going to harder to deal with this,’

As he was inspecting Raijin’s body again, the wolf woke up. Its heavy eye lid, blinked open and glanced down at Long with its blank grey eyes.

“Brother Raijin. It’s good that you are awake. Keep your consciousness…” Aotian paused. The eyes that were staring back at him was not the friendly Raijin he knew ….. Rather it was the eyes of a predator. ‘Did he lose his consciousness already?’

Long Aotian stepped back to a safe distance and glanced at him. The huge silver wolf struggled to stand up. Its shin beading profusely his tummy in shreds, but it was standing like a mighty beast. it was glancing down at everyone with its expressionless eyes.

“He lost consciousness,” Aotian murmured, pulling the ghoul away from the mighty wolf.

“Your highness, did you try to suppress the seal?” the ghoul whispered anxiously.

“I tried, it did not work. His spiritual energy is too volatile right now. If I prod too much, it might affect Brother Raijin’s cultivation.”

The huge silver wolf stood up tall and shook the blood dripping off of its body. Glancing up at the sky it howled loudly, bringing down hundreds of thunder bolts.

‘Raijin!! Come back to your senses!’ Long Ki shouted to his mind, but all he got back in reply was a loud growl. The beast in Raijin had awoken. The chances of his trusted friend returning were getting slimmer by the minute.

Long Ki swiftly changed back into his human form and jumped down. Watching him decent few silly/brave humans tried to attack him. Without any reserve, he hit them unconscious with his claws.

“Aotian, what is going on? Ii thought you were taking care of his seal,” he shouted out loud, gripping onto his brother’s lapels.

“I tried..the seal…. its too powerful. It almost looks like a demon compressing seal. I was not able to deal with it,” Aotian guiltily said. He glanced at his naked brother and handed him his coat.

Long Ki scoffed and strode confidently in his natural form. His muscles ripple under the red flames sky. He was like a predator himself.

The surrounding human cultivators all watched him in awe.

But Ki did not bother with them. He directly dashed towards the wolf and jumped gently onto its snout. “Raijin!! Come back right now! I order you,” he shouted.

The wolf glanced at him with gold, grey eye and wiggled his head, throwing him off into air. As he was falling, the wolf opened its mouth wide and tried to take a bite out of him.

Aotian jumped forward and saved his dazed looking brother from his jaws. “Brother Ki,…its getting dangerous. He has lost his senses now….he….he might never return,” he whispered, hugging his brother tightly.

“shut your bloody mouth. Raijin will come back!! He will!!” he shouted and shrugged him off. Again he slowly approached the haughty looking wolf. “It’s me, your friend Long Ki, do you not recognise me? I’m so sad. Raijin, come back. I need you, my friend. Come back to us,” he whispered softly.

The wolf quizzically tilted its head and gazed at him.

“that’s right? Do you remember? When you were young, you used to always follow me around. We used to throw cockroaches in my mother’s bed. We used to be such brats.” Long Ki chuckled softly. But the wolf still had a cold look on its face.

Sighing, Ki continued, “don’t you remember brother, we used to secretly swim in the river of forgetfulness. After getting home, both of us got our ass spanked by our father. And, do you remember the time Aotian hatched? He was just a wee little thing. Crawling around like a snake. You thought he was worm and bit him.”

Aotian’s eyes twitched listening to this. He had always had a mysterious scar on his back. When he was young, he had asked his brother about it. Ki told him that it was because he fell off the bed when he was young. ‘Looks like both Ki and Raijin played with me too roughly.’

Meanwhile, Long Ki narrated all their dark history aloud. Even some human cultivators were interested in his story. They all paused their attack and observed them carefully.

Even after two hours, the wolf did not show any signs of consciousness. Long Ki softly sobbed. “Raijin, my brother. Have I lost you forever? Why won’t you reply? Are you angry with me because I broke our seal? I broke it because I want you to be by my side as an equal nit as a servant or as a slave. So please, come back my friend..” His words ended up in a loud sob as he watched the blank-looking wolf.
