This Crayfish Is Not Edible - Chapter 234
“LET ME OUT!” Yukiya shouted once again. The ghoul outside sighed. “Young miss, I can’t deactivate this shield. Only your man can do that. Please don’t make me repeat myself,” he whispered kindly.
“Repeat my ass. You bullshit. Open this right now or call that bastard here I will knock some sense into him,” Yukiya glare at him.
The ghoul sighed deeply. “I’m helpless. Even I’m not sure where he is,’
“Then go find him. I need him here right now. How dare that bastard trap me here?”
“But he did it for your own safety,”
“Safety? I don’t need that. I’m a sky level cultivator. It’s not like I’m useless fiddle. I can take care of myself VERY WELL,” Yukiya shouted, banging the shield loudly. All of a sudden she felt something soft nudge her leg. She glanced down to see her little egg nudging her softly. She picked him up and caressed his dry surface. “Baby, it’s time to g back to your incubator,” she whispered and placed the reluctant egg inside the bowl.
The ghoul watched this curiously. He turned away and whispered, “You do know that the mers will come for that egg, right? They are very protective of their young. I suggest you let the child safely at the place you found him,”
“he came from MY stomach! You suggest for me to put him back? I can’t believe this is happening. First, my stupid lover leaves me here in a stupid shield while my son is out there missing. And here, another stupid guy is preaching about my OWN EGG!” she shouted and carefully bathed her child in water. The egg soaked in until its outer layer became soft and supple.
Yukiya glanced up to find the guy curiously peering at her. “What!!”
“Nothing….I was thinking how bad of a liar you were. Tsk, tsk, how can you birth a mer? It’s physically impossible,” he said, glancing at her pitifully.
“I don’t care if you believe me or not. Go bring my lover here right now,” she said with her eye narrowed.
“I can’t. My highness ordered me to stay put next to you until he returns,” the ghoul said decisively and squatted next to the shield. “And for your information mers lost the ability to change into human form long ago that’s why they have been rarely seen. Next time you decide to lie at least research your topic beforehand,”
Yukiya gritted her teeth loudly. It took all of her energy not to Yeet something at his stupid face. ‘LONG KI…..you are in so much trouble. You better find my son and come back or else…or else…’ she sighed loudly. ‘It’s not like I can hit him or something. I can’t ever be mean to his cute puppy dog face. Agh, I’m a wimp,’
“hey?”
The ghoul glanced at her questionably.
“How do you know so much about the mers?”
“Me? Cuz I’m ten thousand years old. Didn’t your lover say so?” the ghoul said with a proud expression.
Yukiya scoffed. “You don’t look it. If you were ten thousand years, you either you would have become a prune or you six feet under,”
“I am dead. I’m a ghoul,” he said with a small smile.
“Now who is lying? I can identify a ghoul from miles away. You with your shimmering skin, tsk, tsk, tsk, youngsters nowadays don’t know how to lie at all,” Yukiya said with a small smirk. It felt so good using his own word against him. She softly hummed a tune and hugged her little egg closer.
The ghoul turned over and sat crossed leg opposite her. “I’m telling the truth, ‘sigh’ watch,”
“I don’t care,” Yukiya was focused on her jubilant egg when all of a sudden her child shuddered and jumped behind her. “What is wrong?” she hugged him closer to her bosom, yet her child was trebling violently. “What is it, baby?”
“I think he is most likely scared of me,” a hoarse voice whispered before her.
“How can he be afra….AHHHHH! what happened to your face!!!” Yukiya shouted glancing at his rotten face.
The ghoul sighed once again. He caressed the clay prosthetics and peered at her. “I was telling you the truth. I am indeed a ghoul. I was rescued by my highness a while ago. Back then, I didn’t have my memory but little by little I regained it all….being an undead….it’s not fun. Most of the time I stink. I have to use special perfumes to keep it in check. My jaw falls off all the time, so I have to control my words…. My life is not easy,” he sighed with his head down.
Yukiya watched him for a minute. She did not know what to say to him. After a few seconds, she scooted closer and whispered, “don’t mind me asking…… how did you die?”
The ghoul glanced up slightly but quickly put his rotten head down. “I was killed by the demon lord Icarus’s. No, he was the direct cause, but my death was indirectly caused by the schemes of the royal dragons,”
“Long Ki’s family?”
“His ancestors. They were too divided in thoughts that they formed factions. Ne supported Wei Long where other supported his uncle. I was Wei Long’s subordinate, so they got rid of me using a trap,” the ghoul sighed ruefully.
Yukiya remained silent. She softly caressed the shield and front of her and sighed. “Don’t worry. You are still alive for a reason. That reason is what was keeping you alive. When you find that out, your soul will finally find its end.”
“My reason was to serve his highness. So I will stay beside him when he needs me. I will lay down my life for him and his family. That’s why…that’s why I can’t break his order….sorry,” he softly whispered and placed his jaw on. It creaked softly but the clay stayed in place.
Yukiya nodded. “I understand. But…can you tell me what is up with my son? Who is his lover? What does he do? Why did he lose him? Why did he put him in a risky spot? He should have protected him like the apple of his eyes. How dare he risk my child like that,” she shouted all of a sudden.
“Please….one at a time. I didn’t get the rest of your questions, but highness Long Aotian is the lover of Master Xia. Both are connected by heart and soul. Their love transcends time and…..”
“BULLSHIT! That guys name is AOTIAN, huh? Wait… is he…is he Long Ki’s brother?”
“Indeed, he is,” the ghoul said with a side smile.
Yukiya lost her smile. She glanced down at her child and then at the ghoul. “This is not happening…. My son is dating my lover’s brother? So he is what my son-in-law? Isn’t he my brother-in-law thought? This complicates our situation a lot,” she whispered softly, glancing at the silent egg in her hand.
“Then…my brother-in-law is dating my son. So is he my son-in-law now?”
The ghoul did not say anything. He silently gulped and wished for his master to get her soon.
“you…..isn’t that incest?” Yukiya whispered softly with tears in her eyes.
“n-no, I don’t think so. The long family had the tradition of marrying their cousins so it’s not frowned upon,” the ghoul tried to salvage the situation as much as he could.
Yukiya gasped. “so—so Long Ki comes from a long heritage of incest!!!!”
“Absolutely not. It’s not incest!” the ghoul shot up and glared at her.
“It IS incest!!! So many years of incest within the family ought to cause physical defects in children of the later generations…… Oh lord, will my child be healthy?” She cried loudly, hugging the incubator tightly in her lap.
While she was in an emotional crisis, Long Ki was facing another problem. “Aotian ‘achoo’ shall we search…. ‘achoo..’ the docks?”
Aotian glanced at him worriedly. “Are you sick, brother?” he paced the back of his palm on his forehead. “You don’t have a temperature, but why are you sneezing so many times?”
“I think my wifey is thinking about me too violently. Agh, so much love makes my blood boil,” Long Ki smirked like a love struck fool.
Aotian sighed. He walked over to the docks and searched all over. Yet still they were not able o find Xia anywhere.
“I wish I had a way to track him,” Aotian anxiously whispered, prancing around on the edge of the dock.
Long Ki frowned. “If not by scent, we could track him by something else. Does he have any enchantment on himself? Anything?”
“No….wait, he does have an enchantment. He has a small lotus mark on his forearm. He said that it was a mark placed by his mother to monitor him. Would we be able to track him with it?”
Long ki nodded. “Normally it is not possible, but with both our spiritual energy combine we might be able to find him,”
Aotian ran over to ham and held his shoulders. “Then what are you waiting for?”
“There is a drawback to this. We need to find the person who placed the enchantment on him. If they have the other mark, we might be easily able to track him,”
“What!!! Where will I find his mother now?” Aotian cried desperately.
