This Crayfish Is Not Edible - Chapter 238
The six followed after the nimble spider. It darted through many small crevices and small hole, but still they were able to easily follow along. It rushed past the streets and entered the docks. Only a huge ship was docked right in front of the planks.
“Xia…he must be in there,” Aotian cheerfully rushed over. But the spider stepped shyly away from the boat. It moved side by side and tried to jump on it.
With his sword, Aotian gently lifted it and placed it on the boat sides. It crawled up and into it.
They all followed it in. But the spider did not go down the deck, rather it ran across and climbed on the other side of the wooden boat. It anxiously moved side to side anxiously glancing at the open ocean.
Long Ki stepped forward and held onto his brother’s shoulders. “Xiao Tian, it looks like your lover was taken away through sea,”
Aotian growled at him and swiftly transformed into a dragon. His huge form expanded tenfold, almost covering the huge ship. He threw one glance their way and tried picking up the spider. But since his talons were too huge, he was not able to even touch it. The huge dragon huffed loudly and tried again.
Long Ki on the other hand was in shock. ‘He is gold, did he compete his thunder tribulation? But if he did, I would have felt it. How are his scales golden then?” he glanced at him quizzically. He then noticed something small, the underside of his brother’s body was completely covered with black scales. ‘So he did not go though the tribulation, rather he must have found some treasure. Ah, so nice. He is a power house now. With him, our realm does not have to worry about external forces,’ he thought with a small smile.
He stepped forward and softly patted his talons. “Xiao Tian, even if you fly there, you would not be able to carry the spider,”
The dragon glared straight into his eyes.
“Look, the spider, if it falls into water we might not be able to track Xia. And besides, you can’t fly forever, you need to stop for rest as well. So I suggest that we all will come by boat and you can have the vantage point from the sky. The spider will track from here and when his location his conformed, we can also help. Ne?” he softly whispered.
Aotian grunted and patted his shoulders.
“Good that you trust me,” Long Ki chuckled. He turned back and glanced at the four. “Is anyone here seas sick? You better strap on,”
Without waiting for an answer he jumped to the raised part of the deck and started manning the wheel. The sails were up high and the wind was in their favour. Even if not, they had a dragon to easily push them past the wide ocean.
The ghoul and Raijin both ran over to the side and pulled up the anchors. The ghoul glanced at him questionably. But both without a word worked together. “We are ready to sail,” he shouted.
Long Ki nodded at him and then glanced up at the sky. “Aotian, we are ready. You can fly now,”
Both the ship and a golden dragon stet out on a journey without any directions.
Long Ki blindly followed the direction in which the spider ran. Felia and Yukiya were in charge of taking care of the spider in case it got wet. They both created a small shield around it and conveyed the direction to Long Ki.
Felia hesitantly looked at Yukiya.
“What is it?” Yukiya whispered with a small smile.
“Um, what is that ball you carry? It’s very pretty,” she whispered, gesturing to the little red egg in her hand.
Yukiya laughed out loud. “This? This is not a ball, rather an egg. See, my little child is growing in here,” she gestured for her to come close.
Felia curiously peered inside the translucent layer. The red core inside had already formed into a fish’s tail. There was even a small heart beating strongly inside. “It’s a fish! How is it out of water? It’s so cute!” she exclaimed in glee. Animal enthusiast in her was more than happy to watch the pretty egg. But all of a sudden the egg rolled over towards her.
Shocked, she glanced around. The ship was slightly tilted to the right as it was going upstream the turbulent waves. ‘Maybe it was the ship,’ she thought as he gently caressed the egg. It vibrated under her fingers. ‘Eh. Why is it vibrating?’ she held it high above her head and glanced inside. The little fish was still silent. “Weird,” she mumbled and placed it back on the ground. But the egg suddenly jumped on her lap.
“AHH!” she shouted and crawled back away from it.
Hearing her scream, Yukiya and Raijin rushed to her. He gently held her shoulders. “What is it?”
“The egg….. it moved?” she questionably peered up at Yukiya.
Yukiya just waved her off. “It’s normal. This child is too naughty, he won’t sit still in a place. Always running around. I bet he takes after his father,” she grumbled, throwing glares at Long Ki.
Long Ki gave her an innocent smile and kissed the wind.
Yukiya coolly waved the air kisses away. ‘This bastard does not know how to repent. First, he left me there for a day and second, he misjudged that my baby Xia was dead. Huff, I really should beat his ass.” She glanced at him once more. Long Ki smirked at her and continued thrown air kissed. She swiftly faced away. “Why is he so cute thought?” She whispered with red cheeks.
Watching their display, Felia softly chuckled. She nudged Raijin’s shoulders and gestured their way. “we have to be in love like them,”
“Yes….wait, aren’t we already in love?” Raijin whispered back in shock.
Felia watched him wide eyed. “yaa, you still have to woo me. I am not that easy woman,” she huffed and walked away.
Raijin froze in spot. His lips quivered as he glanced at Yukiya, who gave him a pitiful glance. He suddenly bowed at her respectfully and whispered, “Please give me tips on how to woo my lover,”
“I—I really don’t know,” Yukiya awkwardly waved.
Long Ki saw this and softly laughed. “Raijin, come here. I will teach you how to make her fall in love,”
“Yes, master!!” he happily hopped away.
Felia pouted. She rushed back to Yukiya and held her hands softly. “Sister, why are men so stupid? If he had followed me and profusely said his love will would have accepted,” she said with a sad pout.
Yukiya patted her small shoulders and nodded. “As an elder I will give you some wise advice. Sit,” she pulled her down, and both unceremoniously sat on the deck with the little spider in the centre. “You know the famous saying, ‘men are like wine, they get mellow as they age,’?”
Felia nodded vigorously.
“Well, that’s a lie. Men don’t mature as they age, rather they turn into little children that need to be constantly coaxed. As years pass on you will get used to it,” Yukiya said close to her ears.
“But Raijin is not like that. He is mature and intelligent,” Felia refuted.
“aiya, I’m not talking about intelligence. In the matter of heart they are still children, so it is us who should take the initiative,” Yukiya said confidently.
“oh, I see,” Felia thoughtfully glanced at Raijin who was whispering something to Long Ki, “I guess he is still a puppy, hmmm,” she got up and patted her skirt and walked over to them.
“Felia, is everything okay…”
Felia pulled his lapels and dragged him down to her height. Standing on her toes, she gently touched their lips together. Her’s innocent and hesitant while his frozen in shock. she gently kissed him and let go. “You…I love you. So…. will you marry me and spend the rest of our lives together?” she said. Her face went red I embarrassment as he peered down at her. “Answer me will you. It took a lot of courage to come over here…”
Raijin gripped her waist tightly and pulled her up. Their bodies collided. He glanced into her doe like shining eyes intently. “yes, yes, let’s get married,” he shouted happily. All his life, the only thing he craved for was a family. Even though Long Ki took him in, he felt quite distant from his parents. His wish and prayer every night was to have a family of his own. Now…now he really might have one.
He gleefully twirled her around and let her down gently. “You…. you are my family now. We are family….” he whispered. “yes, come quick,” he pulled her over to Long Ki. “Master, she is asking for my hand in marriage please give permission,” he got on his knees.
Long Ki swiftly pulled him up and hugged him tight. “Silly Raijin, you are my family too. Why are you bowing so awkwardly?” He then gestured for Felia to come close.
With a blush, she stepped closer to Raijin.
“I hope you have a happy and fruitful marriage,” Long Ki whispered softly.
Felia and Raijin broke into tearful laughter.
