This Crayfish Is Not Edible - Chapter 241
The next day the blue-haired man brought in a bowl full of porridge with mushroom sauteed with vegetables. He placed the tray carefully on the table and shook the rolled up figure on the bed. “Hey it’s time to eat,”
Xia grumbled and rolled over to the other side. ‘As if I will eat his food. Darn it, I’m going to starve until he lets me out of here,’ he thought to himself, biting his nails. Right then a small growling sound was heard. ‘Stupid stomach, why did you have to deceive me now?’ he softly caressed his sunken tummy.
“I heard that. Now get up and eat,”
“No! You blue-haired man, get lost, I don’t even want to face you,” Xia shouted from within the blanket.
A soft sigh was heard nearby. “Will you eat if I leave?”
Xia did not bother answering. Soon that man’s footsteps retreated out and the door closed softly after him.
“Finally gone,” Xia pulled down his duvet and glanced around. Indeed, that man had left. He swiftly crawled over to the side table and carefully lifted the tray.
‘…..thank god it’s not fish anymore….White glutinous porridge smoking hot with mushroom that was sauteed golden, wah, what a wonderful aroma it has,’ his stomach growled from just that sight.
Swallowing his excessive spit, he dug in. The porridge was mild with a small amount of salt. The sauteed mushroom and carrot went so well with it. After starving for days, it felt like a king’s meal. He relished each spoonful. “What a wonderful taste…” he caressed his bloated tummy and burped out loud.
All of a sudden he heard footsteps outside the door. He swiftly put the tray back in place and rolled himself with the duvet.
From just a slither of gap he peeked outside. The blue-haired man walked in with a frown, but as he saw the empty bowls he let out a sigh of relief.
‘of course he would be relieved. They need me in their plan after all,’ Xia bit his lips, cussing them out inside his mind.
“I know you are awake. Did you eat?” the man directly looked at him through the gap. Xia swiftly pulled the cover tight and acted as if he was asleep.
“Stop acting possum, I asked, did you eat?” he growled impatiently. Since he did not get a reply he kept nagging, “with your situation you are brazen enough to stave yourself. You….you stupid crayfish, have you lost your brain? Did you pour it out again? ‘sigh’ at least did you eat your prescribed pills?”
Xia remained still.
Oli growled out loud and tossed the tray down. “You just wait, I will bring more and I will feed you until you are blown up like a balloon,”
His angry stomps were heard, and the door closed with a loud bang after him.
Xia slowly peaked out. “Why is he so bothered if I eat or not? Mind your own business buddy I am a cultivator I will not die if I don’t eat a few meals,” he grumbled softly. But inside he knew that his body needed sustenance. With his spiritual energy locked in, his body had become similar to a human. He had to eat, poop and pee. “This is so inconvenient,” he whispered and punched the soft pillow.
He heard the footsteps approaching again. He swiftly pulled the covers over him and rolled up again. Little time went by and that crazy fellow returned.
This time the man did not patiently deal with him. He ruthlessly pulled the cover off him and pulled him up by his shoulders.
“Let go!! Let go you blue-haired bastard,” Xia bit his hands, but it was of no use. He was too strong.
The Kirin held a warm bowl of porridge and glared down at him. “Now you eat,” he held it up high, but he noticed something. He carefully placed the bowl on the bed and pulled Xia’s face closer. Small rice was stuck near his mouth. “You ate?”
“Of course I did you psycho. Were you going to pour it down my throat? I thought it only happens in novels. How can you be so ruthless?” Xia cried out loud.
“But—but you were not eating. You were growing weak so,”
“So you were planning to shove it down my throat. If I wanted to die. I would have bit my tongue and killed myself, not starve. My poor stomach can’t handle it,” Xia whispered, caressing his tummy.
The blue-haired man looked stunned for a second before he let go of him and backed away. “then why didn’t you eat for days?”
“Because it stank. The fish you cooked stank so bad that was not able to take even a bite. Don’t you guys know that you have to marinate it in turmeric or salt water to remove the stench? Are you barbarians? How could you eat such a stinky food?!!” Xia shouted in range. When it comes to food, he had always been so picky. After tasting the delicacies of the human world his taste buds had become accustomed to yummy food. Even during their travel, Long used to carry a lot of delicious snacks and dishes in his space ring. He had never experienced a bad meal like this place before.
“I might be a prisoner but you cannot torture me like this,” Xia shouted, standing tall on the bed.
The Kirin stuttered in shock. “Torture… you have been treated like a king!!!”
“King my ass, no king eats such a meal!!”
Oli growled loudly. “Even that bratty Prince Hua Jung ate it obediently. What is wrong with you?”
“I’m telling you that guy is crazy, so he has a crazy taste buds,” Xia jumped in rage.
Oli was not able to argue anymore. He frowned deeply and looked up. “You…if you didn’t like it you could have told me. I could have made some good food; instead you chose to kill yourself. What kind of logic is that?”
“Who tried to die? I’m not suicidal, you idiotic blue-haired man. I have a lover, how could I give up my life like that.” Xia growled loudly. He suddenly sat down cross-legged on the bed. “Besides, I was feeling down that day…..so I was impulsive. I didn’t realise my wound was so deep,” he glanced at his bandaged wrist and grimaced.
“Don’t I deserve a thanks then?”
“Thanks for kidnapping me~” Xia replied sarcastically.
“You crazy crayfish, you really have a big mouth on you,” Oli whispered and sighed. He took the half poured porridge off the bed and pulled the dirtied bed sheets off. “If you don’t like something, just say it. I will try my best to fulfil your wishes,”
“I don’t like being here,” Xia urgently said.
“I can’t help you with that,” his request was immediately shot down.
Xia pouted and glanced at him. “I want my space pearl back…but I guess it’s not possible either…you tossed it aboard,”
“sorry about that…I didn’t think it was that important,” Oli said with a guilty smile.
Xia rolled his eyes and glared at him. “It had a spirit spring. A SPIRIT SPRING, do you know how much a drop of it will cost. ahhhh this is so frustrating. Blue-haired man, you are very annoying,” He shouted out loud.
Oil cleared his throat. “I have a name you know.”
“What is it?”
“It’s Oli,”
“Oli, you are annoying,”
“Okay,” Oli replied with a smile. He stepped to the table and took out a bottle with blue pills inside. “Here it’s your afternoon dosage. You are badly malnourished so you shouldn’t miss it,” he whispered softly.
Xia curiously took the pills from his hand. It was a round blue pill. He brought it over to his nose and sniffed. ‘Weird, this medicine…why is he giving it to me,’ without any delay he broke it into power.
“yaa, I told you to eat, not play with it,” Oli shouted and gave him another pill.
But Xia was too focused on sniffing the powder.
“It’s not poisoned. I assure you. It’s for your health,” he whispered tiredly.
Xia glance at him with his eyes narrowed. “Who are you trying to fool? Which quack gave you these? He probably switched them out. A man should not eat these,” he tossed the powder to the ground and patted his hand clean.
“What the hell? Do you know how much trouble the healer went through to get those? How could you toss it like that? Besides, these are your prescriptions. No one switched it out,” Oli said out loud.
Xia glanced at him up and down. “Crazy man, you probably hired a crazy healer as well. These pills are for nourishing a fetus,”
“Exactly! then why did you toss them,”
“What the hell? Is your ears filled with wax. I’m telling you it’s for a pregnant woman!” Xia shouted out loud and threw another pill down.
“EXACTLY!!! That’s why you should eat it. Darn it. I’m loosing brain cells just talking to you,” Oli grumbled. Without any word he walked close, tossed the blue pills inside his wide open mouth and closed it firmly. “Swallow! now!!”
Xia swallowed with difficulty. The pill was big as a blueberry and it was bitter as hell. He then pushed his hands away and wiped his mouth. “You really are crazy. That pill will cause adverse effects for men. My poor muscled will melt away and mu body will look like a woman’s,” he whispered sadly.
“You worry about your body but not your child. You are the crazy one,” Oli said and shouted.
“Child? What has gotten into him?”
