This Crayfish Is Not Edible - Chapter 251
Hour ago:
“Do you have, honey?” Xia whispered as he was sucking a spoon full of delicious porridge. There was no answer to his question, so he peered up with his eyebrows raised. “What? You are going to starve a pregnant person? How cruel,” she clicked his tongue.
Oli scoffed. “You have eaten everything that is on this ship. Every snack and every sweet thing even Hua Jung is contemplating weather to kill you or not,”
“Shut it. I’m a valuable asset. How can you even think about hurting me?” Xia said with a smirk. He now knew that this person, this Kirin, Oli, would not ally a hand on anyone who was pregnant. It was a weakness of his. ‘He-he, weakness be darned, he should be sad he kidnapped me, I’m gonna make him regret his decision,’ he chuckled mysteriously.
Oli glanced at him with an unknown look in his eyes. “I don’t know what you are plotting this time,”
“World domination with food,” Xia said and laughed out loud. “You sure you don’t have any honey or picked peaches, I am craving some,”
Oli sighed and pulled out a jar from his ring. “That was my last jar,”
“Better be the best,” Xia happily pulled open the lid and scooped out a juicy piece of peach. Just the sour smell made his tongue salivate crazily. He gulped and brought it close to his mouth.
Just as it was about to touch his lips, the ship trembled violently.
The piece of peach slipped and plopped onto the Harwood ground.
“Rest in peach, my dear peach,” he whispered sadly and scoped another spoon full. The peach melted in his mouth, letting out sweet and sour taste inside his mouth. “emmmm, so good, Hey don’t you want some,” he glanced at him.
Oli was too preoccupied looking at something.
“Suit yourself,” Xia scoffed and took another bite of the heavenly treat. “I bet it would taste awesome with some porridge,” he whispered and picked up the bowl from the table. It was almost empty, but he licked the remained and ate it together with the sour peaches. “hmmm, so sweet~~~” he moaned.
“Get up, we have to go!!” Oli suddenly shouted.
“Eh? What?” Xia dazedly whispered.
“I said get up!” Oli rushed to him and pulled him up to his feet.
“Wait, I didn’t close the peach jar,” Xia shouted, but it was too late. The jar that was on his lap tipped over spilling juicy wonders everywhere on the ground. “My—my peaches,” he whispered sadly.
“We don’t have time for that!!” Oli shouted and pulled him to the door.
Xia peered at him. ‘Is this ship under attack? or is Long here!! Oh, I’ve been waiting for him,’ he cheerfully smirked. One of his hands directly went over, protectively covering his tummy. ‘What would Long say when he finds out that we are having a miracle? He would probably faint!’ he chuckled.
“Stop chuckling and giggling!” Oli growled.
“Why, it’s my mouth, I can do anything with it,” Xia scoffed.
Suddenly he was pulled him into a narrow corridor that directly led to the deck. ‘I should find a chance to escape…’ Xia secretly planned.
“get the ores up, no pull the anchor out!!” loud shouted were heard outside.
Oli paused in front of the door. “Listen, I want you to do one help. I want you to act miserable, like you have been starved and tortured. Em, but your face is too round for that to be believable,” he grumbled to himself. He scraped the coal off the sides of the wall and put it all over Xia’s right eye. “Good, that looks like I punched you,”
Xia glanced up at him in wonder. “Kirin, were you secretly nice to me all this while?”
“Only now you realise that? I have been nice to you for a Long time; even that brat Hua does not know that. He thinks that I hit you and torture you with food,” Oli mumbled softly.
“You are a good person, Mr. Kirin, why are you with the bad guys though? Is it because of your beast seal? You know, you can try to fight it….even Long can help you with that. I can ask him,”
“I DONT NEED HIS HELP!!” Oli growled loudly.
Xia was startled in fear. The man had always been soft-spoken in front of him, suddenly shouted to his face. “D—do you hate Long that much?”
“I hate him! I hate him to the core!! My soul will not rest until I’ve split him into two pieces,” Oli growled.
“Oh,” Xia remained silent after that. He could feel the hostile energy overflowing from him and felt a little sad. ‘He might make a good friend for Long thought,’ he thought with a sigh.
Oli applied even more coal on his hand and feet, making it look like it was dark bruises.
“Now, let’s go out and check,” he dragged him out forcefully.
Xia stumbled behind him on his unsteady feet. ‘I have to act pitiful,’ he wiped some saliva near his eyes as if he was shedding tears. ‘This is enough work,’ he thought with a satisfaction. The deck workers all peered at him as soon as he walked out. Their eyes lingered on his face, then at his hand and feet. Some sighed, and some scoffed in contempt.
“Get the oars unstuck. Some of you get down,” Oli shouted loudly. Some people nodded and jumped down.
“What is going on?” Xia whispered softly.
“See it for yourself,” Oli led him to the side of the boat. The sigh below shocked Xia to the core. “W—what happened to the water… where did it go?” he whispered in shock.
The ocean water had disappeared, leaving only mucky, muddy soil underneath. Their ship’s side ores were stuck in that gooey sand.
Oli sighed loudly. “I think we are under attack.”
“Who would have the power to remove an entire ocean thought!!!” Xia whisper shouted.
Oli’s face went rigid. “Heavenly envoys…. only they have such an authority, but….. this envoy is higher in rank. Most likely your lover’s uncle must have come down or his parents might have as well,” he said with a grave look.
“My in laws might be here!! Wow, I need to be presentable,” Xia combed his bird nest hair. But it was not at manageable at all. Sighing, he peered at him. “I didn’t realise that the heavens envoys held such powers,”
“hmm…. they made a promise to the human that when they are facing existential crisis, the heavens envoys will descend and help them out. They have the power to control this entire realm, but before they decide anything, they need to get approval from the royal emperor and the empress.” Oli said, sighing.
Xia nodded. ‘So this person is some big shot, to think Long’s family is here!! Aw, I’m gonna meet my in laws, this is fantastic.’ He internally screamed.
Xia peered out of the boat for a while. The fish and the sharks were twitching on the wetland. Their gills trembled without air. Seeing such a sight made his heart shudder a lot. He wanted to help, but his spiritual energy was locked by the darn thing. He angrily glanced at the golden anklet on his feet.
“Can’t you take it off for a while? I will help those fishes,” Xia whispered softly.
“No, I don’t wish to risk it. You stay still and act pitiful that is your duty,” Oli said firmly.
Xia softly sighed and turned back from the pitiful sight. But his eyes met another annoying sight. That bratty prince Hua Jung was slowly walking down from the upper room. He was weirdly hopping with a grimace on his face.
Oli glanced at him and smirked in satisfaction.
“Ugh, your taste in men has to improve,” Xia whispered in disgust.
“What? Like you, are you willing to be mine then?” he whispered inaudibly.
Xia scoffed again. “As if, my baby Long is better than anyone,”
“Show-off,” Oli whispered and walked over to Hua Jung. He tightly gripped his waist and whispered something in his ear that made the little brat blush like a tomato.
‘Ew, I didn’t need to see that at all,’ he turned over and saw the fishes suffer. ‘Rest in peace fishes,’ he thought and waved at them.
All of a sudden the sky darkened and thunder roared loudly.
“Heavens is really angry,” Xia whistled softly. Suddenly his hand was grabbed from behind.
The brat Hua Jung stood there with a sneer. “You…. look at your ugly face. You deserved all the tortured that was given to you,” he said with a happy smirk.
‘Look at you own mug brat, I am the top of the world beauty. Nothing could beat it. Even you were under my feet just few days ago. Now look at you, just one night and you are over the clouds with that Kirin,’ he rolled his eyes subtly.
His own thoughts really shocked him a little. ‘Why the hell am I making fun of him like that? Is this what people call pregnancy hormones….’ he held back the urge to touch his tummy.
‘Long…. I even started having pregnancy tantrums….. when will you come get me?’ he thought with a sad sigh.
