Xia happily fed his little brother some of the pearls the Mer had given him. The little red ball swallowed it immediately. “He doesn’t even have a mouth how does he eat it though?” he looked at him in all directions. All he could see was a cute red ball. Chuckling, he kissed the little thing. “You know little sibling, you will have a cousin soon. The child is still in my stomach can you feel it,” he placed the ball next to his tummy.

The red ball vibrated happily. “Cousiii!” I exclaimed.

“Oh, you talk as well!!” Xia happily held his sibling. Right then, a jealous dragon stormed into the room.

“I…. even I didn’t feel my son yet he felt him!!” Aotian sat next to him huffing and hugged Xia tight. “I want to hear the child too,” he laid on his lap and listened to the strong heart beat inside. “Wow, his heart!! I can hear him!!”

“Yeah, I heard I am a month along. I bet he has ears too. Why don’t you talk to him?” Xia lovingly caressed his dragon’s soft hair.

Aotian kissed his tummy. “Baby, I am your daddy here. Can you hear me? I love you so much! I love your mother the most though!”

“Hey!” Xia slapped his forehead. “Don’t tell that to the kid.”

“It’s the truth. This child is here with me only because you exist, Xia. I love the most in this world. The moment I laid eyes on you, you stole my heart and made a mess out of it. Listen,” he placed Xia’s hands on his chest. His heart pounded so fast that it almost was as if it would beat out of him. “you are my everything Xia.”

“As are you,” Xia jumped on him and kissed his lips. He gripped his chin and opened his mouth, letting his soft tongue slip in.

Aotian groaned and gripped him tightly, bringing him as close as he could to his body.

“What are you both doing!! A baby is watching!” Yukiya cried, separating them both. “That’s it, no touching until you both get married,”

“Mommy~~ but my little baby craves his touch~” Xia cuddled against his mother’s stomach.

“Don’t act coy dear, has anyone told you having intimate relationship during this time is risky,” Yukiya caressed his face with a frown.

“Really? What else should we look out to,” Aotian whispered, gripping Xia’s hand tightly.

Yukiya look at him with her eyes narrowed. “You should make sure to feed him all his favourite food. Let him sleep a lot. And also you should accompany him when he is walking down the stairs. It is too risky to walk alone,”

“what food should I avoid,” Aotian earnest asked her.

Yukiya sat down next to her, hugging the little red egg to her. “Heat inducing food like mangoes, jackfruit, even crabs should be avoided. He is in his forts month right. He should be extra careful not to walk fast until his third month,”

“hmm okay. I can lift him upright? What about flight? Can he ride on me,” Aotian curiously whispered to her.

Xia watched the two of them happily chatting away with a wide smirk on his face. ‘It’s good that they like each other now….’ he carefully held the little egg and leaned on his mother’s lap.

She glanced down and kissed his forehead. “Long, my baby likes shrimp, but he should not eat them during this his pregnancy. Make sure to control him a little,”

“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it,” Aotian happily whispered glancing at his lovely mate. “I will always take care of him mother-in-law.”

“You better,” Yukiya glared at him once more. “Then what are your plans for your stay….”

Suddenly the whole ship swayed violently. Aotian swiftly hugged them all close and safely taking the brunt force of the fall.

“What’s going on?” he carefully held them all together to him. The door above opened and worried Long Ki peered in.

“Get out! The ship is going to tilt,”

Just as he finished the entire ship titled back, sinking deep into the waters.

Xia, Yukiya and the egg were able to breathe, but Aotian was not able to. Xia swiftly hugged him close and gave him bubbles of oxygen.

Yukiya worriedly gave her egg to Xia and swam above to find her mate. Ki was unconscious, floating around with blood oozing from his head. She hugged him close and shared her breath.

“Come, give this to him,” a white haired Mer swam to her and handed her a small pill. “quickie. he has to breathe. The force of the ship is pulling us down. We can’t swim up!!”

Yukiya silently sobbed and fed him the unknown pill. Immediately Ki took a deep breath and glanced at her. “Ki! Are you okay? Does it hurt badly?”

“No, it’s good. Where’s Xia and little red,” he anxiously glanced around her.

“They are with Aotian!” Yukiya cried and glanced back. The ship they were in had already sunk deep into the dark part of the ocean.

“I’ll save them. You both sate here. Lumi!!” Pricilla screeched out loud. a green tailed male Mer swam to them. “Take care of them,”

Saying this, the old Mer swam swiftly to the bottom of the ocean. In the darkness she could see the ship landing on the sandy ground. “All arms here. Save my great grandsons!!”

Many Mers swam to the ship and tore it part slapping their powerful tails on it. Inside, Xia peaked out with the egg and Aotian in hand. “Grandma tail!!”

“Xia baby! Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?” she anxiously checked all around him.

“Aotian…. he is not breathing… something is wrong,”

“Wait,” she pried open Aotian’s mouth and out in a pill. Immediately Aotian woke up taking in a sharp breath..

“Long!! Baby, are you okay? What just happened?” Xia hugged him tightly.

“I’m good, are you okay? Is the kid okay?” he nervously glanced at his tummy.

“I’m good.” Xia carefully glanced at his sibling. The egg membrane was still intact, and the child inside was active as ever. “He is good too,”

The older Mer swam alongside them, boosting their speed. “Xia. There is something wrong up there. It’s better not to go…” she held his hand.

“But we have to know what is wrong,” Xia and Long swam up. Along way they saw Raijin and Felia being saved by some Mers as well. They were unharmed and breathing properly underwater as well.

“Where is my brother?” Aotian glanced around.

“he is a little further up,” Pricilla whispered and swam ahead, leading them.

Long Ki and Yukiya saw that they were unharmed and hugged them tight. Even Raijin joined this hug along with Felia.

“Eh, where is the ghoul?” Aotian whispered, thinking back on how he was forgetting someone.

“I’m here, master,” a soft voice whispered. The ghoul was carried by a grumpy-looking Mer on his shoulders. “I’m fine, though. Is anyone hurt?”

“We are good,” Long Ki glanced up at the turbulent ocean waves. “Has anyone seen mother?”

“She is still up there,” Pricilla whispered worriedly.

Long Ki along with the other swam up to the surface to see their mother beautifully standing on water. Her hair swayed along the wind, making her look even prettier. But her worried look was the one that caught their attention.

“Mum…” Aotian swam close. “What happened?”

She pointed to something with a frown. It was bright light that streaming up the sky. A dark miasma was emitting form it, making the sky and the lands poisonous. “One of the Rakshasa gate has been breached,”

“What how?” Ki exclaimed in shock. In ten thousand years the gate had been indestructible, keeping the Rakshasas away from the human and heaven realm. “Weren’t the demon lords in control of that,”

“The seven demon lord failed.”

Xia’s heart stopped in that instant. ‘Lian hua… dad…. he went there… does it mean? No, it’s not possible..’ he weekly leaned against Aotian.

Yin Long glanced down at her sons with a grave expression. “Kids, prepare for war!”
