This Crayfish Is Not Edible - Chapter 269
Xia waited near the entrance of the portal. Just a day ago, the first and second left to the human world to help assist Long Ki and Long Aotian. Today they were assigned the task to retrieve Felia who they forgot last time.
He gently caressed the red egg’s shell. “Mum, do you think she will be angry that we forgot her?”
Yukiya gently caressed his head. “Don’t worry, I don’t think she will. But even if she is angry, you have to talk it out. It was our fault in the first place for leaving her behind.. Even I was ahem… preoccupied with something else…”
Xi giggled naughtily. “Yeah, you were all lovey dovey with brother Ki,”
“Call him father,” she corrected him with a blush.
Xi shrugged. “If I do, my Long will come for me and whine all day. Besides, who would have known, that we would end up in a messed up relationship with a pair of dragons.”
Yukiya glanced at the blue sky with a look of wonder. “Yeah who knew…. it all began because I left you all alone. That’s why that bloody black dragon stole my precious cabbage.” She hugged his shoulders and pulled him closer.
“Mum, you did not leave, you got lost. Beside Long Aotian is now a golden dragon not a black one.”
“Details details. I don’t care for him. Anyway, this Felia girl, is she close to you?”
“Yeah, initially we met her in the human realm and became quick friends.. She is a princess too, mum. You should have seen her back then, she went crazy for Raijin. We had to fight a bad man for them to unite,” He mumbled softly.
Right then the portal in front of them was glowing golden and a small number of first troupe returned back with the said human with them.
“Felia!!!” Xia che ran to her and hugged her tight.
“Oh Xia missed you so much!! How can you leave me like that!!!” she slightly slapped his shoulders.
“Sorry…..you were sleeping… and I was saying my goodbyes to my darling. You can say my mind was preoccupied.” Xia awkwardly.
Felia gave him a raised eyebrow look. “Really, I heard everything that night. It was not just your mind that was preoccupied…” she nudging him playfully.
“Come on, don’t tease me..” Xia moaned, hiding his now flushed face.
“Kids, lets go..” Yukiya joined them with a kind smile.
“Miss Yukiya!!” Felia ran and hugged her without any reserve. “I missed you to~~”
“We left just a day ago,” Yukiya chuckled, hugging her back.
“Well, one day was worth a lifetime they say.” She pulled back with a grimace. “And the boys were not fun at all… especially your mate. He kept mocking me and bullying me.” she glanced at Xia with a sigh.
“Long did? I’ll take to him. How can he bully a lady? I guess I have a lot of things to talk with him when we meet..” Xia mumbled as they walked back to the castle.
The first squadron warriors took charge in guarding them.
Even though there was no danger at all…
Xia thoroughly enjoyed their talks. As they moved closer to the castle, a vast crowd formed nearby. it seemed to be a small scuffle.
Their guards all stopped in front of them. “Stay back, your highnesses.”
“What’s going on?” Xia curiously peaked out from behind.
“Something feels wrong…” the man mumbled.
A man dressed in all black was stopped in front of the gates and was interrogated.
Xix did not find anything wrong with this. But all of a sudden the black cloaked man pulled off his clothes and inside was a huge snake coiled all over. His whole spine snapped, and he morphed into a poisonous king cobra with a human body stuck to it.
“Let’s move back.” The guards subtly tried to move them away as they were all royals now. Thankfully, they were all dressed as commoners, so they blended in easily with the panicking crowd. The guards slowly led them towards the castle. The snake Rakshasa did not find their presence at first, but as it slithered around, it sniffed them out.
“I smell a dragon…” the man giggled.
It’s coiled up body spring up with a strong force pushing the top parts faster in their direction.
“Xia run!!” Yukiya cast a powerful water spell around them. Xia as well shot some water swords at it.
The snake stopped and sniffed again. The human form attacked to it snickered. “Such a puny spell….” it smashed it with its powerful tail.
The first squadron warriors all change swiftly changed into their birth form. A huge white tiger, a bear, a cheetah stood in front of them.
“Your highness, get on him and leave,” the white tiger gestured to the huge cheetah.
Yukiya swiftly pulled Xia and Felia on top of the huge beast and tightly gripped onto its nape. “Take us somewhere safe!!!”
“Yes, your highness.”
The cheetah reared up, and it leaped into the sky. Its long legs and huge paws swept up the gravel under them as it ran.
Xia looked back at the white tiger that was fighting with the snake.
“What is that?”
“That is a Rakshasa.” Yukiya said with a grave expression. “I don’t know how it came here, but this is a very bad situation.”
“Why…” Xia and Felia looked up at her for answers.
“Because all of our reinforcements have been sent to the human realm…” she whispered softly. “Xia, hold tightly on to little red the ride is going to be bumpy,”
She sat up straight and launched water balls all around them at the ugly Rakshasa on either way.
A huge bat like creature hovered above them…. “A dragon egg!! That’s mine!!!” he swooped down below.
The cheetah swiftly moved to the side missing its claws by an inch.
Xia tightly hugged little red. He tried to attack it with his water spells, but it dodged all of it with ease. “Mum….”
“Hold on tight!! Xia, don’t be sacred, you too Felia. We can fight our way though,” Yukiya smirked confidently.
A small Koi like being formed in her right hand whist her hair changed into a translucent white. She waved her hands elegantly up into the sky. The water koi in her hand swam up gracefully.
“You send me this puny thing. It can’t even be eaten.” The bat creature chuckled. But suddenly the fish opened its mouth so wide and swallowed its head. The water changed its form, becoming a small ball covering its head.
The Rakshasa suffocated and collapsed from the sky.
“Wow mum, teach me that spell.”
Yukiya gently tapped his forehead. “I already taught you but you did not listen in my classes.”
