This Crayfish Is Not Edible - Chapter 76
Gazing down at her anxious expression, Long Ki hid his face in his hands. “I heard that it can only be removed with…. jshdhs” he started mumbling.
“Stop mumbling. Tell me how to remove it,” she said anxiously.
“It can only be removed with a kiss,” he shouted.
“WHAT!”
What he said was the actual truth. His ancestor…. Well, he was a perverted dragon, before he met his one true love he led a dandy life, seducing women left and right.
But after meeting her, he stopped his playboy life. Still, it was not enough for his one true love to trust him. He removed his spine and made a pair of rings and gave her one.
At first she didn’t want anything to do with him, but the shameless dragon always ran to her crying. His arms swollen from the aftermath of the restraint. She took pity on him and kissed his pain away.
So eventually she fell in love with him.
‘It’s absurd. That stupid ancestor, why did he have to torture himself in the name of love? He could have found another woman to follow around.’ He thought, gritting his teeth.
His right hand pulsed and ached. ‘Now I’m stuck in his trap.’
“hey, what did you mean… by kiss,” she whispered.
He refused to look up at her. “It’s the stupid ring. It’s a restrain, if I’m far from you it will tighten and tighten….. Until my arm falls off,” he said in a mellow tone.
“What. Then why did you use this ring for our engagement,” she whispered. He could definitely hear the confusion in her voice.
“It was not my choice. My mother chose the ring,” he mumbled.
“I knew it. Does she secretly hate you are something? Why would she give her own so such a dangerous artefact?” Yukiya whispered.
She was confused. Why would any mother harm her own son? It was really a confusing thing for her.
She patted his hands, but the guy refuse do look up. “so.. what do we have to remove it?” she said.
“I told you.” He whispered.
“No, I don’t think so. Isn’t there any other way to remove it?” she whispered. “Maybe, if we oil our fingers, it will slide off,” she exclaimed.
She went to her medicine bag again and picked out the small bottle of castor oil. “So if my ring is removed it will lose effect right,” she inquired.
“Hmm,” the dragon mumbled.
“Okay then,”
She poured the entire content of the bottle on her finger and wrung the ring. But the ring was firmly attached to her. “Come on, just budge already,” she whispered while she kept pulling it.
Long Ki watched her from in-between his fingers. ‘Why is this woman trying so hard? It won’t come off even if the finger was sawn off. This is… bad.’ He thought to himself.
He held her hands. “Stop. I’m fine, let’s go,” he said and got up from the rock.
“No, you are not. Did you even look at your hand? It’s swollen and pink,” she shouted.
“So what! I don’t care if I lose my hand.” He shouted.
He did not want to be like his ancestor. Never. He would never force anyone to do anything for him. Even if the situation was dire, he did not want to force her to kiss him, or act shameless to gain her pity.
“Maybe the next town might have a heavenly weapon. There is a chance the ring would break by it,” he said and walked ahead.
There was no sound of footsteps behind him.
“Are you coming or not,” he shouted.
But the woman still remained quiet.
“Hey, stop fazing and follow me. It’s getting dark if we don’t leave now we won’t reach the…..”
His collar was dragged down and a pair of soft lips connected with his.
For a moment his breathing stopped, his heart started pounding wildly.
With her eyes wide open, he watched her eyelashes tremble as she kissed him.
‘Why? Why would she do this for me?’ he thought in a daze as he gazed at her.
She pulled back and whispered, “Shut up.” Her delicate cheeks red and… Her lips swollen and glossy.
Her touch was fleeting, like a dragonfly hovering on the water surface, slightly touching the surface.
Long Ki was still dazed.
“Hey, come on. Let’s go before the sun sets,” she said and walked away.
He followed after her, still in a daze.
Like a fish hooked by a fishing line, his hand was being dragged behind her.
‘Oh god, what just happened? Did that woman just kiss me? Why?’ he thought.
His hands touched his slightly wet lips. ‘Why did it feel so weird? Like my heart was going to stop,’ he thought.
That’s when he noticed his hands. ‘Eh, my hand is back to normal, I guess the ancient story was true.. Dear lord, then that would mean I have to kiss her each time my hand is swollen.’
