This Crayfish Is Not Edible - Chapter 79
Long gazed at him in shock. He knew that he will not be left scot free after all the sulking he did. ‘I hope I will be forgiven after this punishment,’ he thought and nodded his head.
“You are ready to accept your punishment without any argument,” Xia said in confusion.
Long hugged him and nodded his head.
Xia pulled away a little and gazed at him with his eyes narrowed. “Do you know what you did to get punished?”
Long blinked. “I was jealous and I doubted your feelings?” Xia shook his head. “I sulked too much?” he whispered.
“Nah ah, wrong, you jumped down a fucking waterfall. You could have gotten badly hurt,” he said. “What the hell were you thinking?”
Waterfalls usually have rocky bottoms and whirlpools form right at the centre. They were thankful that this waterfall’s bottom was quite smooth. And Xia was aquatic being, so they were able to escape the whirlpool.
Xia sighed and scratched his head. ‘This stupid little snake. He did something that dangerous because he was jealous. That makes no sense,’ he thought in anger.
Long whimpered and stood still. He had a never heard his lover curse before. He was even sure that Xia did not even know a single curse word.
“I…I wanted to make sure if you loved me or not,” Long whispered.
“You risked your life for that? Oh, my god I cannot believe you.” Xia huffed and held his aching head. “Don’t touch me for the next twenty-four hours, that is your punishment,” he shouted and walked out the cave’s mouth.
“But… but… buuuuttt,” Long gaped at his lover’s retreating form. ‘Not touching for a day!!! Oh my gawd, how could I possibly survive? I should have thought my plan through . AHHH, I regret jumping,’ he mentally cried.
But he followed after him with his head down.
Xia pouted at and gazed at the slouched little snake. His heart ached seeing him like this but… ‘But I should not relent. He did such a stupid thing, risking his life like that. How can I be assured that he won’t do the same thing next time? I have to make him realise his mistake,’ he convinced himself to be cold hearted for a while.
He hoped over the rocky terrain and entered the water stream.
“Hold on to my hand,” Xia held his hands out.
With a small smile, Long took it. ‘He just said he won’t allow me to touch him, look at him now. Aww he’s so soft hearted,’ he thought. But he did not dare say that out loud in fear that his lover would let go.
Xia pulled him and swam along. Even after minutes, there were only rocky walls surrounding them on both sides.
“Looks like we fell into a ravine, we have no other way but to climb over that,” he said and pointed to the uneven walls. He narrowed his eyes and gazed at the silly little snake.
“Hehe, I didn’t expect this,” Long whispered with a guilty chuckle.
“Yes, you didn’t,” Xia mumbled and swam over to the wall.
He let go of his hand and analysed the rocks. “Hmm, they seem stable enough; we can climb over them.”
He held onto the one of the protruding rocks and launched himself out of water. With his feet on another rock, he started climbing onto it. Minutes passed by. He climbed and climbed and climbed. “Long, follow what I did, we can get up in no time,” he said and took a look down.
Long was hiding his mouth with tears running down his eyes. “You barely moved an inch, HAHAH,” he said and let out his laughter.
“Eh,” Xia checked around to find he had only moved two feet off of the water surface. “I remember climbing for minutes,” he said.
“Yes, you hovered over each rock and stepped on it, ha-ha-ha it was so cute ha-ha-ha,” he laughed from below.
Xia was mortified, for ones he wanted to showcase his talents to the stupid little snake, but he ended up getting laughed at. “Shut up. You try climbing, we’ll see how high you can go, he said.
“Okay,” Long chuckled and started climbing, his hands steady but and firm. He reached Xia Che in seconds. “See, it’s easy,” he said with a grin. “You step on this rock and hold on to that,” he guided the little crayfish step by step.
“Here?” Xia followed his instructions and found that he had climbed higher. “Wow, I did it,” he exclaimed.
“Little more,” Long mumbled from below him. “Watch your step you might trip,” he said and held his butt.
“Hey, where are you touching? I told you right, no touching,” Xia exclaimed.
Long blinked his eyes innocently. “But I am only assisting you.” he said.
Xia Che blushed red. ‘This guy, he is becoming shameless day by day. Where is my innocent little snake, ah?’ he thought.
