This Exciting Life - Chapter 12 Im A Mama
When we got inside, Yin and Yang’s eyes went completely wide. First of all, they had never met a human before me and they had certainly never seen a human home. In the background Erik Satie’s Gymnopdie No. 1 was playing. I had forgotten to turn the recording stone off.
They kept standing in the entrance way, staring, frozen up, hesitating.
I picked them up one after another and comforted them.
“Yin and Yang, don’t be afraid. This will be your new home from now on. I’ll take care of you and love you. Don’t worry, it’s safe here.”
Then I felt a lick on my right cheek and a young boy’s voice sounded in my head.
“Rea really, mama?”
I was startled and nearly dropped both of them. I stared at the black wolf cup. My first thought was that my mind was playing with me, but then I heard the voice again, this time even more nervous and very confused.
” Mama?”
Holy sh*t! It wasn’t my mind playing tricks with me. I gently put both of them back on the floor and crouched down on my knees, my eyes never leaving them. Then I remembered my skills and took a look at my stats like yesterday.

Now that I looked at my stats again, I did get a slight feeling that my stats were a bit abnormal, but God said they would be reasonable and so I trusted him.
Hmm, I can see that some of my skills from my life on Earth had transferred to this life, like cooking and music. It was a good thing I didn’t choose those to take up space on my wish list.
Anyway, as I was pondering why I could understand the cubs, I felt a scratching on my left leg and this time I could hear a young girl’s voice, almost crying, and I looked down.
“Mama.” cried Yin, the white wolf cub.
I was so distracted with looking at my stats and not saying anything, that my children felt nervous and unsecure. That’s right, I had decided, probably from the very first time me eyes fell upon them, that I would adopt them as my children.
No child or cub, excuse me, should have to fend for themselves and be without a parent. They needed me.
I picked them up and closed the door with my foot and said in a gentle voice filled with warmth and love.
“I’m sorry, Yin and Yang. Mama got a bit distracted. Shh shh, it’s okay. You’re safe now.”
