This Exciting Life - Chapter 9 Magical Tools Are The Bomb
My portable home came as a ring that could transform and all I had to do was to place it on the ground and wish for it to appear. From the outside it was no bigger than 20 m2, but inside I could expand the area and create more rooms if needed be.
On the first floor there was a fully equipped open kitchen with dining room, a living room with a nice fireplace and a grand piano, a library yet to be filled, a storage room and a washing room.
The second floor composed of a bathroom with a big tub and rain shower, a sauna, one master bedroom with walk-in closet and a control room where mana gathered from the outside. It was a modern home that functioned on mana.
The only thing I didn’t have was basically internet, telephone and television. Those concepts were something from the 19th Century and up and didn’t exist in this world. Though God did tell me there were magic tools capable of long-distance contact.
Of other things God had given me, one of the best was probably the recording stones. When I chose to live in this new world, there were several things that I’d miss from Earth, like music.
He gave me a recording stone for every genre I wanted with music that existed up until my death.
In joy, I did a little shimmy shake in the living room and said out loud.
“God, I totally forgive you for dumping me in the forest naked!”

After touring my entire portable home, I came back to the living room and suddenly remembered my hunger. I was famished.
I lighted up the fireplace to make the place more cozy and took out the pre-made food. It smelled heavenly. Thank heavens, my home was already fully furnished, and I had to admit it was luxurious interior and not one bit commoner-like.
‘I have to be careful as to whom I’m inviting in from now on.” I thought to myself as I gorged on my dinner.
Though I was a bit high on all these new experiences right now, I was very much aware that I was alone.

Slowly the suns disappeared and the moons came out. It got cold, just like the Sahara Desert at night. The tall trees and their thick branches prevented the light from the moons to shine through and it was dark everywhere, except from my little house where light flickered from behind the curtains.
I was lying on a chaiselong and going through my skills and stats.
My stats looked reasonable… not that I had anything to compare it to, though. It was all numbers, but one stat looked a bit weird.
I don’t know if it was a mistake, but instead of a number, my level in MP showed a weird symbol that looked like a fallen eight. Did the skill fail, or did it mean something else?
I couldn’t ask God since he told me that after I reincarnated, he would no longer interfere with my life, let alone contact me. I would have to visit The Holy City and that was a long way from where I was right now. I sighed.
As for my Infinite Storage, an item bag with a space of 100 m3 was included. It was to cover up for my ability as a space mage.
After checking out the rest of my miscellaneous items I went to bed.
Though, if I had been just a little more clear-headed, I would not have chosen to sleep in an unknown forest. A big surprise was coming my way.
