This Time You Are Mine - Chapter 319 Hardworking Nights 4
Yve understands that Sunday is the most important day for both of them every week. Vince complies with it perfectly by doing minimal office work and no meetings and appointments which are different from what he’s used to. This is precisely the reason why she’s nervous in asking the question. She needs to ask though.
“I would like to ask you something.” Yve tries to test the waters.
“Hmm… What is it?” Vince calmly asks her.
“You know our Sunday promise, right?”
“Hmm…”
“Can I have this Sunday as an exception?” Yve is getting more nervous as time passes by that Vince isn’t giving him a response.
“My group mates are asking to have a Sunday meeting so that we can finish as many projects as we can. We want to submit the group projects earlier to focus on our individual tasks. ” Yve explains.
“…” However, there’s no response from Vince.
“If you don’t agree it’s fine. I understand.”
“Queen, it’s fine with me. It’s just I hope it won’t be in a public place so it’s easier for your guards to protect you.” Vince voices out the main reason for his silence.
“So that’s what you were thinking. I thought you didn’t like the idea of a Sunday meeting.”
“Queen, I told you I’ll always be supporting you. Now, why don’t you do the Sunday meeting in our penthouse? The internet is great in that place and my guards can easily guard the place.” Vince makes a suggestion.
“I agree with that. It would be nice and we can be more comfortable in a private space.” Yve agrees with him immediately.
“Okay, I will tell the team to check the vicinity of the area.” Vince informs her.
“I’ll leave it to you, then. I will tell them of the meeting place and the time.”
“Okay. Now go back to your room and focus on your classes.” Vince reminds his wife.
“I will. Thank you very much, Vince.”
“No problem.”
With a smile on her face, Yve ends the phone call and returns to her classroom while Vince proceeds with his meeting.
In the classroom, Yve informs her group members of the arrangements that she and Vince came up with earlier. Since nobody knows where the penthouse is other than Yve, they promised to meet in front of SkyMu building at 9 in the morning.
‘I can also check up on the details of the Sunday project before doing my school projects.’ Yve thinks to herself and just in time for their first period professor to arrive.
Their first period is the only class they have for the day with a professor. The rest of the 4 hours are just self-study. To make the most out of it, Yve and her team head to the library to start their second group project. This time, Lester came very prepared with multiple ideas of the project. Yve and the rest listen to his explanations and ask questions while imparting some of their own as well. However, this project takes time with all the survey and tabulation that needs to be done.
“Okay, why don’t we work on the survey sheets for now. Lester and I can use our connections to gather the number of correspondents we need.” Yve shares her idea to lighten up the mood of her depressed group mates due to the numerous tasks needed to accomplish the project.
As she instructed, the members focus on the survey while Lester checks the number of respondents they needed as well as their qualifications. Yve compiles the questions and makes sure that they’re in proper order. After working for about three hours, the team has finally finished the survey sheets and the respondents’ specifications.
“Let me print out some of the survey sheets so that the three of you can gather some. I already sent the questionnaire in your email.” Lester informs them as he leaves them inside the library.
“While Lester is doing those tasks, let’s put the second group project on hold. Now, let’s check the third group project.” Yve tells the team in her attempt to use the remaining time they have.
“We agree with you, Yve.” They are really happy to have Yve as their leader and Lester as the assistant. They both lead them in an efficient and constructive way. This is just the second day of their group meetings and they have accomplished a lot of things.
By the time Lester returns with sheets of papers, the group has finished the initial draft of their third project.
“Sorry guys but I still have some meetings to attend to at work so I can’t extend this meeting. Lester, I have sent you the draft of the third project.” Yve apologizes.
“It’s fine. We have accomplished quite a lot already. Let’s continue this tomorrow.” One of the girls from her group replies.
“She’s right. Plus we have our individual projects to work on.” Another one of the girls responds.
With all of these, they leave the library and go to their separate ways.
In the office, Yve calls the HR manager to her office regarding the possible survey respondents from the company.
“I hope this will not be much of a burden.” Yve politely smiles at the manager as she asks for a favor.
“You’re always welcome, Young Madam. Like the other employees, we’ll be more than happy to help you in every way we can.” The manager expresses her support in behalf of the employees.
“I’ll print the questionnaires and let some of our employees answer them. When do you need these files, Miss Yve?”
“Maybe I can get the files back by lunch tomorrow? Is that possible?”
“Of course!” The manager assures Yve.
“That will be all. You can go back to work. Thank you very much.”
With her second school project in the hands of her HR manager, she checks the progress of the tasks she entrusted to the employees during the day. Some of them include the sample printed copy of poster, invitation and ticket.
“Sylvan, inform the creative department to proceed with the mass printing. They’re in accordance to what I want to see.” Yve forwards her instructions via her secretary.
