As she kept examining, Su Liu noticed that all the Profound Veins were damaged. The baby’s dantian and energy veins were all right. With this, the baby may only be able to ever cultivate upto the first stage of Qi Condensation, and never make any breakthroughs. His future was essentially sealed.

The door suddenly opened and a powerful presence walked through. It belonged to a breathtaking beauty with light green hair, mixed with strands of blue. Her eyes were a mix of a beautiful shade of green and blue, and were very mesmerising. Her robe was a beautiful mix of green and blue and appeared to shimmer in the starlight. She was the Su clan leader, Su Wei the only High-God practitioner in the continent.

Su Wei exuded a cold and arrogant nature, and looked at Liu without any emotions.

“Younger sister, how is the child?” she asked Su Liu, who was pretty upset by the baby’s condition.

Noticing Su Liu’s silence, Su Wei sent her divine sense into the baby and found out it’s conditions. She remained silent for a while before her cold voice sounded.

“It seems this, is your karma. The heavens did not tolerate that arrogant usurper, and by siding with him, the heavens have decided to punish you.” Si Wei’s tone lacked any compassion whatsoever. “I’ve hid you for all this time, from the eyes and ears of the Alliance of Alphas, but I won’t do so any longer. If this child had any potential, I would have done something to protect him… but since he doesn’t, I find no need to do so…

Sister, give up this child… there is no need to waste your potential future for it… turn him over to the Alliance…”

“NEVER!!” Su Liu shouted, her tears falling down on the baby. It seemed to sense her emotions, and started wailing.

“Vincent… did nothing wrong… you all… you’re the ones who’ve always hunted him… to protect our child, he gave up everything… yet even now…” Su Liu’s voice quivered.

“Enough sister!” Si Wei spoke. Her power blended well with her voice. “If you give up this child, the Alliance will stop hunting you.

Why do you want to keep this child anyway?

Look at him!.. he is already crippled.. there is no future for him anywhere… if anyone knows who he is, he will be hunted for the rest of his life…”

Su Liu looked at her elder sister with a killing intent. She was only a Sage Realm cultivator but her eyes had a look of defiance when she faced the High-God. “Elder sister, if the Alliance wanted Li’er… would you give up your daughter?”

Su Wei stopped talking, and her face was a reflection of her anger. She turned around and disappeared, and ripples appeared in space. “Sister, as a subordinate of the Wood Alpha Sovereign… If the Alliance asks for your whereabouts, I won’t hide you again.” Her voiced echoed in Su Liu’s mind.

Su Liu, didn’t reply anymore. A pained expression appeared on her face. Uncertainty appeared on her mind, and the future seemed unpredictably bleak.

Soon the door knocked and a couple of footsteps sounded again. Su Liu lifted her face and a strained smile appeared on her face.

Two people walked in. One was a middle aged man with a small stubble beard. He had brown hair with shades of green in it. His robe was made of fine green spider-silk. He was Su Yunhai, the husband of Su Wei. In the male dominated cultivation world, he was an exception, who allowed his wife to rule the clan and possess more power. Afterall, his cultivation was only at peak Sage level, just short of the Diety Realm, while his wife was at the peak High-God level. He was originally a member of one the branch families, and later on married into the main family. When he married, he promised the previous clan leader that, he wouldn’t seize power and become clan leader. To everyone one, the husband and wife pair was like Yin and Yang. Su Wei possessed a cold and strict nature, while Yunhai possessed a warm and kind nature.

The other person who walked in was beautiful sixteen year old girl, with bright green hair and green Robe with golden embroidery. She appeared to be warm and kind, with also an unwavering resoluteness in her eyes. She is Su Li, the only daughter of Su Yunhai and Su Wei, the genius of the Su Clan. With only cultivation period of twelve years, she reached early Sage realm, and was one of the most well-known cultivation geniuses in the Divine realm. Everyone one predicted that she would enter the Diety realm before she became twenty. Her elemental affinity was only limited to wood, but her cultivation speed was excellent.

Noticing Su Liu’s sad expression Su Li asked, ” Aunt Liu, what’s wrong? Is the baby fine?” She approached and held the baby in her arms. The baby stopped crying and began to doze off with a peaceful expression. Moments later, shock appeared in her eyes.

“Aunt…this is..”Su Li, wanted to say something more, but now she realised why her aunt was so sad.

“It’s alright!” Su Liu smiled lightly “Li’er, now you’ve got a little brother. Would you like to name him?” Su Liu decided to speak of more pleasant things.

“But, It’s your child aunt… don’t you want to name him?” Su Li asked, a bit nervous.

Su Liu laughed a bit, “Big Brother Yunhai, our little Li’er is too shy”.

Even Yunhai smiled when Li’er looked at him, and had an encouraging glance at her.

“Okay!” Su Li smiled brightly. “Your name is Su Yan.” Both Su Yunhai and Su Liu shared an approving look.

Su Yunhai who was silent uptill now, then spoke. “Li’er, take the baby out for a bit of fresh air. Father and Aunt have to talk about some matters”.

“Okay, father” Su Li replied and carried the now sleeping baby,Su Yan out. “Don’t worry little brother, big sis will protect you”.

After she left, Yunhai turned to Su Liu. “Sister-in-law, what did Wei’er speak to you?”
