Thumbs Up, Level Up - Chapter 289
“Hmm… I think you did a great job on the Sky Warlord. It looks great,” Ji-Cheok said.
“You think so?”
“Yeah, it definitely was.”
“Hahahah! Yes! It is a masterpiece. You have good eyes, man!”
Adam laughed heartily at Ji-Cheok’s approval.
“But here’s the thing.”
He got serious again.
“You are telling me that I might end up needing this warship, right?”
“In the worst-case scenario, yes.”
“That’s not good.”
“How many times has it been good?”
A/B smirked at Ji-Cheok’s comment.
“Well, you are right about that. I will arrange a meeting with Stephanie. As soon as possible.”
“Yes, that would be great.”

Ji-Cheok was able to immediately reach Stephanie Jessica, but she was in Canada. She had to finish her work there, so it would take five days at the fastest.
He asked her to contact him when she arrived, and then headed to the core facility of Mount Kunlun.
It was a miniature model of the mountain that was around one meter tall. This model was kept in an enclosed stone chamber at the center of the mountain, and it was the essence of the mountain.
It was actually the one that held the giant mountain up and kept it aloft.
[Kunlun Mountain]
[Class: SS
Type: Structure / Site
A sacred mountain that has long attracted the attention of cultivators. It consists of several peaks, and the mountain itself is both a Treasure Item and a building structure.
It can be controlled by the Talisman of Kunlun.
Function: Flight.
Function: Wide-area shield.
Function: Terracotta Soldiers.
Function: Increases all abilities of the allies by 30%.
Function: Kunlun Spirit Cannon.]
There was one little fun fact about it: it was possible for Ji-Cheok to modify the mountain and add functions to it. It was a Treasure item, but it was also a building structure. He could add things to it and build on it.
«Master, I would appreciate it if you could let me know why we are here.»
“It’s nothing special. I had an epiphany when I was talking to Adam Bronze.”
«You had an epiphany?»
“Yes. One of my main powers is mass production, right? Come to think of it, I don’t think I have used that much of that in combat.”
«Proportional to your other skills, it is true that you have not used that side of your power as much.»
“Well, I mean Bi-Ga and A/B both weaponized the things they created and made them more powerful than their original state. I wondered if I could do that.”
«So are you thinking of modifying and improving this Kunlun Mountain?»
“Yeah, but I am trying to figure out how and where to modify it.”
Adam Bronze had built the Sky Warlord as an ark. This did not mean that it was not capable of combat, quite on the contrary, but it was not specifically meant for combat.
Snap!
With a snap of his fingers, the information he had glimpsed about the Sky Warlord came up on the screen in front of him.
[Sky Warlord]
[Class: S+
Type: Ark / Combat Mothership
A massive space mothership built by the company Adam Bronze founded using his powers.
It is equipped with many combat capabilities, but half of its functions are dedicated to creating an ecosystem for survival.
Built to sustain over 50,000 people, it is self-maintaining and has the ability to convert sunlight to mana to recharge itself.
It is semi-permanent unless destroyed by an external force.
Function: Creation — creates water, air, and other things to sustain a healthy environment
Function: Solar-to-mana Converter.
Function: Flight
Function: Wide-Area Shield
Function: Drones (crafting, combat, healing, defensive)
Function: Auto-restore
Function: Offensive means — Sky Main Cannon, Sky Railgun, Space Missile, Sky Auto Cannon]
Just by looking at the information, he could tell that the warship was actually really versatile. When Ji-Cheok was talking to Adam Bronze, he thought to himself, ‘should I modify Kunlun Mountain like that?’ If he did modify Mount Kunlun into an ark, it could hold at least a million people.
However, that would mean that he had accepted the apocalypse.
So he thought again.
‘What if I converted it into an incredibly powerful combat fortress? A powerful weapon of destruction that could take out even the strongest Gods…. What if I built something like the Death Star from the famous sci-fi movie? But then again, I would probably need an ark if I wanted to save people… What if the world doesn’t end, but it becomes unlivable? What if the monsters are gone, but the world becomes a dystopian realm where it is hard to live because of the pollution or something? Ugh…maybe I’m thinking too much…’
«But it is a fair guess, Master. We have no idea what the last battle, or the final quest as some may call it, will imply. We still have not heard from Ji-Han or Reable. »
“I am sure they both have their reasons and purposes. If they had something to tell me, they would have told me, and the fact that they didn’t means I have to figure it out.”
Ji-Cheok stood with his arms crossed for a moment, thinking.
“Let’s modify the mountain for combat purposes. But lean toward protection, not destruction.”
«Protection, Master?»
“Yes. Let’s make it so it can protect our allies. I do not want to see people die while I’m fighting.”
«Good idea, Master.»
“Well then, open God Emporium!”
With a flash, a huge list of Gods popped up in front of him.
It seemed like there were millions of them.
‘Wait, there are millions of Gods?’
«The world is a vast place, and there are countless beings from other dimensions, so that is understandable.»
There were tons of things in the God Emporium that were not even sold in the regular Likes Shop. They were the core powers of the Gods! And there were a lot of unique ones, just like the resurrection skill he had already bought.
«Master.»
“Yes? What’s up?”
«Leave this to me. I will make it into a great fortress.»
“Fortress? Would that be the same thing as our ‘protection’ plan?”
«You will have to trust me.»
“Okay, I’ll let you do your thing, Cheok-Liang.”
«Thank you, Master.»
“But do you even have time to do it? I know you have got a lot on your plate these days.”
«I have been using my clones.»
After becoming able to materialize into his current human form, he had started to take over Ji-Cheok’s work. He was like a direct assistant to Ji-Cheok.
“Okay, good. Then I will have to do something else… Oh, and you have to do it so that the customers don’t notice.”
«Of course, Master.»
Kunlun Mountain had already been developed and was in use as an amusement park. He had parked it in the sky on one side of Ganghwa Island, and people had to take a high-speed elevator three hundred meters high to get in. Ji-Cheok heard that some people went to the amusement park with the sole purpose of going on the elevator.
Of course, this was exactly what he wanted. A lot of Likes were being gathered, and as far as he was concerned, Likes were more important than money.
‘Hm… If Cheok-Liang is in charge of modifying the mountain, then all I have to do is—’
Woong.
‘Huh? A phone call?’
He pulled out his phone and realized it was Adam Bronze.
“Yes, this is Ji-Cheok.”
—Stephanie is here.
“Already? That was quick.”
—Yeah, I used my teleportation device.
“That’s quite useful, I gotta say.”
—You can come right over here, right? I emailed you the coordinates.
“Yeah, I’ll be there soon.”
He ended the call.
«I’ll be working on this while you are gone.»
“Good. I’ll be back.”
Ji-Cheok used the Steps of Hermes to cross space.
⁎ ⁎ ⁎
The place he arrived at with the coordinates given by Adam was unfamiliar. The place was surrounded by mirrors, but it did not feel like it was arranged in an orderly fashion. It looked like something he had seen on TV, even though he had never been here.
It was like one of those mazes with mirrors in amusement parks, where mirrors were everywhere but they were placed at irregular angles, so visitors got confused by their own reflections.
This place reminded Ji-Cheok of those mazes. It was not actually a winding maze, just a large hall, but it had the same kind of randomly-placed mirrors.
Adam Bronze stood in the center. Next to him, a woman whose eyes were completely covered by a pair of platinum-colored, smooth, metallic goggles sat on a throne that seemed to be made of crystals floating in the air.
Her hair was emerald in color, and her nails were covered in black nail polish.
Whereas Adam was dressed in a suit, she was waiting for him in medieval armor made of metal.
‘I thought she was an Archmage, but she looks like a warrior.’
“I see. You are a God.”
“Really? I had my suspicions, but I didn’t…”
“He is a young God. Probably became a God in the dungeon in the Philippines.”
“He did? I couldn’t pick it up on my detector.”
“Your powers are weak, Adam, and unless you make a pact with Deus Ex Machina, the God of Machines, you will not be able to reach a higher level. Bi-Ga might be able to reach higher, if anything.”
The two were having a shocking conversation about him.
‘It’s amazing that she could recognize me as a God, but the fact that she knew that I became a God in the Philippines… That’s another level. She’s pretty good.’
His Divine Intuition told him that she was telling the truth, not just bluffing or showing off.
At the same time, it also gave him a rough idea of what kind of power she had.
She had the power to read the static past, and the ability to use that to calculate the future. It was not fully a divination skill, but in some ways, it could be superior.
‘That’s amazing.’
He could not see her job or abilities, even with his Eye of Divinity. It seemed like she had some sort of skill or power that blocked his own.
‘That, too, is amazing.’
“Greetings, young God. I am Stephanie Jessica, and I heard you wanted to meet me.”
“It is a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Stephanie Jessica.”
“Please, just call me Stephanie.”
“Stephanie it is then.”
He complied with her request.
“Do you know enough about me now?” Ji-Cheok asked.
“No, I do not. I am having a hard time seeing your past. It is like trying to put together a puzzle, and I can’t see the whole thing unless I put the pieces together. Also, I can’t see the source of your powers.”
“Is there anything I need to explain, then?”
“That’s okay. As far as I’m concerned, I can answer your questions with the knowledge that I have right now. However, Mr. Ji-Cheok, what do I get for answering your questions?”
“I guess you can’t foresee that with your skills.”
“Because your past looks unstable, your future looks unstable, too. In fact, it’s practically invisible.”
“Why?”
