To Be A Hero: A Mha Fanfic - Volume 1 Chapter 23

“Reinforcements have arrived! ”

Iida came bursting through the doors of USJ bringing with him the prepared heroes that are their teachers. All Might entered the scene the usual smile to be found no more. Immediately the heroes split off to go bring the situation under control but most of the villains were already taken care of. Shino and Sora had successfully immobilized Shigaraki and with Shoto’s help had frozen him in place and made sure his hands weren’t anywhere close to get him free. Izuku Katsuki and Shot had successfully taken care of Kurogiri and were standing battered and bruised after this fight. Katsuki and Izuku had removed the metal plate protecting his one weakness, but had been thrown through the portals and into each other’s attacks a couple of times. Once his skin was exposed Shoto worked quick freezing him from the collar bone to his neck, cutting off his oxygen supply as well.

Shino had sent Daichi in search for Momo so she could create quirk suppressors for the two villains, mainly for Kurogiri seeing as he can get free.

The only thing left to take care of was the Nomu. The battle between it and the wonder beast was still ongoing.

“It seems the students have handled the situation well” Emiko said as she slowly drifted into the sky to get a better look of things. “There is an odd creature in battle with another of sorts”

Shino upon seeing the heroes shot herself through the air and landed on a nearby wall.

“Kiddo”

“Yo, as you can see, we’ve got most of the stuff under control. The only problem is that creature there. The one with the exposed brain. The villains called it the artificial human Nomu and it was created to bring an end to All Might. That other creature fighting it is a creation of our classmate Kosei and it’s wearing on her stamina. The boss of this entire thing has been immobilized and we’re currently working on securing his right hand man” Shino updated the heroes on everything that went down. They were pretty impressed with how the class handled themselves and how they managed to take out the villains.

“You’ve done a fine job, young Kiddo. Leave the rest to us” All Might said with a proud smile and jumped through the air towards the raging battle.

Shino watched go before glancing at the white creature on her shoulder. “You can take a rest now Kosei”

At her words the creature froze and turned into paper before falling to the ground. The sane thing happened to the wonder beast. It froze and quickly shrank in size before remaining a paper out of a drawing pad.

“Well, I’m off to see how things are going with my impromptu team” Shino saluted to the heroes and shot off again.

She arrived at her destination and landed right next to Shoto.

“Tagawa hasn’t returned yet? ”

Akio shook his head no. Shino sighed. He would have to find Momo quickly. Kurogiri wasn’t going to stay unconscious forever and when he woke up he could definitely escape.

Ren was seated on the dirt taking the much needed break. Sora sat in front of the detained Kurogiri just staring at him in case he woke up. Shino blinked. Sora! Sora could detain him!

“Sora, can’t you trap him? ”

Sora blinked in sudden realization and facepalmed before his hand glowed scarlet and a circular field formed around the warping villain.

“Why didn’t we think of that before? ”

“I have no idea”

Izuku sighed and fell onto the dirt in exhaustion. “I am drained”

Katsuki was standing next to him, arms folded and glaring at the two secured villains. Shigaraki had been knocked out and hasn’t moved for some time. The only reason Shigaraki was never caught in the anime and magna was because of Kurogiri. Shigaraki is pretty good on his feet, but he could not handle the combined strength and speed of Shino and Sora.

There was a loud crash and the group looked up to see the Nomu flying out of the building followed by All Might flying up to send him back in the dirt. Sora watched with a worried expression. All Might hadn’t been able to keep hisbform up for long and the time was quickly decreasing. Shino had offered to heal his wound countless of times, but he had refused. Such a stubborn man. He said he had excepted his fate already.

The fight continued. All might seemed to have the advantage but the Nomu was stronger than him. He landed a couple of good blows in leaving All Might bloodied and bruised. It seems despite the beating the Nomu took from the wonder beast it still had it’s strength left. Shino could sense the worry rolling off of Sora the longer he watched and she saw the force field flicker for a second.

She sighed

“Sora, go lend our hero a hand”

Sora looked at her as if asking for permission. She nodded and the field faded as Sora stood.

“Katsuki, Izuku , Todoroki. You go as well. All Might needs the help”

“Are you sure? ”

“Yep, the rest of us will keep an eye on these guys” Shino waved off their concern and watched them Sprint off in the direction of the epic fight.

“Was that a good idea, Shihiro? ” Tsuyu asked next to her. “Sending Sora off like that”

“I don’t know. What I do know is that he could not focus with the fight going on. In order for him to use his psionic powers he needs focus. The force field he had around Kurogiri was flickering and would have broken eventually ”

Shino saw a glint in the sky and watched it land near her. It was Daichi’s keychain. Just as it land Daichi and Mono stood in it’s place.

“Mission accomplished “Daichi saluted.

“At ease soldier” Shino joked.

“Leave it up to you to capture villains so easily” Momo said as she eyed the villains.

“Oh that was bot easy. You would not believe the trouble I went through” Shino sighed.

“What do you need me to make? ”

“Quirk suppressors for these two”

Momo nodded and set herself to work. In the meanwhile Shino kept an eye on the fight. The Numo’s bottom half was frozen in ice and half his upper body was destroyed. Katsuki asuualted the glass containing it’s brain until it broke and he was sent tumbling of the aggressive mutant. The Nomu was already breaking out of the ice she Sora punched it in the face to halt it’s struggle for freedom. Izuku stood aside clutching his right arm as blood ran down it. Shino could see the burns on both his arms and knew he had overused his flames.

It was time for the final blow.

Shino smirked when All Might got ready for the finally blow. With the help of Sora’s psionic powers All Might was falling through the air a fist pulled back at the ready.

“Detroit smash!! ”

A gust of wind expanded from the erea so strong it made Shino stumble back.

“Awesome” Daichi gaped ib awe.

Momo had created the restraints and was ready to use it, but before anything could be done Kurogiri snapped his eyes open and his mist started to spread and engulfed both him and Shigaraki

“No! ” Shino ran towards him but they were gone before she could reach them. “Damn it! ”

“For crying out loud! “Daichi wailed at the sky and fell to his knees.

Akio sighed and ran a hand through his hair. His face showed no emotion but his eyes were burning with rage.

“I was too late” Momo said apologetically.

“No it was my fualt. If I had gotten to you sooner he wouldn’t have gotten away” Daichi mumbled in regret.

“It’s no one’s fault” Shino was sitting on the ground tugging on her scarf with a very pissed off look in her eyes. “No one is to blame here”

The battle had ended and the police had arrived. Everyone was revealed to be pretty much unharmed except for Izuku. That massive fireball had taken it out of him and continuing to use his quirk after that brought it’s drawbacks. Everyone was relieved to make it out ok. The heroes we’re proud and commended them on a job well done, but Shino’s group wasn’t all that enthusiastic about their “victory”

“Hey, you guys should cheer up. You managed to handle yourself against a group of real time villains” a police officer patted a frowning Shino on the back.

“Even so” Shino walked away from the officer and towards the exit of the building. “We almost secured the leaders of this entire operation. We had them in our hold and they slipped away at the last minute. It’s frustrating ”

Momo, Daichi and Akio all had similar looks on their faces. Ren looked sorrowful while Tsuyu’s emotions could not be read.

“One thing’s for sure. They will return and the next time we won’t let them run away”
