To Be A Superstar In Another World. - Chapter 40
Lively, I step across the counter and cut a green lemon into slices. I take a cocktail shaker and pour the slices of lemon, some ice cubes and to finish with a small amount of Sprite. I shake it a lot until I get to the point, I pick up a bottle of Vodka and pour it into the shaker to finish mixing.
With the drink finished, I take a glass and pour all the contents, excited to taste the flavor, but seeing the look of curiosity that the girl who accompanied me was giving me, like a good gentleman I offered her. “Layla, how would you like to taste my Caipiroska?”
Surprised I offered her the first glass, she quickly accepted. “All right.” She takes the glass with a curious look and takes a little sip of the straw that I had put in the glass. After swallowing that little sip, a look of surprise fills her face, and she starts to drink faster and faster after she says. “That’s very good.” Very quietly.
Scared at how fast the liquid was decreasing in the glass, I signaled to her with a smile on her face. “Calm down, milady, this may be tasty, but there’s still plenty of vodka, if you drink it too fast the alcohol will take effect on you even faster.”
Hearing my warning, she starts to drink a little slower, but even in the dark, it was possible to see a slight redness on her white cheeks, probably a little embarrassed to have lost control when trying my drink.
When she was going to give me my glass back, I tell her before I blink my left eye. “Don’t worry, you can have that one, I’ll make myself another glass. I’m glad you liked it.” After I say that I start repeating the process to make myself a drink too.
I didn’t realize it, but her cheek, which was turning white, blushed again when she noticed the blink I had given her, leaving her surprised by my boldness, after all, few people had the courage to do this to her.
When I finished preparing my drink, I got out from behind the counter and stopped next to her while I drank lightly through my straw. “So, what did you think of my Caipiroska?”
“I can tell you I wouldn’t miss the next glass.” She said before she brought the glass closer to her mouth and drank some more through the straw.
As we walked towards the group back, I noticed that now she was no longer so far away from me, maybe Caipiroska has gained a few points with her.
Feeling a little freer, I decided to bring it up. “Are you Jason’s sister?”
“Yes, did you notice the difference?” She asked while using the straw to play with a slice of lemon from her glass.
“I thought you looked alike, but it was just a hunch because he picked you to come with me right away. Are you twins, by any chance?” I asked.
“Yes, he’s the oldest. Ever since he started taking over the family business, I’ve felt that he’s become a bit bossier, but I believe it’s just a matter of age”. She said before she took a breath.
“So you didn’t like him asking you to come with me?” I asked as I approached her and faced the beautiful black eyes on her face.
“What? Off course ye… I mean until I didn’t find it tedious.” She started drinking again to try to hide her shame.
“Oh, so I just barely made myself a total bore?” I asked myself by getting even closer to her.
“That’s not what I meant!” She turned to me quickly trying to deny it but was surprised at the distance we were, and she hadn’t noticed.
I opened a smile on my face and walked away a little while as I answered. “It’s okay, I was just playing with you.”
“You… idiot…” She said as she accelerated her pace and began to walk in front of me as she approached the group.
When I look forward, I see Daniel and Jason staring at us with a horrified look without being able to muster the strength to say a single sentence, while other people also kept an expression of amazement to me.
“What happened?” I asked curiously as I tilted my head.
“That’s not possible, Danny, quick, pinch me, I can only be dreaming, I can’t believe something like this happened!” Jason says as he extends his arm to Daniel to pinch.
“Dude, I can’t even be pinched to make sure this is a dream, something like this would never happen in real life, you can be sure.” Daniel said, but he still pinched Jason’s arm.
“Woah, he’s exactly like you told me, Danny, I didn’t think you’d be so precise.” A girl who wasn’t in the group when I arrived said in amazement as she looked at me.
“Can somebody for God’s sake tell me what’s going on?” I asked, intrigued.
“All those 17 years living with my sister, I can count on my fingers how many times I’ve seen her so close to another man, and he didn’t come out of there crippled. Zy, you earned my respect.” Jason said while keeping a serious expression, but rubbed the place Daniel pinched.
“Zy, Zy, Zhanye, please accept me as your disciple, I know I’ve often doubted you, teased you and didn’t believe a word you said, but I admit I was wrong, please be my master and teach me the Dao of winning women!”
I was so ashamed to hear him say something like that the urge to start a fight with him was now too great, but I calmed down and just kept my facepalmed.
As I looked at Layla trying to figure out what she was thinking, I saw her cheeks a little flushed, but apparently, she was now in a cold way, not looking anyone in the eye.
It made me understand that she was a cold person, and seeing me so close to her caused a surprise in these two clowns.
