To Be A Superstar In Another World. - Chapter 46
I felt my body heavy… but heavy in a different way, very different from how I felt when I was fat, it was as if I didn’t really have any strength now. Feeling my head hurt, the last thing I remember happening was a blue BMW M3 losing control and hitting the back of my car, at that moment I blacked out for a few seconds, and when I opened my eyes again I saw a familiar face looking at me as I drove a white Audi TT and was speeding out of there.
That face… I’m sure I know it… there’s no way I can’t remember the person who made me an isolated kid who wouldn’t leave the room because he was up to his neck in depression, there’s no way I can’t remember the kid who made all the students in my class hate me for something I didn’t do, there’s no way I can’t remember the kid who hit me just because I was fat, not like I can’t remember fucking Scott Winter! The son of a bitch who bullied me all through elementary school and practically made me hate my life… wait a minute… made me hate my life? I… I am Zhanye Black… son of John and Sarah Black, but at the same time, I am Zhanye Black, an abandoned orphan who had to turn to live his life. I am both, my memories now are just one, the memories of Zhanye, who lived two lives.
When I remember what Scott did to me, an anger that I never felt began to sprout in my chest, full of dissatisfaction and a feeling of being wronged. I spent a month on vacation since I took over my other life, but because I didn’t get in touch with anyone who caused me any harm, I started to feel that life was the thousand wonders… I couldn’t be more wrong, there are still stupid people like that idiot Scott, but it was good that I remembered him now, since I’ll have enough time to make him pay dearly for what he did to me.
In my first life, as the orphan Zhanye, I developed a humble personality that treats everyone well, but I had to develop a line of tolerance to protect myself as well. If a person does something for me that crosses that line, you can be sure that I will do everything I can to give you back three times what you tried to do for me.
And Scott Winter, you can be sure, revenge is a dish you eat cold, what you’ve done for me is not something that can simply be solved with a friendly conversation, far from it.
But more importantly… I need to be alive to get even, but right now I can’t even open my eyelids.
However, to my happiness, my senses begin to return and I notice small beeps occurring occasionally. If I can hear anything, it’s because I’m definitely still alive.
I start to put more strength into my eyelids so I can try to open my eyes and find out where I was, and as I open, I feel as if knives are cutting my eyes.
I was in a hospital room, the light from the window coming in gave me a horrible look. But fortunately, when I forced my face to try to adapt, the curtain began to close automatically and the person who had pressed the button for it to close had turned to me.
She was a young nurse, probably in her 25s. When her eyes stared at mine, a glance of slight happiness sprang up and she pressed a button before coming to check my condition.
“It’s okay, don’t force yourself, trying to do something now will only be bad for you. Wait a minute to try talking, okay?” She said worried while looking at the screens around me.
Understanding her concern, I held on to my words and began to observe the place. It was a hospital room probably reserved for VIP people, with wooden details, a big TV that was now off, small Bonsai trees, and even a small smell of nature that entered through a small window opening.
Suddenly, the sliding door opens and an elderly man enters wearing a white coat while holding a clipboard.
Without looking at me, looking only at the clipboard in his hands, the doctor asked the nurse. “What is it, Joyce? From what I’m seeing here, it looks like he’s got it all normal.” for visiting.
The nurse held the laugh and said. “Doctor, look at the patient.”
Hearing her warning, the Doctor took his eyes off the clipboard and stared at my clear blue eyes that stared at him with curiosity. “My God, the boy’s awake! Quick, let Director Black know, he said to let him know immediately when he wakes up!”
Hearing the Doctor’s warning, the nurse left the room in a hurry and went after Director Black, who I assumed was my father.
The doctor approached me carefully and said as he picked up a flashlight in his pocket. “It’s okay, kid, please look at the light.”
I did what he asked and faced the light from the flashlight he pointed at my eye, the feeling hurt a bit, but I knew this was a standard procedure to detect something important. The doctor began to perform some simple tests to see if I was okay, until the bedroom door opened again and a man appeared while panting.
“Are you awake, Zhanye?” My father said breathlessly as he stood beside me and held my hand.
I tried to gather all the strength I had and told him. “Yes, I did, Dad. How long I slept.” Every word I said sounded like I was spitting a few knives, since I hadn’t moisturized my throat once since the accident.
“How nice! You slept for a whole week.” He said with a concerned and happy look that I finally woke up and apparently still manage to think well after a blow to the head.
The nurse kept a surprised face the whole time, seeing how Director Black, who was always so strict, was acting when he was next to me.
