To the Depth of Abyss - Chapter 205
“Why are they keep coming!?”
“There is nobody of us who got caught by them, right?!”
“Be careful with the laser!”
They all consist of 3 Diamonds and the rest are Platinum.
Even so, they were having a hard time keeping up with the boundless power of the Army of the Demon King.
They were not really the Army of the Demon King. It’s just, they have the same characteristic.
Army of the Demon King appeared in the North Region Conquest Expedition.
The Saints – at that time, Soul Saint, still together with the other three – together with the Legends, fight against them.
They were having a hard time too at the time. Because they only learnt about the Army of the Demon King characteristic after they losing many of their warriors.
The Army of the Demon King was already really difficult. Let alone the Demon King himself, who only showed up in front of the Saints, then never came back.
“Skadi!”
Jade pull Skadi because she was too deep inside the Minions.
While being pulled and chased at the same time, Skadi draw her sword far back. Silver Sky Staff was always in front of herself on defense stance.
She took a deep breath. Putting all her strength into her right hand.
“Seeahhh!”
Then she performed a forward horizontal slash that created a fierce wind slash.
The fierce wind slash killed dozens of Minions.
Skadi is really amazing. Even though she cannot cast an Art, and Silver Sky Staff only able to be her shield, she could put an attack like a Medium Offense Arts.
“Don’t force yourself too hard, Skadi!”
“Don’t worry. I can do this all day.”
Jade worried about that colleague of hers. But it looks like she became exaggerated.
“That snail is already in front of us! Should we retreat?”
Arlene trying to suggest a stop in their fight.
Because they could rest for the night and continue tomorrow.
Mountain Snail need about two days to reach Mutiara City. So Arlene’s suggestion might be a good idea.
“Yeah, let’s do that!”
With that, Jade pulling all of her members carefully. Don’t let any casualties fall when they are about to retreat.
After pulling all her members, she lowered them from behind Green Boy’s back.
“What are you doing, Jade? Deactivate Green Boy too!”
Arlene smells something unpleasant from Jade’s gesture.
If she stayed to carry them safely to the ground, that’s make sense. But that’s dangerous. Because the Minions about to reach her.
When they think Jade would do something careless, she starts to cover herself inside Green Boy branches.
That was a smart move. With that, she is safe and she would be able to get down by controlling Green Boy’s branches.
However, when Skadi and Arlene thought Jade would be okay, her member start shouting.
“SEONBAE, DON’T!”
“Leader! Please don’t do that!”
“Let’s retreat and think of another plan!”
All of their request were asking for Jade to retreat with them.
They were so worried, like Jade would sacrifice herself in the fight.
Then Arlene remembers something. She looked at Skadi and Skadi looked at her too. At the same time, they thought something that they will never think about.
Meanwhile, inside the branch’s dome, Jade has made up her mind. She will unleash the true power of Green Sky Shield.
She did not know if that will work to stop Mountain Snail. But at least she can annihilate all the Minions, hopefully.
She could hear the Army of the Demon King roaring outside.
They are very cruel creatures. They don’t think, nor they have a soul to begin with.
Demon King created them to conquer Older World of Abyssal Terra; Hera said.
The story was too ambitious because the concept of other world was still unclear.
There was also a theory of all Abyssal Citizens came from the other world too.
Jade is not like Arlene or Skadi, who was the second generation of Abyssal Hunter.
She is the third, if she not mistaken. She only experienced a little of conquering expedition. So she is not that strong compared to Skadi or Arlene.
But she has many experienced with Staff Saint.
When the Saint was still alive, she attended many lectures held by the Saint at Saint Arcane Academy.
Now, the Academy and where the Saint being remembered, will get destroyed of the Mountain Catastrophe Beast passed her.
Because of that, she will give all of her to stop the Mountain Catastrophe Beast. Even just for a day, an hour, or even a minute.
She will become the fuel to unleash the true power of Green Sky Shield.
In the past, when she receives the Shield, Staff Saint once said, ‘the shield has an aura like the Adam Tree’.
The World Tree, Adam. The towering trees pierced the sky.
So sturdy and can’t be destroyed by time.
If she could become like the World Tree, or even the smallest version of it, it could possibly stop the Mountain Catastrophe Beast.
Yeah, she will become like the World Tree.
She focused all of her mana to Green Sky Shield.
Unlike the other Abyssal Unique Weapon, the Seven Colour Weapon potential is depending on their bearer.
So, the true power of Green Sky Shield is depending on Jade.
But she will not let her let down by herself.
That was why she will become a big, giant tree. To save the place beloved by her from danger. Until the true hero will come.
“Hm?”
When she was about to unleash the Green Sky Shield power, she no longer heard the Minions roar.
All of that was replaced by the sound of a very strong wind, like a tornado.
Sure enough, she opened her protective dome and found an inverted tornado sucking up the Minions.
A tornado flipped over, whose feet were in the sky, while its head was above Mountain Snail.
All the Minion sucked in by the tornado.
The view was like a vacuum cleaner that sucked up all the dirt.
Then, without Jade realizing it, someone was hovering above her.
A man. He rides something like a board in shape of a sword.
In the man’s hand, there is a reddish spear which Jade could recognized it immediately.
The reddish spear is the Red Sky Spear. The Spear who can issue a really strong AOE skill.
The man raised the Red Sky Spear to the sky. Then issued a flash of red lightning to the tornado.
The next second, red lightning rained down on the tornado. Killing all the Minion.
“He finally came.”
