Tommorow - Chapter 3 Letter
“I don’t know, but should I give her the letter?”
The boy asks his friend casually while staring at the little letter he was fiddling in his hand. He was resting his head on his arm in a sad and resigned way. The girl beside him continues to write down something in her notebook, never once lifting her head from it; almost like she didn’t hear a thing from her troubled friend.
for visiting.
“Should you?” She said quietly, her pencil tuck under her chin in thought. The algebra problem in front of her was making her eyes spin.
“I mean, I know she doesn’t like me, look at me, but I don’t-I’m like…, ” he turns to her with a confused expression, shrugging his shoulders.
“Afraid that she’ll reject you?”
“Yeah…”
Sighing, she places her pencil down on top of her notebook, letting it roll for a bit and then turn to him.
“Listen, I’m not that great with advice, but honestly, I think you should go for it.”
When he didn’t respond, she sighs again, mumbling something before patting his shoulder awkwardly.
“Unrequited love is horrible, but it’s not an excuse to not face your crush and tell her you like her.”
She apathetically answers as she stares into his mopey eyes, trying to get her point across.
When he didn’t respond, she only shakes her head, a little disappointed in her friend and went back to work. Picking up her pencil again, she was about to resume when she felt a nudge at her side.
“…Thanks.”
She smiles and nods her head in acknowledgment.
‘Me too.’ She thought, enjoying the comforting feeling in her chest.
