Transmigrated as the Domesticated Rabbit of the Sick and Frail Villain in the Apocalypse - CH 43.2
Chapter 43.2 – Separatism of Both Forces (2/4)
After Yin Yiliu put on the little slippers she had just bought and walked into the house with clank clank sounds, Zhao Qiyang finally understood why his sister was making such a fuss.
He was even more shocked than his sister, and when he abruptly sat up on the sofa, he even tore a wound on his back and thus grimaced in pain.
“Owww… Big Bro Jin, whose child did you steal?”
Jin Yang gave him a cold glance, held Yin Yiliu’s little hand to the living room, and said solemnly, “I have something I need to tell you.”
The Zhao siblings exchanged glances, expecting him to say something important, but Jin Yang cleared his throat and said seriously, “This is Bunbun.”
Yin Yiliu raised her soft little paw in response and grinned at the Zhao siblings, showing a few of her milky white teeth. She was like a sweet little steamed bun.
The Zhao siblings initially assumed that Jin Yang was joking with them, but after observing the man’s serious expression, they realised that Jin Yang was not joking. He said that the little girl in front of him was Bunbun, the smart and powerful little rabbit he had kept on the tip of his heart all the time.
Only then did the two discover that the little rabbit who had always appeared as part of a set combo with Jin Yang had vanished today.
Zhao Qiyang gave a dry laugh. “Stop joking, bro. Quickly return the child you stole…”
He was talking non-stop when he noticed Jin Yang whispering in the ear of the little girl next to him. After the little girl nodded, he took off the hat from the girl’s head.
A pair of pink and white rabbit ears were immediately revealed. After a shake, they stood upright on her head. The Zhao siblings lost their voices and stared at Yin Yiliu with widened eyes.
Was this really Bunbun?!
Half an hour later, Jin Yang expressionlessly used the explanation he had thought up earlier and successfully fooled the siblings.
He said that Yin Yiliu was his distant cousin, who had become a rabbit hybrid in the early days of the apocalypse. The little girl had suffered a lot of psychological trauma since then and had been following him in rabbit form until today.
Yin Yiliu was busy stroking the wolf pup in the yard at that moment. The pup’s body was like an inflating balloon these days, increasing in size almost every day. Every day it woke up, it was taller and stronger than the day before.
The mutated monkey’s fingertips were very sharp, leaving deep lacerations on the pup’s back and abdomen, and the surrounding smooth and black fur had been shaved off when the veterinarian treated the wound. So, at this time, there were two bald spots on its body, and the revealed pink and tender skin looked a little funny.
The wolf was feeling depressed. In the yard, it was lying on its stomach while spacing out and occasionally wagging its tail. When it felt that the tip of its tail was gently tugged by a small hand, its fur stood on end as it howled at the little girl behind it.
Yin Yiliu was too small in its eyes. Although it was also a pup who had not grown up yet, the human cub in front of him was just too soft and tender, it was as if it could swallow her whole in one bite.
It didn’t dare to use force, for fear of hurting this fragile and delicate bun. Knowing that Yin Yiliu could understand its words, it chased her away impatiently.
When Zhao Sihui, who was in the room, looked out the window, she could see a small bun was squatting beside the black wolf and playing with the pup’s fluffy tail.
Because she had experience in taking care of a younger brother, Jin Yang asked for her advice on how to take good care of a child.
She recalled the embarrassing things her younger brother had done when he was a child, and without regard of the mentioned person being just beside her, she told Jin Yang all of them one by one, causing Zhao Qiyang to yell in dissatisfaction.
In any case, the Zhao siblings still felt weird about the sudden addition of the cute little child to their side.
During dinner, Yin Yiliu finally had her own small chair, and her small bowl was filled with food that Jin Yang had taken for her, with the meat and vegetables evenly distributed.
She had always loved eating meat, and she hardly ever touched vegetables. She pushed the greens aside with her small spoon, but Jin Yang made her eat them.
“Don’t be picky.”
The little girl wrinkled her face and ate the vegetables bitterly.
Halfway through the meal, Yin Yiliu suddenly burped, and then with a plop sound, her body unexpectedly changed back to a little rabbit, and the small spoon in her hand fell and rolled on the ground.
She lay on the chair and turned her head to meet Jin Yang’s solemn and panicked handsome face.
“Chirp,” Bunbun made a soft sound with an innocent look on her face.
Ah, she had forgotten that there was a time limit for remaining in human form.
After her sockpuppet was revealed, she had followed Jin Yang back to the house. She had also changed back to rabbit form once to prove her identity to Jin Yang, and after she turned into a human again, she had forgotten about it.
She hadn’t expected herself to turn back into a rabbit uncontrollably at night. Now the Zhao siblings completely believed that the rabbit was Yin Yiliu.
When Jin Yang saw the little fella suddenly turning into a rabbit, he thought that there was something wrong with her body. He nervously held the rabbit in his arms and examined her body. Yin Yiliu had to pat him with her paw for a long time before he stopped.
There was no wound, and the little rabbit didn’t act like she was in pain either. After he hurriedly ate and cleaned up, he took the rabbit back to his room.
There was a flat bunny pancake spreading on the bed. Jin Yang was still worried. He pinched the little fella’s soft paw pads and asked, “Are you really okay?”
Yin Yiliu nodded her head and let out soft chirps. She stuck out her fluffy chest and patted herself with her short paw, indicating that her body was in great condition. The man’s tensed heartstrings then finally relaxed.
He gently rubbed Bunbun’s little head with his fingertips, before he tucked Bunbun in with her little blanket.
“Let’s sleep.”
